Sitting on the couch with your arms folded, you looked over at the clock for the hundredth time. You'd finally relaxed after putting your daughter to sleep and all you wanted to do was sleep, but you knew you couldn't until Justin was home.
Hearing the fumble of keys outside and the slow unlocking of the door, you prepared yourself.
You heard the kicking off of shoes and the stumbling against the walls of the house before you saw Justin swaying into the living room.
You saw him stumble backwards as he saw you sat on the couch. "B-Baby." He stuttered, his jacket half way off his shoulder as he slumped next to you.
"Wanna tell me where you've been for the past six hours?" You didn't look at him, but you held a stern tone.
"I, I was just hanging w-with some people, I h-had fun." He hiccuped midway through his sentence.
"You missed our anniversary dinner." You stated simply, turning to look at him.
"Oh." He looked down, fumbling with his fingers. "But, I was j-just having fun with some fr-friends, lay off me." He mumbled, making your blood boil.
You'd spent the day before being excited about your day with Justin, you thought it would all go perfectly. Instead, you spent the day being excited, and the night being alone and disappointed.
"No, Justin. I will not 'lay off you', I've spent all night waiting for you, just to have you not even bother to show up!" You felt the anger being released from you as you stood up.
"Stop being so up my ass, [Y/N]." Justin growled as he stood up too.
"Are you kidding me?" You let out a sarcastic laugh at his attitude.
"Does it look like it? I come home, wanting to spend time with my loving girlfriend, and this is what I get?!" He began to shout, his drunken state turning vicious.
"You're unbelievable!" You scoffed, walking around the back of the couch.
"Me?! You're the one giving me crap for nothing." He spat, you witnessed his face become red and his fists ball up with anger.
"You forgot our fucking anniversary! You really think that's nothing?!" You shouted at him, tears brimming in your eyes. "You know what Justin, I'm done right now. Talk to me when you've got your shit sorted out." You hissed as you prepared to leave.
"You're not fucking leaving me. You're mine." He spat before grabbing the nearest thing, which happened to be the lamp from the table and threw it at the wall in anger, making your whole body freeze after flinching.
Hearing a sob, your eyes darted to the stairs, seeing your daughter stood hopelessly as she watched the sight before her.
"Baby." You breathed out and ran towards her, taking her in your arms. "Shh, it's okay." You whispered in her ear as Justin watched with a worried look on his face.
"Mommy, what's h-happening? What's wrong with daddy?" Your daughter whimpered in your arms.
"B-Babygirl-" Justin stuttered as he tried to fix what he'd done.
"I'm gonna head over to my parents, I'll be back tomorrow." You muttered before grabbing your car keys and heading outside, not daring to look behind you.
The Next Day
Opening the door to your house, you sighed as you prepared yourself once again. Shutting it, you saw Justin come out of the kitchen.
"[Y/N]." He muttered as he walked over to you. "I am so, so sorry." He sent a more than sympathetic look.
"Do you have any idea how much it hurt to spend all night just waiting for you to show up, only to find out you'd ditched me to get drunk and God knows what else?!" You shook your head at him.
"I know, I know I hurt you. But I'll make it up to you, we'll celebrate tonight." He pleaded while you folded your arms.
"You're a grown ass man with a six year old daughter, Justin. You can't make this a regular thing." You spat at him, letting out excess anger from the night before.
"I don't plan on it, honestly. I was stupid and I know it was wrong. I'm sorry for the things I said, you know it didn't mean any of it. I love you." Before you knew it, he was holding your wait.
You sighed deeply. "I love you too. If this happens again, I will personally castrate you." You mumbled, making him chuckle lightly. "Now, you've got one more little girl to apologise to.
