You adjusted the microphone over your head and smiled, "Are you ready, everyone?" The crowd roared as bold spot lights set themselves over you. You chuckled, pulling the guitar over your shoulder so it rested against your stomach, "I'll take that as a 'yes'."

With that, you curled your fingers around the pick and drew a large strum. The audience in front of you screamed as the chord echoed around the park. You played three more, and soon the drummer started a beat. You let out a holler as many of the other members started adding their part to the song.

You grinned before, you started to sing.

"Most people think it's easy. To stay with someone forever. They think it'll last forever. But it won't last forever."

You played a fast riff with the strings before drawing your hand swiftly down the neck of the instrument, a loud but beautiful squeal emerging from the guitar.

"They think that people, won't find or love something new. They think that people, will stick to one another just like glue." You walked around the front of the stage, eyeing the crowd. "But trust me I know from experience...relationships don't last." The stage went silent, before the drums started once more. "But I know! That I don't need! Anyone to help me fulfill! What I want! What I need in life! Because I'm okay on my own! So don't you try to be that guy, who can treat me how he wants!" You bent over the stage and winked at your surrounding fans, glancing at them all before locking eyes with your best friend. Your smile brightened as Luke watched you in awe. You smirked at him before stepping back, continuing the song with out flaws. "Because I know...it won't last."

After continuing your concert, you finally ended the last song with singing a long and painful note and a strum.

The crowd erupted in cheers and you couldn't help but blush as everyone hooted and called out at your amazing performance.

Luke gained your attention with a loud whistle, giving you a thumbs up before gesturing to behind the stage. You nodded, thanking everyone for coming and giving a small speech before flipping your guitar to your back and walking off.

Luke was already behind the curtain, "Gosh, you're incredible." He whispered, and you laughed.

"You say that every time I perform."

"Because you are!"

You rolled your eyes, but smirked, "I know."

He punched your arm, chucking, "How do you even come up with those songs?"

You shrugged, "I mean, I do a few covers, but the ones I create...I don't know. I won't say experience because I'm only seventeen, I don't have much of that. But...I mean...it's what I feel, you know?" You grinned, your hand moving behind you to brush against your guitar. Her/his name was (R/n).

(I'm not the only one that names my instruments right?😂)

"What you feel?" Luke scrunched his face, "So from your first song...you're basically saying love isn't real."

You clicked your tongue on the roof of your mouth, "You don't even want to start to know my feelings. It's super complicated. I'm an extra person."

Luke huffed, rolling his eyes playfully, "Please, (Y/n). I'm your best friend." He grinned, "I know you're extra and complicated." You gasped, smacking him as you broke into a smile. "It's true!"

"You're face is true." You stuck your tongue out, and he scoffed in fake hurt at your come back. You scrubbed your face, before your eyes fell behind him. "Shoot I got to go."
