"Thanks for following me home Phil. I really appreciate it."
"Not a problem. Let me help you unload the truck and before I go. I also want to see who is here tonight," he says as he slams the door to his truck.
"I think it's North and Luke. I see North's Jeep." I answer as the garage door closes.
"You need some help?" shouts Luke as he bounces down the stairs followed by North.
"Baby girl, is that your black truck?"
"Yes, he is a sexy beast isn't he?" A smile as I run my hand along my black Dodge Ram. North is in awe of my truck as he walks up to it.
"Be careful with my baby. I worked my ass off for this boy and he is the crown jewel in my collection."
North says "I will take care of your baby. I love all types of cars. Can I go take a look at it."
I turn to Phil "Is he good with cars? You know how I am about my children?"
"Children?" Luke and North reply at the same time looking stunned.
"Relax you two. Emily is referring to her garage of cars. She calls them her children. Yes, Emily. He is excellent with cars. North and Brandon work on our cars so I trust him with yours. He is the one I was telling you about."
"North is the guy you were talking about?" I turn to look at him. "Well, hell yeah, you can look at them and work on them anytime. I will introduce you to them all one day. Here are the keys." I say as I toss the keys to him. He catches them without taking his eyes away from the truck. Nathan was not kidding when he said North was going to love my truck.
He opens the door "Shit. You've got a 2015 Ram 2500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4 with what looks like an 8' box in the Black Appearance package. May I see the inside?" he asked as his eyes never left my baby. Boys and their toys.
"Sure." I grin.
"It must be a great truck to get him that hard. What kind of truck is it?"
"It's a 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4 with the I6 Cummins Turbo Diesel Engine. This bad boy has a payload of 2,250 lbs. has a black interior with heated front seats, High back seats and steering wheel, floor storage, satellite radio, remote start, park assist, Key-less entry, automatic lights, fold away tow mirrors, sunroof, 20 inch black painted aluminum wheels with all seasonal tires. I have halogen lights, black leather steering wheel, power mirrors. I even convinced them I needed two ramboxes. One on each side." Smiling, I continued "I love that truck. I just need to find someone I trust to keep her running good. I did not like the mechanic at the dealership at all. He gave me the creeps and I think he messed up my baby just so I would come back."
"Don't worry baby girl, I will take care of this beauty. It will be in exceptional care. Now, what do you mean he gave you the creeps and messed up this beauty to come back to him?" North almost growled.
"He was just flirting too much North, and I think he did something to make me come back. The check engine light came back on and when I went back, thankfully someone else waited on me. He said it was just a screw that needed tightening." I shrug.
"Well, I am going upstairs. I want to take a bath and catch up on my stories. I have not had a chance to read them and all week my notifications have been going off like crazy."
Phil and Luke thank you for taking my things up." I yell at them as they carry my things upstairs. I grab my spear and shield.
"North, I trust you with my baby, but if you so much as breathe on it wrong, I will hurt you."
I hear him grunt a reply as I turn and go up the steps and into my apartment. I am suprised to see all of the guys sitting around the living room. I know my mouth is open and I am shocked as they are still in their costumes. It appears only North and Luke changed clothes.
"Close your mouth Puff-Puff, you will catch flies." Nathan called, as Luke and Phil laugh coming out down the hall way. That breaks me out of my trance.
"Sorry, what are you guys doing here? I thought you would be at home. Is everything alright?"
"Sorry for the surprise Miss Sway. I know you wanted to meet up tomorrow morning, but we wanted to see if you were opposed to going on a weekend trip with us to Savannah this weekend. We were going to leave after we finish the meeting tomorrow, and we will be back in time for your dance class on Monday morning. What do you think?"
"That sounds great. I have not been there in a while. I just don't have anything packed. I would hate to hold anyone up."
"I will pack for you. Don't worry about it."
"Gabe, you can't pack my stuff. You have to pack your own stuff."
"Gabe packs for all of us and he is used to pack for us and Peanut."
"Well, I don't know who Peanut is, but if it's not a problem Gabe, that is fine with me. Packing is not my forte. I have luggage in my closet. Have at it."
"Finally, I get to see what's in that lovely closet of yours. I have been wanting to check it out since I first saw your room." Gabe's face lit up like a Christmas tree and I swear his eyes sparkled like the ocean.
