Silas Pov
As we were eating and talking Dr. Roberts and his wife came to our table. It's funny seeing him dressed as Zeus and his wife as Hera.
"So, have you gentlemen seen my daughter yet?" he asked.
'Phil, stop! Don't ruin the surprise." smiled Mrs. Roberts as she looked at us. "May we sit here with you?"
"Of course" stated Doc rising to hold a chair for her. "Have a seat."
"So what do you all think of the reception?" she questioned after taking a bite out of her Lahanodolmades.
"I think Emily did an excellent job getting this set up today. Even without my help." smiled Gabe
"I think you and Emily did an excellent job planning this Gabe. Especially since how her birth mother and Carmen were making all the last minute changes. They can be such a pain in the ass sometimes."
"Annie!" Dr. Roberts shot out, looking at his wife as he picked up his wine glass. I have a feeling he is trying to hid his smile.
"Well tell us how you really fell Annie. Oh, wait, I think you just did." states Sean
We all start laughing and she just rolls her eyes and crosses her arms making a cute humming noise. She looks at us "What? We all know it's true. I am just the only one bold enough to say it. I never really cared for them."
I see something red and the top of a spear with a red sheer material flowing under the point moving our way. I nudge North and tilt my head towards the spear. He turns, spots it and nods letting me know he sees it as well. As it got closer, I see red hair in the shape of a Mohawk that is on top a Greek warrior's helmet. All of a sudden, people part and standing before me is Emily dressed as Athena. She is wearing a long white airy dress with gold and red beading around the waist. The dress has a split on the right side of the dress that shows off gold gladiator sandals that go around her legs and up to her knees. The front of the sandals have gold swiggles across the toes and up the front of her legs. Her hair is straight and curled on the ends and her eyes are gray. Her gold shield is on her right arm facing me with the head of Medusa on it and in her left hand is her spear. I thought she looked like Aphrodite, but I was wrong. She is Athena reincarnate. The table grows quiet as she approaches me so I know I am not the only one speechless. I see the material flow from behind her as she walks up to me.
"How do I look Silas? Did I pull off Athena correctly? I always pictured her this way." She asked nervously, as she looks down at herself. I am speechless. I let my eyes roam from her feet to the top of her head. When she looks back at me with those sexy as hell gray eyes, she looks sad and takes a couple of steps back from me. I immediately felt the loss.
"I didn't do it right did I? Nuts. Ok, well I have another one I can change into. The other one is my interpretation of her warrior outfit. Maybe that one will be alright." She mistakes my silence as my being unhappy or her costume as not correct which is not the case. I got up, walk to stand right in front of her, take her right hand and bring it up to my mouth and gently kiss the back of her hand. Looking in her now smoky gray eyes, I tell her "You look perfect. I thought you were Athena approaching me. I would love to see you in your warrior costume, but that will have to be for my eyes only Goddess. I may be strong, but I wish not to fight tonight to protect you unless it is necessary." Her eyes are shining as she looks up to me smiling and blushing.
"Thank you... I will hold you to that when you stay with me again." she says as she steps back and her eyes wander from my head to my feet. Her eyes stop at my chest and I hear her say under her breath 'Damn, he is cut and solid.' I can't help but stick my chest out a little more as she continues to check me out. She looks back up at my eyes and raised her eyebrow at me saying "Hercules?"
Laughing I say yes and she gives me a hug and squeals. "Come on Athena, my Goddess. Let's see who else you can guess." I take her hand and walk her over to the table.
"Sunshine, you look great as Athena."
"Thanks Gabe."
"Yes, you look gorgeous Miss. Sway." states Mr. B as the rest of my brothers gives her complements
"Damn Baby Girl, we are going to be fighting people off of you all night."
"Good. I could use a break" stated Alec as he flopped down in a seat next to Mrs. Roberts
"What's wrong Alec, you can't handle all the attention our daughter is getting." She laughed.
"Ha, ha, ha. Very funny Hera." he deadpans. "Do you know now many people I had to stare down, or guys I had to cock block this week because of her. I promised her this afternoon I would not let anyone or anything near her until she was able to get to you guys first tonight, so she could see how she did with her costume. She has been a nervous wreck this afternoon and I am just glad you all like it. I am happy I am going out of town tomorrow just for a break."
"Hey. What are you trying to say Alec?"
"Love you sis, but I need a break away from you."
We all laugh at their antics as she says she loves him too.
You look really great sweetheart" says Kota.
"Yes, you are enchanting" states Mr. Blackbourne as everyone continued to give her compliments.
"Who did your costumes, they are great." asked Emily.
Smiling and blushing Gabe shouts: "Oy! I did. I told you I had skills. Can you guess who we are Sunshine?"
"Hm..... Dr. Roberts is Zeus and Mrs. Roberts is Hera."
"Yes we are, but I think he was talking about them." states Dr. Roberts. "Oh, I see the Anderson's are here. Please excuse us. We need to talk to them."
"Sure. Thank you for visiting with us."
"You know I had to see yours and Owen's faces, Sean, when Emily came over. It was priceless."
"Oh, I see where your loyalties lie Dr. Roberts." laughs Doc and Mr. Blackbourne just shook his head and smiled.
"Emily, you have a good evening hun. Don't do anything I would do. On second thought. Do exactly what I would do if I was your age." she says and winks at her.
She laughs and waves goodbye to them as they leave.
"Alright Sugar, Guess who we are."
"Alright Luke. Let see," she says as she taps her right cheek as she looks around the table. "I am going to guess and say Victor is Apollo, Gabe is Perseus since he has a Medusa head next to him. Uhm....Nathan is Poseidon since he has the spear, North could be Odysseus since Silas is Hercules, but I am not sure. I already know Silas is Hercules and Alec is Diomedes. Am I right? Better yet, just tell me who you are."
Going around the table, she points. Mr. Blackboure states he is Theseus, Doc is next saying he is Asclepius, Victor is Apollo, Luke is Hermes, Gabe says he is Perseus, I am Hercules, Alec says he is Diomedes, Nathan says he is Poseidon, Kota is Hector, and North says he is Odysseus."
"Yeah, I am glad I asked. I would not have known all of them. I love Greek mythology. How did you come up with this Gabe" questioned Emily as she turns to Gabe.
"Some were easy, some I had to think about."
"So, how did Gabe and I do, Silas and North? Gabe said you two were the best to ask and I really wanted to run this by you both, but I just did not get a chance. I hope we did you proud."
"Stop doing that girly shit Emily. You know I don't like it. I told you we would knock it out of the box and we did." Gabe said pointing his finger at her.
"I know, but I have to know."
"Goddess, you did a phenomenal job of bringing our heritage into this reception."
"Yeah, Baby girl. With you and Gabe, there was never any doubt. I am just worried you are going to be the focus of tonight."
"Excuse me, Emily. We have a problem at security and they are requesting to speak with you."
Exhaling, she says 'Alright, I will be right there. Thank you'. The woman nods and walks away. Alec grumbles about never gets to sit long as Emily turns to Mr. Blackbourne "Duty calls. In case I don't get a chance to see you all before you leave tonight, we are still meeting at the diner tomorrow at 9am. We all need to discuss some things about Luke's Birthday Celebration." We all saw the look she gave Mr. Blackbourne saying with her eyes she wished she could stay, but she has to go and she needs to talk with us.
"Yes, we will meet you there tomorrow morning. It was great to see you tonight and thank you for coming by to see us tonight. Have a good evening." He is looking at her in the eyes, saying he understands and will not press the issue right now. She nods as her and Alec get up and leave the table.
