The next morning, at 9am, Aeon comes over to the bakery. Sabine shows her to Mari's room. She knocks on the trapdoor and Marinette opens it.

'Aeon! So glad you could make it!' Mari smiled. 'Please, come in!'

Aeon smiled. 'Sure. You have a lovely room Marinette. Very homey feel.'

'Thank you' Mari replied.

'So, what did you need my assistance for?' Aeon replied. 'You said in your text that you needed help with algebra?'

Mari chuckled nervously. 'No, not exactly. That was just a ruse to get you to come alone.'

'Oh, okay then. What's on your mind?' Aeon asked her.

'Well, you know how when we were in New York for Friendship Week?'

'Yes...'

'And you found out my little secret?

'About you being Ladybug? Oh, yes, I remember.'

'Yeah...well I have a little proposal for you. Well, it's more Tikki's idea, but since you can't hear her, I'll have to explain.'

'Yes, go on...'

'See, Tikki had been feeling really bad lately that my dates with Luka have been cut short by akuma attacks.'

Aeon nods. 'Ahh, yes.'

'So, she wanted me to find a temporary holder so I could have a bit of a break and spend more time with Luka.'

Aeon smiles. 'Fair enough. You do make a great couple.'

Mari blushes. 'Thanks... Anyway, we wanted to see if you'd be willing to be the temporary Ladybug.'

Aeon gasps. 'Me? Wow, it would be an honour! Do you really think I can handle it? Given that I can't even see or hear your... Kwami you call it?'

Mari smiled. 'That's right. But I don't think that should matter. As long as you're wearing the earrings and say the activation phrase I give you, it should be a piece of cake.'

'Wow, okay. I hope I can make you proud' Aeon smiled.

'I'm sure you will. Besides, who better to be Ladybug than you, who is already a super hero? Also you can download all the information about Ladybug's past battles and villains from the LadyBlog to your memory banks. That would keep you up to date with everything that has happened up until now.'

'True. I can certainly do that!' Aeon replied.

'Great!' Mari smiled. She takes the earrings off and Tikki disappeared. She gave them to Aeon who put them on and Tikki appeared again.

'Great, I can see Tikki so this should work!' Marinette replied. 'So all you need to do is say, Tikki, spots on to transform and spots off to detransform.'

'Understood' Aeon replied. 'Should I transform as myself or as Uncanny Valley?'

'Up to you' Mari smiled. 'But if you transform as Uncanny you should still have all of your powers plus the Ladybug powers. Just always remember to call out your Lucky Charm and use your yo-yo to purify the Akuma. Then, once you've done that you throw your lucky charm into the air and say "Miraculous" followed by your hero name.'

'Understood. Hmm, I'll have to think of a name.' Aeon replied.

'Oh, and if you can, remember to open your yo-yo and give the akumatised victim a magical charm at the end. As a reminder to keep their emotions in check.'

'A lot to remember, but no problem for an Android' Aeon replied. 'As for my hero name, I've already come up with one. How about Scarabeetle?'

'Sounds perfect for you!' Marinette smiled.
