"So, (y/n), it seems since we've been together, you've never talked about yours." Your boyfriend of five months, Leonard McCoy said. You and him were laying down, watching a movie.
You smiled a little, and looked at him. "Okay. Well, I was married, I have a son named Jonathan, but he lives with his father. I lost just about everything in the divorce, so I decided to join Starfleet, figured why not. And now I'm here, with you." You said, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Huh, that's strange."
"What?"
"Well, that's kinda the same reason I'm here. I have a daughter named Joanna. She lives with her mother. It's almost like our lives are the same, but... Different..." He said, making you laugh.
"Yeah sure, and I'm the girl version of you. Go to sleep." You said, hitting him with your elbow. He laughed and began cuddling you.
Slowly you both fell asleep. But the thought never left his mind. You were both pretty much exactly the same, just not the same gender.
It was actually kind of cool, but you didn't believe anyone who pointed it out to you.
