You walked to your room, too deep in thought to really notice stuff. You were pregnant, and your ex was the father. He abandoned you when you told him about the mission you were going on.
What made it worse was the fact you were currently in a relationship. He was kind, and sweet, and the accent he had always made your heart melt. But how would he react when you told him?
You and Scotty had only been dating for about three weeks, you hadn't really even kissed him yet.
You opened your door and sat on your bed. You weren't showing quite yet, but you knew it was only a matter of time before you couldn't even see your feet.
You took out your PADD, and decided to send him a message. It would save the embarrassment of telling him in person, and seeing his disappointment.
'Dear Scotty,
You have been amazing, and so kind to me. But I don't think this relationship can work, not anymore.
I'm pregnant. You're not the father, don't worry. It's my ex. I know, I'm not what you want to be with.
I'm sorry.

You pressed send, and laid down. Being pregnant could be exhausting. Before you knew it, you were fast asleep.

Scotty was sitting at his desk, wondering what to do for your next date, when he received the email. His face fell, then grew excited. You were pregnant, he felt so happy.
He honestly loved you. More than he had any other woman, even though your only been dating for a few weeks. Scotty found it really funny that you thought he didn't like anymore.
If anything, that explained so much. Your mood swings, the weird food at lunch, and why you threw up at your fifth date.
He stood up, and walked to the lift, then he pressed the button for your floor. He needed to see you.

You woke up to someone banging on your door. You grumbled and sat up. Opening the door, you saw Scotty, the biggest smile on his face.
"Is it true?" He asked, grabbing your hands. "Is it really?"
You looked down, feeling a little ashamed. "Yeah."
"That's wonderful! Yer gonna be a mommy!" He exploded, pacing. "Why would ya think I wouldn't want to be with ya?"
"I don't know." You mumbled, still looking down. Scotty walked up to you, and hugged you. You gasped, shocked. Why was he hugging you?
"(Y/n), I love you. More than anything. And I know, I'm going to love this baby as my own." He put his hand on your stomach, and you smiled.
"I love you too." You whispered, resting your head on his shoulder. You could do this. With Scotty, you felt you could do anything.
Besides, how hard could a baby be?
