Natawa si Bobby. He held Ashley's hand and gently pulled her towards him.

"Halika nga rito," malambing nitong sabi.

Pero agad niyang hinila ang kamay.

"Bakit?" mataray niyang tanong habang nakataas ang isang kilay.

"Hug kita 'tsaka kiss kita," malambing nitong sabi.

Oh, fuck shit.

"You know what, Aldus? Sometimes I would ask God why. Hindi naman masamang magtanong kay God, di ba? Tinatanong ko Siya kung bakit sa dinami-dami ng tao sa mundo, ako yung napiling Niyang pagbigyan ng mga magulang na..."

Ashley sighed. Hindi niya masabing dispalinghado ang mga magulang niya.

"Si Stasha maski ulila sa ina, she has her dad. Miranda has her lolo. Ikaw, buum-buo ang pamilya mo at masaya pa kayo. Me? I have no one," malungkot niyang sabi.

"You have me."

Maang na napatingin si Ashkey kay Bobby.

Humarap ito sa kanya and he fondly caressed her cheek. "You have me, Gracie."

"Hanggang kailan, Aldus?" lakas-loob niyang tanong sa mahinang tinig.

Bobby scanned her face. Then found her eyes. "As long as it takes..."

Oh, God. Those dreamy eyes...

"How long?" she whispered.

"Is forever long enough for you?" He asked, never breaking the eye contact.

She pouted her lips. Gusto niyang maiyak. "Pwede na."

He smiled and so did his dreamy eyes. He fondly pinched her nose using the back of his index and middle finger.

"Then forever, it is..."

Bobby scratched his chin without taking his eyes off Ashley.

"Three-in-one make-believe boyfriend," ulit nito sa dahan-dahang pagbigkas ng syllables. "Let's decrypt the--" He quote-unquote sign. "Three-in-one."

Isang pilyang ngiti ang sumilay sa labi ni Ashley. "Jerk, asshole and pervert."

He chukled making his adam's apple vibrate.

Napangiti si Ashley. Ang lakas talaga ng dating sa kanya ng adam's apple nito.

"And the make-believe?" he enquired while cocking an eyebrow at her.

Nakaramdam siya ng kurot sa puso sa salitang iyon. "From the word itself..."

"Make-believe... Not real...Pretend..." pagbibigay nito ng kahulugan sa salitang 'make-believe'.

She met his gaze. Pero sandali lang dahil natatakot siyang makita nito ang longing sa mga mata niya.

Longing na sana ay maging real na ang make-believe.

He licked his lower lip. "I kinda' like the three-in-one," he said while his dreamy eyes intently looking at her.