As he stood up to go to my room and I stopped him "Before you run to my room, and since everyone is here, I need to talk to you guys. Phil, can you wait about 10-15 minutes before you go?"
"Sure Emily. I am sure Annie is at home reading anyway."
I walk over to the couch and set my spear and shield next to it as Phil took a seat on one of the chairs. Sean gets up and sits on the couch next to Victor and North came through the back door.
"Baby girl, I love your truck. It's as good as my Jeep."
"We knew you would like the truck" states Nathan.
"You knew?"
"Yeah. Emily drove it the night of the concert and we brought her home in it. Drives like a dream." grinned Si.
"tycherós bástardos" grumps North as he sat on the floor and Si starts laughing.
"What did you want to discuss, Sweetheart."
"Well Kota, I talked to Alec yesterday and he told me about his girlfriend. When he showed me a picture of her, I knew exactly who she was. Here name is Nami and her sister is Rin. They are the Kataoka sisters and are the daughters of Damien's old business partner Osamu. Rin is the oldest daughter and Nami is her younger sister. I called in a favor and found out they have taken over their father's drug business."
"Osamu Kataoka was Damien's business partner?" questioned Sean.
"Yes."
"I remember his trial from the news. They said he was involved with drug and human trafficking across the country and his connections were far reaching."
"He was a major drug dealer and was a main supplier in the human trafficking days, Mr. Morgan."
"When their father was arrested it destroyed their family. Their mother was so shocked, hurt and embarrassed that he was doing these things, she left with the girls. The girls were so used to the lifestyle, they did not like being taken away and vowed to get back at me for destroying their life and family."
"How do you know this?" asked a stunned Phil.
"Alec is not the only one who knows people and has people that owe them favors. I just don't use them unless it's absolutely necessary. Besides, it's not the first time they have come after me."
"When was the first time Miss Sway?"
"When they found out their father committed suicide in prison."
"E, why didn't you tell me? I told you to let me know if you felt or thought you were in danger. I would have made sure they could not get to you." demanded Phil as he slams his hand down on the arm of the chair.
"We were still in waiting on the verdict from Damien, and you and Alec were with me. Before they could make a move, we moved back here. I felt safe with you and Alec. There was nothing to tell."
"Well, make sure you say something to someone next time."
'There will not be a next time Dr. Roberts" growls North as Kota and Luke nod their heads.
Raising my hands I look around at them all "Listen guys, if they are working with Damien or his new partners, they are going to be a formidable team. They have their father's connections that run deep into the Japanese government, not to mention whatever connections they have made on their own here."
"On top of that, Nami and I do not like each other. I could not stand how she would look and talk down to me when I was with Damien and her father. She did not trust me. They want to see me suffer a worse fate than them and being with Damien. They saw me suffer first hand and would love to see it again."
"You are safe, beautiful, and we will keep you safe."
"Thanks Sean." I say with a smile.
"I will call Axel and let him know this new information. You all go to Savannah. You need a break." states Phil as he gets up. He walks over to me and I stand up. He gives me a hug and a kiss on the forehead. His face is tight and I know he is upset.
"You have a good and safe trip."
"Phil, I love you and I did not mean to hurt you. Please don't be mad?" I say as I place my hand on his arm.
"I love you too E. I am not mad at you. I just wish I had known. Stop worrying about it because I am fine. I am going to go. Call me when you get back," he says as he steps back from the hug.
"Since we had this talk now, does this mean we can have chicken and waffles for breakfast?" asked Silas
We all laughed "Sure Hercules. I will make that for everyone."
"Yes, and can the waffles have chocolate chips?" asked Luke.
"No! I will not be stuck with you in my Jeep hyped up on sugar." bellowed North.
"You can drive your truck down, Puff-Puff, and I will ride with you" states Nathan.
"I ride with you, Sweetheart."
"Gentlemen" yells Owen. "Miss Sway did not say she was driving, so you can't say you are riding with her."
Everyone turns and looks at me to solve the debate. " I am going to take off my outfit and take a bath to unwind from the day. I need to catch up on mu stories on Wattpad and relax.. Make yourselves comfortable. I will let you know if I will drive when i get out. In the meantime, decide who is sleeping with me tonight. Gabe, help yourself to my closet. Just give me 5 minutes to get undressed and head into the bathroom." I announced before i head to my room and Heart follows me down the hall.
