Luke X Famous!Reader

Start from the beginning

He looked behind him, glaring at the several camera men and women that started finding their way behind the stage.

"(Y/n). Wait." He grabbed your hand as you had started walking off. "I want to be there next time you write a song. You never let me...but I want to know how you do it."

You gazed Luke with wide eyes, before smirking, "I won't let you watch me next time." His shoulders fell in disappointment. "Because next time I write a song, you'll be writing one with me."

Luke's eyes widened like saucers, "Wait, what?"

You grasped his shoulder, tugging him swiftly to you as you placed a kiss on his cheek, before running off.

"Meet at my apartment tomorrow at ten!"

Luke stood frozen in shook, before a loud, "There she is!" Was screamed, and he heard loud steps.

"She went that way..." Luke said, pointing weakly towards the opposite direction, still in shock. The crowd ran off in the way he pointed, and he sighed, "Write a song? About what? Me being incredibly and utterly in love with you?"

You sat cross-crossed a piano bench, pulled close to the piano as you scribbled notes and words onto a page, your tongue sticking out of the side of your mouth in concentration.

"So...do I...sit down next to you?" Luke rung his hands, eyeing the small bench.

"Hmm? Oh, yeah, here." You removed your crossed legs and scooted over, still reading over your music sheet. Luke sat next to you, your bodies touching, making his cheeks light up. "This is going to be a duet."

Luke laughed, "I mean, we can make it a solo. That'll be easier-"

"No, because for my concert next week, you'll be singing it with me-"

"-I know I'm not the brightest out there but I feel like this is some simile or something because...you're making no sense." Luke turned to you, ignoring his blushing cheeks.

"...Luke, a personification is when-"

"-is it a metaphor?" He continued, "Because me singing is-"

"Shut up."

"Okay." Luke gave up, sighing at you as he finally leaned into the piano, eyeing the note sheet.

"Okay, let's run through what we have." You smiled, tucking he pencil over your ear. Luke nodded, sitting crisscross on the bench. You placed your fingers on the piano keys, playing the beginning of the song.

"I feel so different" You softly sang, "From the way I used to be. I used to be stronger. But now, I feel so weak. I used to have power...over so many things...but now. But now I'm weak." Your fingers danced across the keys. Luke watched your hands with a smile as you continued your part of the song, before it fell when he realized it was his turn to sing.

Luke began to stutter, "(Y/n), I can't-"

"You can." You told him assuringly, "I know you can."

He nodded before he began, "You thought I didn't notice? The way you would look at me. You felt overpowered. By the feelings you couldn't see. You thought if you would hide it, you wouldn't need to feel the pain. But you soon realized, that hiding wouldn't save the day..."

You pressed down on the keys hard, making a powerful sound echo around the room. You smiled as you both began to sing together.

"I soon began to realize...The feeling that I had was only there when I wasn't with you. I knew that there was only one solution. I needed to be with you. I needed to see you." You sang higher, harmonizing as you repeated 'you'.

You locked eyes with Luke, grinning as he looked down at you.

"I like this song." He said, and you moved your hands from the piano, ceasing the music.

"Why?"

"Because it's real."

You tilted your head, still smiling at him.

"How?"

"Because I how it feels to hurt whenever you're not with someone." Luke looked down in thought, "To love someone so much it hurt to not be around them. To not touch or see them..."

You frowned, "Love hurts."

His hand moved to brush a few strands of your hair behind your ear, resting there. "It doesn't have to..." Luke whispered, before slowly inching so his mouth was to yours. You instantly arched into him, your hand grasping his shoulder, the latter holding his stray hand.

When you both pulled away, you gasped for air, smiling. Luke chuckled, his eyes never leaving your face.

"I like this song a lot."
