This one was requested by spock_is_in_asgard, I hope you like it!

You and doctor McCoy walked into the rec. room. Confused as to why you were called down on your day off.

You looked around, and found Kirk, Spock,Uhura,Sulu, and Scotty all sitting at a table. The two of you walked over, and sat with them.

"Okay Jim, whats this about?" You asked, annoyed. 'He better not be planning another dance...' Ypi thought, watching his expression.

"Actually it was I who called you down here." Spock said, and you looked at him, even more confused.

"So, why are we here?" Uhura asked, tapping her fingers against the table.

"I called you here today, because a special Vulcan celebration is coming up. I'm afraid I am unable to make it to New Vulcan in time. "

"I'm sorry to hear that." You said, knowing about his culture. Holidays didn't come very often.

"So I decided to teach you all my native language, so that we could celebrate it together." Spock finished, putting his arms behind his back, like he always does.

"That sounds cool." Kirk said, resting his head on his hands, his elbows propped up on the table. "When do we start?"

"Now, but I must warn you. The Vulcan language is very difficult."

"It shouldn't be that hard. I think I took a semester of it at the academy." Uhura muttered, tapping her fingers harder on the table.

"We will begin with a simple saying." He started, pointing to a screen where a PowerPoint started. Where did that come from?

Text came up, and you looked closer. "Th'i -oxalra? What's that mean?"

"Very impressive (y/n), that means 'thank you'." You smiled to your self, while you watched Sulu and Scotty trying to pronounce it. Meanwhile Bones just sat next to you, looking grumpy.

The screen changed to a new slide, with a new sentence. "Ni' droi'ik ner ter?"

"Close. Ni' droi'ik nar tor. That is how you apologize."

"No droid narrator?" Kirk asked, squinting at the screen. You shook your head. Spock just said it.

"No, Jim. Ni' droi'ik nar tor." Spock corrected. A ghost of a smile on his lips. "It would seem as though (y/n) is the only one correctly pronunciating the words."

"It's not our fault this is hard." Sulu complained, moving his hair out of his eyes.

"No, it is not. But I'm afraid that since (y/n) is the only one who knows how to say 'thank you' in Vulcan, she will be the only to receive these." He held up about seven pieces of Vulcan candy, wrapped in silver wrappers.

"Yes! Th'i -oxalra!" You said, grabbing the candy. Vulcan candy was the best. Better than almost all earthen sweets. The others grumbled in protest.

"Oh come on! That's not fair!" Jim exclaimed.

"Do want a piece?" You asked, holding up one. He nodded his head vigorously. "I'll give you a piece, if you let me be the captain for a day."

"No way. That's worth one piece of candy."

"How about three?"

He looked as though he was having an internal battle. "Deal!" He yelled, reaching for the candy.

"Wait, before I give this to you, you have to swear I can have the chair."

"Yeah, yeah whatever." You gave him the candy, and waited as he unwrapped the silver wrappers.

His face scrunched in confusion. "Hey! These are empty! You tricked me!"

"So what if I did?"

"That's not fair! This deal is off."

"Actually it isn't." Spock interrupted. "You promised no matter what. She gets to be captain for a day."

Kirk mumbled something, then walked out. You smiled, and the others congratulated you. This prank worked wonderfully!
