Emily Pov
This is a lovely place I think, as I hold a bunch of sunflowers. The field is green and lush, the lake is clear and blue, the sun is shining and sky an azure blue with white clouds. To the right are mountains and I feel so relaxed. I wish I had some sweet tea and it just magically appears in my hand. As I take a sip I look out across the lake admiring the beauty when I hear my name being called. I turn and see a women standing there. She has green eyes, blond hair and is smiling at me.
"Do I know you?" I ask.
"No, but I know you. I have been watching and waiting for you for a long time."
"OK. Why?"
"I am the angel for the Blackbourne Team. I watch over my guys and when I saw you with them at the first meeting, I knew you were the one for them."
"When their bird passed, they were devastated. They did not understand why she chose to leave them. What they did not know was when you get ready to pass, you get clarity that is not on this earth and it's hard to put into words. Bad things happen to good people. She knew her time was up, but she did not want them to give up on love and themselves.
"She knew how fragile and broken they were, and she also knew without her they would shatter when she passed. She watched them suffer and work themselves to the bone. When Phil prayed that they heal and learn to love life again, I was able to step in. Then they met you, and I knew you were the one for them. I have been trying to get them to see that, and have appeared to them in dreams and visions to guide them to you.
"I have a lot of issues and I am not sure if they want me. Do you think they would want me after what I have been through."
'"It's not what you have been through that will be an obstacle. That only makes you stronger and perfect for them. It's what they have gone through and their love for her that will be the obstacle. The questions is, are they worth fighting for? Do you want to be with them?" she asked in a whisper.
"Yes, I want to be with them."
"Then you must go back. Fight for them and I will fight for you."
"What's your name."
"I have many names so it does not matter."
"Will I see you again."I ask her tentatively.
Smiling, she says, "Yes, I am sure you will". She reaches out her hands to me and I take them.

Sean Pov
I am exhausted. I have been here since we brought Emily in and I need a nap, or I will be no good for her or anyone else. I see an empty room and head in, turning to close and lock the door. I will just rest here for an hour and then go check on Emily and my brothers, I think to myself and I lay across the bed, go to sleep instantly and start to dream.
"Dr. Roberts, what's wrong with me." Sang asked. I can't feel my legs and I can't get them to move. I feel so sore. My chest and my head are throbbing something awful."
"Sang, You have several broken bones in your legs. Your lungs were punctured when you were stabbed. You suffered severe traumatic brain injury. It's causing swelling on the brain. When we did the CT Scan, we noticed you had a tumour. If we can operate, we can release the pressure and remove the tumour. If we don't, we are afraid it will rupture. If that happens, you'll lapse into unconsciousness if the swelling increases you could die within 24-48 hours."
"If I have the surgery, what are the complications?"
"Brain surgery is always delicate. There is a specialist here that would do the surgery. You could bleed out, you could have a seizure. I believe you will be fine. However, there was severe damage done to your spine and I'm sorry but you are paralyzed from the damage done to the nerves. You may be paralyzed from the waist down. Our first priory is to get the swelling to go down in your brain. Then we....."
"Stop. Are you saying I have a tumour in my brain that may rupture and kill me. I also have swelling in my brain that may kill me and if I survive this, I will not be able to walk again. Is that right?"
"Yes. Since you are not married to any of the guys and you have no biological parents or family, you must decide what happens. As your doctor and friend, I would say let's do the surgery. You have been out for 12 hours and we need to get this done right away."
"No.." she whispers. "No. I don't want to live like that. How will I die?"
"Sang, you are not going to die. We just need to do this right away. There will be a lot of therapy, but you will be fine."
"No. I don't want to live like this. I am going to die either from the tumor or the swelling on the brain. I will take the time to say my goodbyes while I can."
As the guys had started shouting, she brought her finger to her lip and started shaking. Owen removed her finger and she looked up at him and smiled. I knew he supported her in her decision.
She nodded at him and turned to the rest of the room, and calmly told them what she was doing. She loved us all and that sometimes bad things happen to good people. She loved us all very much and if we could not stand to be there, we could leave and she would understand.
Dr. Roberts and I tried to convince her to have the surgery, but she said no and my heart dropped. As a doctor, this is what you dread; When you can save a patient, but they refuse. It shattered me because the love of my life just told me she wanted to die and I could not change her mind.
When I went into her room I could tell she was in pain and I wanted to take it away. She smiled at me "Sean, I am not changing my mind so don't ask. I don't want Dr. Green, I want Sean. My fun loving, smiling, joking, caring, sweet and perceptive Sean."
I walked over to her and wrap my arms around her and hug her the best I could. As the tears fall from my eyes, I tell her I love her.
I wake up with a start as my phone goes off. I turn and look and see it's for Emily's room. I jump up and run to her. I may not have been able to save Sang, but I will save Emily. Taking a deep breath to steady my nerves, I open the door and walk in.
"Sean, she is mumbling....."
Annie is cut off when Phil comes in behind me.
I look over to my right and I see Annie holding her hand and my beautiful future moving in the bed. I walk over to her left and touch her arm and gently stroke her hair. She turns to the right and opens her eyes.
"Annie?" she croaks out.
"Oh Darling, I am glad you are awake now."
I squeeze her arm happy that she is finally opening her eyes "Hey. Welcome back Beautiful." I smile down at her. She blinks a couple of times and smiles.
"Hey Dr. Flirt."
"How do you feel Em's." asked Phil.
"Like I went 10 rounds in a Mayweather fight." she moans.
Phil laughs as Annie places a cup of water to her lips and she sips slowly. When she takes it away, Emily tells her thanks.
Phil quietly questions her, "What is the last thing you remember Emily?"
"Taughting Nami so she would focus on me and not the door leading into the room. They she and Damien shot me." she wheezed out and looked faint.
"Did we get him?" she asked.
"Yes, we got him. You will never have to worry about him anymore." states Phil with an edge to his voice.
"Good. I was trying to get them to focus on me, so no one else would get hurt and you guys could enter the room. Did anyone else get hurt?"
"Everyone is fine, they are just worried about you." states Annie as she pats her hand.
"Ok. I will see them later after Phil and Doc tell me what happened to me. Right now, I just want to go back to sleep." she states as she closes her eyes and is asleep before I can say a word.
"I am sure everyone will notice the bruses, cuts and welps. She did a good job hiding her abuse with the makeup."
"Yes, that's true Sean. I am sure they will want to murder him for abusing her."
"I don't blame them Phil. I want to shoot his dick off for what he did to her." hisses Mrs. Roberts. "That is why I made sure he was place in the worst prison we had and ordered the warden not to place him in protected custody. I want him in with the general inmates."
"Remind me not to cross you."
"Another reason why I married her Sean. If you can't beat her. Make her your partner."
We all laugh and I look back at her. I rub her left cheek with my hand and she turns into my hand and exhales contently.
"I will go out and fill everyone in that she woke up." I state. I kiss her forehead and tell her I will be back. I leave the room and go to the waiting room to tell everyone the good news.
