Logan knew all of Patton's faces. The one he did after a pun where he grinned sheepishly. The one he did when he cried where he tried to smile but failed. The one he did when he laughed where he'd grin goofily and fight it. Then there was the one he did now which matched Logan's.
Patton knew all of his. The one he did after working something out where his eyes lit up and he smiled slightly. The one when he didn't know something where he frowned slightly and tried hiding it. The one where he secretly liked a joke, where he'd smile and bite his lip. Then there was the one he did now.
His eyes shone with tears but the smile reached them. The dimples on Patton's cheeks shone in the light with the tears matching Logan's when they spoke. The metal felt cold on their fingers.
