𝓓𝓮𝓪𝓻 𝓢𝓲𝓻𝓲𝓾𝓼,

This has been the
best birthday ever.

From the moment I woke up,
I was greeted with hugs, smiles
and gifts.

Marlene and Lily sang to me
when I woke up and gave me one
of the tightest hugs ever. Mar gave
me a beautiful bracelet that change
color depending on my mood.

And Lily gave me a book filled
with pictures of me with everyone I love, each page had a sweet note and drawings.

I cried. I was so happy
I can't even find the words to
describe it. I was happy not because they gave me a gift, but because
they thought of me and remembered.
I cried because I had such amazing people in my life, how could I not?

When I went to the common room,
most people I passed said
happy birthday to me. I swear
my cheeks still hurt from smiling so much. I felt special.

When I went to the great hall,
I was about to sit and get
breakfast but someone came from behind and hugged me, literally screaming happy birthday to me.
I think you can guess who was it.

come on, James, let her breath
I recognized Remus'
voice and smiled.

James stopped hugging me
and he looked at Remus,
almost offended.

I just want to wish my fifth favorite person a happy birthday, she can stop breathing for a couple of seconds, Moony, don't worry
He then turn to me and smiled
happy birthday, Sam
He pulled a wrapped box behind
him and gave it to me.

I opened my mouth in surprise.
I was really not expecting something from anyone else, except my family.

I looked at Remus for assurance
and he smiled, making James rolled his eyes when he answered
it won't explode in your face,
I checked

I laughed and pulled James
into a hug, thanking him.

my turn
Remus said and gave me gift.
happy birthday, Samantha

I grinned and pulled him into
a hug as well.

Peter was also there, and he gave me another gift, I thank him too.

You were not there, however.
I didn't see you until later.

My parents and Jason send me their gifts as well. They gave me a beautiful
dress and Jason gave me two journals,
if you write in one, the message will appear in the other.
It's a form of communication,
and it's one of the best gift I have ever received.

If you're curious,
Peter gave me a box of chocolates. Remus gave me a muggle book that he told me about some time ago which
I really liked. And James gave
me cds form various artists he was always telling me about and a frame
with various funny photos of us.

Even Juliet, Rose Marie and Orpheus gave me something!
Juliet gave me a friendship bracelet, Rose Marie gave me a book about magical creatures and Orpheus gave me some lovely earrings and a scarf.

I made my way to the common room and almost fell when someone was coming out of the painting—you.

You held my arm, preventing me from falling and chuckled. I smile, I little embarrassed, but entered the room.
It was almost empty, aside from us and some first years.

I left all the gifts in the seat next to me and sat down, exhausted.

I see you got quite a few presents
you said and I nodded
I hope you don't mind adding one to the pile

You pulled out a small black box from you pocket and extended to me with a sweet smile on your face.

happy birthday, love
You said and I took the box
from you, debating if I should open it right there.

I finally did and my breath
got caught in my throat.

In the box,
there was a silver necklace
with a small purple rose as its pendent.

I just kept staring at it,
not knowing what to say.

You had remembered, still.
And I realized that it had become a tradition.

The first time was when
we met in third year. I didn't tell you it was my birthday and you got a
little offended, but still, you asked me what my favorite flower was and my favorite color. You turned
around and whispered something.
When you faced me again, a purple rose was in front of me.

In fourth year, you gave a bouquet
of purple roses that didn't lost their scent for a long time. When it was time to replaced them, the next day,
all of them but one was left untouched. It's still in my room at home.

In fifth year, you gave me a box
of chocolates in form of roses and a book.

But this year it was special.
I love it. I really do.

I stood up from my seat and
hugged you, tightly. As if you could
slip through my fingers and I could
wake up from a wonderful dream.

thank you, Sirius, I love it
I said trying not to cry.

When the hug ended, you smiled
at me, tilting your head.
are you about to cry? Please don't tell me a picked the wrong one
Your hands were still in my waist,
and I had my hands in your shoulders.
I was screaming internally, I'm sorry.

I shook my head, smiling.
I love it

We hugged one last time,
staying like that for a little longer.

In that moment, I had everything
I ever needed. All the bad stuff
was nonexistent, and everything
felt right.

Still, while I write this looking at
the stars, the feeling of happiness is there, holding onto dear life.

Goodbye Sirius, I'll see you tomorrow.
