The Noragami day event was done and we, staffs, immediately set the stage for the night stage.
I was busy lining up the microphones and dialogue scripts, since this was my job, as always, when
"(L/N)!" Great! My great seniors at work were here. I looked at them, and the four of them were glaring at me
"Is there anything I can help you?" I asked them innocently, but it was obvious thatbI was faking it
"You are so low that you stick your nose to everyone!" one of my senior said that made me curious
"What do you mean?"
"How come you became Kaji Yuki-kun's assistant?!"
"She seduced the staff director for sure and then asked him so that she can be Kaji Yuki-kun's assistant"
I shook my head and just tried to ignore them and continued my job, but they were just noisy and persistent. Well since they knew that I like Kaji-san, I ended up being his assistant
"Okay, what do you want?!" I asked in defeat and again faced them
"Go and fix the wiring on the right entrance"
"The wiring above"
"That is your job!" I complained but they shouted back
"That job fits to you! So go do it!"
I wanted to say more, but they froze and looked at each other. They cleared their throat "Hurry up and do it" and just left.
"What's with them?" I shook my head and turn around to continue my job, but "K-K-Kamiya-san?! You surprised me!"
"Did I?" he answered and then one by one, he checked the script. He sure surprised me. Wait, eh? Kamiya-san? "Are you going to do what they said?"
I chuckled but it was a dry one "So you heard" I commented "I will, since they will not do that for sure" I answered while putting names on the microphones. It was then I felt pink aura not so far from me. I looked at my left and there I saw, the two Eunice emitting pink aura, and Hana looking at the stage, surely she was looking at Fukuyama-san "By the way, Kamiya-san, aren't you going back to the stage?"
"I will after this"
"Is there a problem?"
"Actually, I noticed some mistakes during the rehearsal days ago, but I forgot where, and it seemed my script was not the script I received today"
"REALLY?!" I panicky answered "Sorry about that"
"No it's okay. It's our missed actually"
What should I do?
Ah! I looked at the two Eunice and asked them to come. And yeah, they hurriedly came
"What is it, (F/N)-nee?" they said in chorus.
"Sorry, can you both help Kamiya-san looked for the right script. I need to finish something"
"Another odd job?" Niccy asked and I nodded "You should tell boss about it"
"No, I'm okay. Help Kamiya-san, and finish it for me, is it okay?" I asked them and well they were excited to do it
I hurriedly went to the right wing entrance and saw the wiring above. Yes, they were right, it needed some fixing. I sighed and went to get a ladder. It was kind of high though.
But never in my life, that there was an instant that I thought that I might lose my life, because of a simple mistake.
After 10 minutes, I finished putting tape on the wire, and about to go down, when my left foot slipped and I lost my balance!
My hands didn't reach the ladder and that instant, I felt my body falling. No sound came out of my mouth, but I knew that my world would just crash! I closed my eyes tightly, not mentally ready for this disaster!
But, I didn't feel the floor. It didn't hurt at all. Instead, I felt like I was caught by someone. This smell...
I opened my eyes and to my surprise Kaji-san was holding me with his both hand. Kaji-san caught me again in right timing!
"Kaji-san!" I called him with my shivering voice and he put me down slowly. I felt like my knees would fall, but Kaji-san held me and supported me on standing
"Sorry, I'll call you back" he was on phone. And after hanging up, he put his phone in his pocket and held my arms "Are you okay? You sure are doing some crazy stunts, aren't you?"
"S-sorry, and thank you for saving me" I answered and it was no use, my knees resigned and I just fall on the floor "that was scary!" surely, I was shaking. I didn't know what should I do!
"What were you doing there?" he asked and he went down to my eye level.
My heart would explode from that scary experience, plus nervousness because of this guy here. He was so near and he was caressing my back
"(F/N)-nee?" we looked up and it was Hana with Inoue-kun "What happened?" she asked worriedly
"Why are you here? You are supposed to do the microphones and scripts, right?" Inoue-kun asked
"Sorry" that was the word that came out of my lips
"Did you receive another odd job from our seniors?" Hana looked around and she seemed noticed the situation
"Well, I'm fine." I answered and stood up
"Are you sure you are okay?" Kaji-san agitatedly asked me
"Yes, I am. Thank you Kaji-san" I smiled at him "By the way, what are you doing here?"
