Gabriel wakes up, lying on the couch in the study. He is disoriented, wondering how long he was sleeping for, as he looks at his watch and it’s almost 5:30pm.
Adrien had come out of his room from doing his schoolwork and came over to him, looking sad. ‘Dad... are you okay?’
Adrien looks so worried that Gabriel takes it upon himself to reassure him.
‘It's nothing... I’m just a bit tired! Between the success of the Alias ring, the new fashion line... I haven't had a moment of rest.’

He glances apprehensively at Natalie’s spirit who appeared. She looks at him sternly. Gabriel sighs.
‘I can't do this anymore. I spend way too much time working, and not enough time with you, Adrien....’
He smiles at him, looking determined. ‘But, I'm going to do everything I can to change that.’
Nathalie’s spirit smiles as Adrien opens his eyes in surprise. ‘Really?’ Gabriel smiles. ‘It's my greatest wish.’
Adrien's phone rings. Adrien looks at it. ‘Nino...’
Seeing that his son is about to put his phone in his pocket without answering, Gabriel speaks in a warm voice: ‘You can take your friend's call, Adrien.’
Adrien smiles, and walks away to answer Nino, under the benevolent gaze of Nathalie’s spirit and Gabriel. “Hey Nino!....Yeah, I saw it! It was so awesome!....Yeah, Max is so clever! Such foolproof technology huh? How cool is that?”

No sooner has he left the room than Gabriel gets up, goes down to his lair and sighs.
Sass bravely scolds him. ‘You took a huge risssk. For a disastrousss result. All that your attemptsss have accomplissshed is to accelerate the effect of Cat Noir's cataclysssm!’
Gabriel doesn't blink, and just asks coldly, ‘How much more time do I have?’
‘Probably very little’ Sass replied, just as coldly.
Gabriel sighs. ‘Still, there is a new Cat hero. Alias, any powers recorded on any Alias superseding normal human capabilities?’
Alias Emilie responds: “No powers on any Alias superseding normal human capabilities recorded.”
