Summary: Perrie and Jade are together but haven't told anyone yet. Debbie walks in on a naked Perrie who claims it is because she has nothing to wear. But her mother isn't fooled that easily.

Perrie's eyes fluttered closed as she lay with Jade's arms wrapped around her tightly, her girlfriend's warm body pressed against her own. Jade softly glided her fingers along Perrie's bare arm as she watched her falling asleep. It was a bliss, but their happy bubble was bursted quickly by a loud voice from downstairs.

"Perrie! I'm home!" Debbie called as she walked through the front door. "Honey, where are you?"

Perrie's eyes snapped open as she jerked awake, panic filling her.

"Oh my god! Oh my god! My Mom is home, shit!" Perrie practically jumped from the bed, leaving the warmth of Jade's arms. "Oh my god! Jade! You have to hide!!" Perrie panicked. Jade, who was still laying in the bed gave her an 'Are you serious?' look.

"Where do you want me to hide, Perrie? Under the bed or in the closet?" Jade asked sarcastically, raising her eyebrow.

"Perrie?" They heard Debbie call again as she began walking up the stairs leading to Perrie's bedroom.

"Babe, please she's coming! There's plenty of room!" Perrie pleaded, opening her closet and gesturing at it wildly.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Jade looked at her as if she was crazy.

"Please, Jade. I'll make it up to you later," Perrie pulled at Jade's arm, dragging her from the bed. She tossed a shirt at Jade as she hurriedly pushed her into her closet.

"Fine, but I'll hold you to that promise," Jade sighed as she was roughly shoved into the closet by her girlfriend.

"Perrie, are you in there?" Debbie asked almost outside Perrie's door. Perrie mouthed 'sorry' as she closed the doors on Jade.

"Uhh, yeah. Mom, wait a sec!" Perrie called back to Debbie, but before she could do anything else her mother opened the door.

"Oh my god, Mom! I told you to wait!" Perrie shouted, grabbing the sheet from her bed and holding it in front of her bade body.

"Perrie, why are you naked?" Debbie asked with a perplexed expression.

"I... uhh..." Perrie stuttered, trying to think of a reasonable explanation that didn't involve the brunette currently half-naked in her closet. "I have nothing to wear!" Perrie exclaimed, not very convincingly. As soon as she said it, she knew it was a terrible explanation. She could have just said she was getting changed. Debbie quirked an eyebrow at her daughter, looking less than convinced.

"How is it that you have nothing to wear?" Debbie asked skeptically. "Didn't you and Leigh-Anne just go shopping last week?" she questioned.

"Uhh, yeah, we did... But they are all dirty!" Perrie couldn't stop her eyes flicking nervously to her closet as she held her sheet around her tighter. Debbie noticed her nervous gaze and moved closer to the closet.

"Are you sure? You can't have gone through all your clothes already Perrie, you only did laundry two days ago."

"Yeah, weird, isn't it," Perrie choked out, beginning to sweat nervously.

"I'm sure you have something, honey. You just need to have a better look," Debbie reached out and opened the left door of Perrie's closet. Perrie stood frozen in sheer horror, unable to do anything except pray that the floor would open up and swallow her whole.

Jade heard Debbie coming closer and shuffled as best she could to the right side of the closet, behind some of Perrie's shirts and a few pairs of jeans. She held her breath and squeezed her eyes tightly shut as if it would help her stay out of sight. This was definitely not the way she had imagined her girlfriend's mother to find out about their relationship.

"One shirt, two shirts," Debbie said giving her daughter an incredulous look as she counted the shirts in Perrie's closet. As Debbie slid the second shirt to the side, Jade came into view. The brunette looked mortified. "Hello, Jade. Three shirts." Debbie continued not looking at all surprised, as she continued to count casually.

Perrie's blue eyes widened not believing what was actually happening.

"I don't know what you are talking about Perrie, you have plenty to wear." Debbie turned to Perrie, smirking.

"Mom, I... I can explain," Perrie stuttered, really having no idea how she was going to explain. Debbie turned her attention away from her blushing daughter to Jade who was still standing awkwardly among Perrie's clothing.

"Come out of the closet, Jade," Debbie coaxed her out.

"Literally," Jade muttered, blushing furiously as she stepped out of Perrie's closet. Debbie tossed a shirt and pair of jeans in Perrie's direction.

"I am disappointed in you, Perrie" Debbie scolded. "I thought I taught you better than this." She frowned, crossing her arms as she looked between Perrie and Jade.

Perrie's mouth gaped in shock. Her mother had met Jade a few times, but she hadn't told her she was dating Jade yet – not because she thought her mother wouldn't approve, she just wasn't ready to share the news yet. Before she could defend herself, Debbie spoke again.

"You don't go shoving nice girls like Jade into closets, Perrie! Really, it isn't polite. Your girlfriend deserves to be treated better! I thought you would know that." Debbie shook her head disapprovingly.

Um, what?" Perrie blinked in confusion. Jade let out a stifled laugh at the blonde's expression. "You're not mad at me because I'm dating a girl, you're mad at me because I hid her in my closet?" Perrie asked utterly confused. Debbie just nodded as she made her way out of Perrie's room.

"I expect to see you two properly dressed and down for dinner in an hour," Debbie informed as she left.

"Did that just happen?" Perrie asked incredulously. Jade finally burst out laughing and wrapped her arms around her girlfriend.

"At least you don't have to worry about how to tell her later. Who would've thought all it took was for one of us to step out of the closet?"

Perrie shook her head and let out a laugh. "You're such a dork."

"Maybe, but I'm your dork, right?" Jade grinned cheekily.

Perrie rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile and pull her girlfriend into a kiss. "Yes. Mine."