"Well, I'm looking for you. Then Kamiya-san said that you are here. But I didn't know that I would see you from falling"
"Looking for me?"
"FALLING?!" Hana and Inoue-kun asked loudly
"Yes, I told the staff director that it was you who came up of what I should do to enter the event, so now, I suggested that you will be the one thinking of my entrance for night event. So let's go to the stage, since the staff director wanted to talk to you too"
"I see." I commented then widened my eyes "Eh? Me?! No, I can't I'm just a part of the stage team"
"Sorry, can you continue her work here" Kaji-san grabbed my hand
I felt pain on my left foot, but I didn't let Kaji-san know about it
We arrived at the stage and I was so nervous. Since they were in front of me.
"Is she the one you were talking about Kaji-san?" the staff director asked me and he grinned in response "Then let us hear what you think of a best way to entertain our audience"
Well, even they tell me about it, I didn't know what I should answer. It was too sudden.
"(F/N)?" Kaji-san called me and they were all staring at me
"She's nervous" Kamiya-san commented
"Calm down" Imai-san cheered me up and they all told me to calm down
"I'll let you ride on my back later" Kazuhiko-san told me and we all laughed from his suggestion
"Thank you very much" I bowed down "Before that, I am wondering if the night event will have the same format as the day event?"
"Same format?" they asked in chorus
"Well, like introduction, the episodes, live dubbing of episodes, video messages, battle part, and then original drama, then ending?"
"Yeah, supposed to be."
"Is there any particular format you want to change?" Yoshida-san asked me
"None in particular. During the live dubbing, there were some lots of Yukine part, right? Instead of using the voice from the anime, you will use the true voice of Yukine. And if you can all do some adlibs to make his entrance, like that?" I suggested, but my voice fade out
"That's a good idea!" Fukuyama-san was the first one who reacted in what I said
"It was better that just coming out of nowhere" Uchida-san added
"Kaji is acting so important now" Kamiya-san teasingly said that made us all laughed
"Yato!" Kaji-san was dumbfounded and it was then we both looked at each other at the same time "Thank you!" he grinned. I wanted to poke his bubbly cheeks. But just being here, would be fine
Plus, this event was a very wonderful event.
They had a quick run to what would happen, and then they all went back to the guest room to rest.
And the night event started, Kaji-san was standing beside me at the back stage, since I was his assistant. We were both watching the event from the monitor
It was then the live dubbing part came. This guy beside me was kind of excited.
Kaji-san didn't enter at first but just doing the dubbing at the back, but at the middle part, he then went in and their adlibs started.
I didn't know, but when Kaji-san entered and started their adlibs, the whole Tokyo International Forum shouted and they became so excited seeing Kaji-san in Yukine's clothes.
The event went well, but poor Kaji-san being bullied by Kamiya-san and Sawashiro-san, and the others were agreeing and backing them up
After the event, the seiyuu went to the backstage and they were all so satisfied to what happened. As for us, the staffs, especially the stage team, we went to the stage and started cleaning up. I didn't let anyone know about the injury on my left foot. But it was aching, and seriously it hurt a lot!
The cleaning took two hours, and finally we were done.
We were on our way out of the Forum, when I really felt that I couldn't walk anymore. But I tried to smile and told Hana, Nice, and Niccy
"Sorry, wait me here. I forgot something in the staff room" I technically ran back, but no, I sat down at one corner and good thing no one was around.
I put off my shoes and socks, to see my swollen foot.
"What should I do?"
"I knew it, you are hurt"
I hurriedly looked behind me and Kaji-san was standing with serious face
"Kaji-san, what are you doing here?"
"I saw your friends and asked where you go since I forgot to give this. And during the night event, you were somehow acting weird" he answered and went in front of me. He kneeled down and held my left foot that made me jolt
"Wait, Kaji-san!"
"Here" he put the knit cap on my head and then pinched my cheeks with his both hands "Are you an idiot or what?"
When he let go, I touched my cheeks and complained "That hurts Kaji-san" I was about to say more, but my eyes just widened, when I felt his smooth lips on mine. His face was so closed!
When we parted, he looked straight on my eyes. He touched my cheeks and grinned "From now one, rely on me, (F/N)"
Tears ran down on my cheeks. Not because of the swollen foot, and not because of my cheeks that were pinched, but because the dream that I was sure that would never happen, was happening!
