"Yes and you have beautiful thighs."

The prince blushed and giggled. "Do you have a name, savior?"

"It's Crowley... What's yours?"

"Just call me Aziraphale."

"Aziraphale," Crowley whispered. He smiled. The name felt right on his tongue.

Aziraphale smiled back at him. "You're cute."

"Ngh -Thanks!"

"You're welcome," Aziraphale whispered.

Crowley blushed red. He looked down and said, "You know I think you're cute too."

He twirled a lock of ginger hair around his finger. He bit his lip and look back at Aziraphale.

"Oh?" Aziraphale asked. He leaned in closer to Crowley.

"Yeah," Crowley breathed against Aziraphale's lips. He looked down at his lips.

"Hmm," Aziraphale hummed before kissing Crowley. Their lips seemed to work in harmony. After some time they pulled away from each other.

"Whoa," Crowley gasped. "I've... never been kissed before."

Aziraphale said, "I'm honored to be your first."

Crowley smiled at him. "I'm honored to be in your presence. You're too kind. You're a prince."

Aziraphale sat up and sighed, "I suppose I am."

"Would your people be mad if they knew we kissed?" Crowley asked. He tilted his head.

"Perhaps. They don't have to find out though," Aziraphale whispered. He kissed Crowley again.

"I should be going back though. I'm sure this won't be the last time we meet."

Crowley held out his hands and said, "I'll swim you home."

Aziraphale grabbed his hands and got in the water. He held on tight as Crowley swam through the water. Occasionally they'd go to the surface for air.

Aziraphale was able to make it home safely. Crowley left him on the beach.

"Look, Crowley, I promise I'm going to see you again. I'll come here whenever I can," Aziraphale sighed. He cupped Crowley's cheeks in his hands. "I promise."

Crowley nodded and said, "I'll be waiting. I promise. Be safe."

Aziraphale kissed Crowley's forehead. He then stood up and started to walk back home. Crowley swam away.

Every so often Aziraphale would take walks down on the beach, escorted of course. There couldn't be any chance the prince could accidentally fall in and drown. Not when it almost happened once.

Sometimes he'd see Crowley, waving from behind rocks or swimming along side a boat. He couldn't react though. He couldn't let anyone know.

He needed to speak with his merman though, so sometimes in the middle of the night he'd slip out of the castle and run down to the docks. There he'd find Crowley splashing around in the water.

They'd always leave each other at sunrise.

That didn't happen very often though. Aziraphale was set to be married in the summer. No, he didn't like the girl he was set to marry, and it was merely political. On the other hand Aziraphale was falling in love with Crowley. Something about him was charming and different.

He needed to stay focused on humans though. He decided not to return to the sea. The wedding went on, and Aziraphale hated his new wife. He couldn't do anything about it now.

Crowley never realized Aziraphale wasn't coming back. He swam in circles, and even left his pod, just so he could wait for Aziraphale. Of course he heard people talking of a wedding, but Crowley never thought Aziraphale would marry just anyone. Not when he used to be so devoted. He loved Aziraphale, and he truly believed Aziraphale loved him.

Years went on. Crowley grew to be different. He was solitary, skinny, and lonely. His eyes were sunk in and his skin was burnt from spending so much time on the surface. He still held hope that Aziraphale would come back.

At some point Aziraphale grew sick of his wife. He hated being married to her. While she was a lovely woman, he never felt happy with her, and his heart still ached for Crowley. One night he got out of bed, put on a white button up shirt and creme pants. He then left the castle, and ran to the sea. He stared down at the water, contemplating calling out for Crowley, or jumping in.

He made his choice.

Crowley heard the splash of water. He looked at the bubbles underneath the surface. He swam to them. His eyes met Aziraphale's. He pulled him to the surface.

"Aziraphale..."

Aziraphale held onto Crowley. "Why are you still here?"

"I've been waiting for you! You came back!"

Aziraphale didn't say anything. He just took a few deep breaths and laid his head on Crowley's shoulder.

"Is something wrong?" Crowley asked.

"I don't want to go back. I hate it. I want to be with you." Tears were rolling down Aziraphale's cheeks. "Let me be with you. I'll do anything. And if I can't be with you I don't want to live."

Crowley said, "I want you to be here with me too, Aziraphale. I just don't know if you can. You're a human. You belong on land."

"I wish I could be like you."

"Are you sure?"

"Mmhm. I'd do anything."

"I know someone who can do the job."

Late that night Aziraphale and Crowley were in an underwater sea cave. It was similar to Crowley's, but a little bit bigger and full of witchy things.

"Aziraphale, meet Anathema. She's a sea witch... Anathema meet Aziraphale. He's a prince."

Anathema nodded at him. "Huh. A prince."

"I'd give it up if I could. I want to be like Crowley. Just take my legs away. Give me a fin."

Anathema went to work. She shook up a potion and gave it to Aziraphale to drink. "This will give you a fin, but you have until sunrise to find your mate and then it will be locked in. Kiss her... or him -spells don't discriminate -and you'll be set forever."

Aziraphale chugged the potion. It tasted awful, but his legs immediately changed into a fin. He could feel his lungs change.

"Whoa," he gasped.

Crowley grabbed his hand and shouted, "Thanks witch girl!" before swimming off with Aziraphale. The two of them went back to Crowley's cave.

"Are you completely sure about this?" Crowley asked.

Aziraphale nodded and said, "I'm sure. I want to be here with you forever."

Crowley smashed his lips against Aziraphale's. The both of them sensed that something did happen.

By sunrise everyone on land realized their prince was gone, and Crowley had realized his prince was going to stay.
