ILLUSION - PT 2

Meanwhile, Marinette and Luka are preparing for school at their separate residences. Luka calls Marinette on his phone. Marinette answers the phone while eating her breakfast back at their house, alone, while her parents are setting up the bakery for the day.

Luka: "Hey melody, how's it going?"

Marinette: "Just getting ready for another day at school. I just wish I could work out how Monarch is transferring powers without giving his victims a miraculous." She finishes her cereal and puts her bowl and spoon in the sink.

Luka: "I know. I miss being able to be Viperion to help you."

Marinette: "I miss our team of superheroes too!" She finishes packing her bag and sees a note her Dad left: "Don't forget your lunch in the fridge sweetie!" Mari smiles as she opens the fridge and takes out her lunch bag. "Luka, I need to find a way to get back the Miraculous Monarch stole from me!"

Luka walks out of the Liberty deciding to walk to school today. "Hmm, so more often than not, Monarch now entrusts his akumatized villains with Miraculous, right?"

Marinette exits the bakery.

Marinette: "Apparently, yeah, except when Cat Noir and I de-akumatize them, the villains never have the Miraculous on them."

Luka: "Hmm, then he must take the jewels right before you defeat them somehow."

Marinette: "But how does he know when I'm about to do that?"

Luka: "He doesn't need to know. Maybe before handing out each Miraculous, he touches them with the ball of the Miraculous of the Dog, which brings them back in case of defeat."

Marinette: "But then we'd see the ball, I'd have noticed."

Luka: "I'm sure we'll figure it out. If we put our heads together, I'm sure we'll come up with some ideas."

Marinette: "I hope so my prince. Anyway, I'm almost at school. Talk later. Love you!"

Luka: "Love you too angel."

Marinette greets Alya and they head into class.

Inside the Collège Françoise Dupont, in Marinette's class, Anne-Jeanne stands in front of the class.

'I'll remind you there's no afternoon classes today due to parent-teacher conferences regarding post-graduation. Ms Bustier will be coming to address the parents this afternoon also.'

Nino leans over to Adrien. 'No question for me here, I'm gonna be a superhero!' Nino smiles.

'I thought Ladybug couldn't hand out Miraculous anymore' Adrien replied.

Nino grins. 'Who's talking about a Miraculous? That's not the only way you can help Ladybug. Monarch's gonna have to deal with a new enemy, buddy! The Resistance!'

Adrien gasped, surprised. 'There's a resistance starting up?'

'Not yet, but you can be my first recruit if you want to. You'd be Comrade Mayo and I'd be Comrade Ketchup. I already have a plan for our first mission, but I can't spill the beans here' Nino says as he glances around suspiciously.

Later, at lunchtime, Nino, Adrien, Marinette and Alya are headed to the cafeteria.

'Hang on, your old man's OK with you eating in the cafeteria?' Nino asks Adrien.

'And he's coming to your conference?' Alya adds.

'Dude, you sure he hasn't been akumatized again?' Nino chuckles as Adrien just smiles.