He again held my feet and carefully massage it "It is really swollen, it became so red. We need to go see a doctor for this"
"Kaji-san?" I called him in soft voice but he continued
"Actually, I always see you. Everytime I have an event here. You always work so hard, and always smile a lot. Even though you are hurt, or sick, you never let anyone know about it, and you are putting them first before yourself. The time I helped you with those trays, I was happy that I finally had a chance to talk to you." He looked at me and smiled "Do you believe that I do like you for a long time now?"
My tears gradually burst as he smiled to me sweetly. "Kaji-san, I really like you for a long time too. I know I'm just a fan, and I never thought that a mere fan like me will feel this kind of emotion! I like you, Kaji-san!"
He hugged me and stroked my back. He let me cry for a moment, then let go. "Now then, let's go to the doctor"
Kaji-san turned around and it seemed he wanted to piggyback me "No, I can walk, Kaji-san"
He looked at me "Seriously, (F/N)? We're dating now, so come on. Or do you want me to carry you like a princess." I shook my head immediately and he chuckled "You don't need to reject me like that"
My face turned red and I was so embarrassed. We're dating now
My world was jumping up and down! I was so happy that I could die. I hopped to his back in defeat, and he carried me.
"(F/N)-nee!" the three called me and giggled when saw Kaji-san carrying me. I signaled them not to say unnecessary things, but yes, they loved to tease me
"OMG! (F/N)-nee! Finally your long time crush is carrying you!" Niccy started
"It's not just a dream, but real!" Nice continued
"I hope you start dating!" Hana added
"We're dating" Kaji-san answered them with grinning smile that made the three so loud and so excited "By the way, we're going to hospital do you want to come?"
"No, we came here using Hana's car. Plus, we'll talk to the boss for this thing. So, sorry Kaji-san, please take care of our sister" Niccy answered and the three of them bowed down
Kaji-san sent me to hospital, and worst thing, I couldn't work for a month or longer as long as my foot was not fully healed.
I sat down on the passenger seat, and sighed. Worried to what will happen, plus, what should I tell my parents?
"Worried?" Kaji-san asked me as he sat in front of the wheel
"Yes, I need to tell my parents about this." I answered as I stared on my left foot with cast "It's hard to move"
"You shouldn't accept that order" he said as he started to drive
"You knew?"
"I heard from Kamiya-san. By the way, input your address there, and" he then gave me his phone "Put your phone number. I'll call you every day to make sure my girlfriend is okay. I'll stop by time to time after my work, okay?"
My face heated up and again felt my chest hurting, well it wasn't that I hate it, since this was probably because of excitement.
We arrived in my condo, and he helped me went in.
"Thank you, Kaji-san"
"You live alone?"
"Yes, but if my parents hear about this they will surely go here immediately"
"I see" he responded then there was a call on his phone "Yes? Now? But?" He looked at me worriedly
"I'll be fine now, you can go"
He sighed in defeat "I got it, I'm on my way" he hanged up and scratched his head "Well then, I'll call you later. Make sure to rest and drink you medicine. If it is okay to your friends, ask them to go here and bring you some foods. Don't push yourself too hard"
I was surprised that Kaji-san had this side. I chuckled and smiled at him "Thank you Kaji-san, I will remember everything you said. Have a safe trip"
And before he left, he kissed me on the lips then on the forehead "I'll go then, see you later"
It happened so fast that I couldn't react that much. Kaji-san just kissed me. We started going out.
Later that day, Hana, Niccy and Nice came and they were willing to stay on my place until my parents came.
As I rest my body on my bed, my phone rang and it was from Kaji-san
"Did you drink your medicine?"
"I did, thank you for reminding me" I chuckled
"Kaji-san, we'll be starting again in a minute"
"Okay! Sorry, I need to go, go to sleep now"
"You are still working?"
"Yes, for a variety program" he answered then I heard someone shouted 30 seconds "Well then, good night, I love you, (F/N)"
"I still can't believe that this is happening, but I'll adjust. Thank you Kaji-san! Good night! I love you too!"
"Make sure to dream about me! I'll hang up now, go to sleep, okay?" he chuckled and then he hanged up
I wanted to roll back and forth on my bed, but I couldn't so I closed my eyes, and that night, I dreamt of Kaji-san and I, in a place where we promised to be together and forever.
