Valentine's day is in two days,
and all the girls have been all over
the place. All the boys are equally nervous, but not you.

It's probably silly of me,
but for a second I thought you were going to invite me.

It's okay.
You probably want to go with
some other girl, I understand,
I really do.

When we were in the common,
me and the girls were planing
on doing something, because none
of us had dates.

I knew you were in the other
side of the room with the boys but I didn't want to look at you.
If I did I would probably turned red of embarrassment.

I didn't look in that direction
until I heard loud laughs and comments. So I turned.

The three of you were surrounding
poor Remus, who look like he
wanted to escape and run away.

James had his arm around him,
saying something in whispers,
but Remus kept shaking his head,
saying no.

It made me curious, of course.
But I did not went up to you and ask.

I returned to my conversation
with the girls until I heard loud
cheering again. And for the second time, I looked up, only this time, Remus
was standing up, looking around.
The three of you were doing the same, but without saying anything.

Then, Remus' gaze fell on me,
and he looked relieved. I frowned
when all of your eyes fell on me.

Remus began to walk up to me,
James and Peter opened their
mouths in surprise and you furrowed your eyebrow.

❝Oi, hang on!❞
I heard you say.

But I couldn't look at you,
Remus' was covering any direction
my eyes could find.

❝Hey Sam❞
he said to me once he approached us, smiling lightly at me.

❝Hey Rem❞
I answered back,
I smiled too to greet him.

He opened his mouth to say
something, but didn't. It wasn't
until his third attempt that he finally sighed tiredly.

❝would you like to spend
Valentine's Day with me?❞
He asked, clearly nervous.
Before I could say anything,
he talked again.
❝if you don't want to, it's okay,
I get it, you know what, you don't
have to—❞

❝Remus!❞
I said, interrupting him before
he could continue to babble.

He looked at me kinda embarrassed
and gulped, but I smiled at him.
He didn't had to be nervous, it's
not like I was going to yell at him or something.

❝yes, I'll spend with you
Valentine's Day❞
I smiled, and he sighed, relieved.

He even came to give me a hug,
happy that he didn't had to ask any other girl and pass through an uncomfortable moment.

I catch up to what was
happening pretty quick.
I know you three were trying to make Remus invite someone,
and he saw me as an option.
It was unexpected, but at least Remus knew I would understand.

I'm not mad or anything,
but I'm a little disappointed that you didn't even ask me.

You didn't have to, but it would have been nice to spend Valentine's Day
with you, wouldn't it?
