Y/N Pov.

Clementine: We thought AJ would be the one... finally.

Javier: The one what?

Y/n: The one who didn't die.

Clementine starts to tear up so I quickly go over to her. I wrap my arms around her and she places her head on my chest which is what she'd usually do when she was upset. Javi looks shocked and he hugs.

Javier: I can't believe David would be so... heartless.

Clementine: Our little goofball...

After a moment he lets go and soon I let go of Clem. We look at Javier, who unlike his brother, is actually a good person.

Clementine: He and Molly were the only family we had left. But maybe... Maybe it's better they're gone. They don't have to live in this fucked up world anymore.

Y/n: No, Clem. It's not.

I look up at the sky and every single time I see the moon, I think of Molly and AJ. What Molly would do in these types of situations or how AJ would always be the one who made us push pass them. In a way, he was our metaphorical strength, but none of that matters now. What happened is done, no way to change it. So our group continues on down the road with none talking for the most part.

Soon we reach our destination which is the warehouse David supposedly wanted us to go to. Unfortunately, It is swarmed by a plethora of walkers. As if our day couldn't go from fucked to even more fucked.

Javier: This is what David circled on the map.

Tripp: Our smelly friends are back...

Y/n: (Sigh) Nothing's ever easy, is it?

We all run through the herd, attacking walkers. We quickly reach the warehouse, and Javi closes the chain link fence before the walkers reach us. However a lot of them are starting to crash into the gates, trying to get at us.

Javier: If too many of them push against this, it might give. Gotta find a way in.

Y/n: You do that. We'll handle this.

Javier runs off to deal with the problem of getting into the building while the rest of us keep back the dead. Tripp and the others press against the fence as walkers try pushing pass into it. Multiple jam their arms through the small holes in the fence, but I shoot the ones ahead of me down with shots to the head. Clementine does the same, but soon even a few start to try and climb the fence. As they do, Jesus comes running up and chops one in the head with an axe but isn't finished as he kicks one off the fence.

Y/n: How's the Garage door coming, Javi?

Javier: I can raise it a little, but... something's wrong with it. Jammed or some shit.

Clementine: Maybe we can force it open.

Javier: We're gonna have to.

Javier keeps working on the door while we keep back more and more walkers. Almost like a tidal wave they sweep across the land and force themselves against the fence with some getting their bodies trampled as they fall on the ground. I look over at Tripp and a lot are against the gate he's pressing against to keep it up, then I look at Jesus who's facing the same problem. Clementine's quick to run to me and she points out a spot near the back.

Clementine: They're starting to pile up over here. Come on!

I follow her and find the herd almost bending this side of the fence down, so acting quickly I launch a lot of my "Firefly lights" at them from my hands.

I send them rocketing into the walkers and burning a bunch of holes through them like swiss cheese. They all fall over on top of one another and then we both hear Javier call out to us.

Javier: That's it, it won't go any higher! Everyone get in!

Clementine and I slide under the door just as the fence collapses; I look under the garage door and see Jesus kill a few more walkers before sliding under the door with us. Conrad also joins the rest of inside and I step back after I hear Tripp call to Javier.

Tripp: Javi, go!

Javier slides under the door and I stand back with Clementine. Soon Tripp slides under too, but the jack is still under the garage door which means walkers can climb under. However, before a single one can, I kick it out and the garage door slams down on the ground keeping out the rest of the walkers.

Y/n: Christ...

Tripp: Damn, man. That was too close.

Conrad: You can say that again.

I grab Clem's hand and look over her to make sure she doesn't have any scratches.

Y/n: Are you okay?

Clementine: As good as I can be.

Y/n: Good.

Suddenly, there's a lot of gunshots coming from outside and we hear a familiar voice.

David: Hey! I'm here!

Javier: David!

The moment I hear his voice, I feel a rage start to build up inside of me and unlike before I can actually do something about it. Javier goes to let in David, but Clementine pulls out her gun & aims at the door.

Clementine: Don't you dare let that fucking baby-killer in!

She fires at him, but she misses on purpose.

Y/n: Yeah, let him join the undead walkers outside.

She fires another shot at Javier's feet.

Clementine: Don't make me do this.

Tripp: Clem...

Y/n: Stay back, Tripp. I'll light your tongue on fire.

Clementine keeps her eyes on Javier while I keep mine on the others.

Clementine: Don't do it, Javi.

David: Hey! Open up!

Javier: He'll die.

I look back at Javier and point at the door.

Y/n: That fucker deserves it for what he did. So he can get torn apart for all I care.

Javier: He has a son and a family. Just like you both did.

Y/n: Yeah, well his is here and ours isn't. Why does he get to get off scot free?

Suddenly, while I'm talking to Javier, Jesus runs up from behind me and disarms Clementine.

Clementine: The fuck?!

I turn around and find him holding her arm while grabbing the gun.

Jesus: Open it.

Y/n: You asshole, let go of her!

I run over and punch paul in the face.

However, as I do, he releases Clem's arm and blocks my punch but the force is still enough to make him fall backward. At the same time, Javier opens the door and I hear David run inside. But I don't care about that right now. Jesus jumps back up and I see him shaking the hand he used to block my punch.

Jesus: Damn Kid, you can really throw a punch. If I hadn't blocked it you might have actually knocked me out.

Y/n: Don't ever lay your hands on my girlfriend again. I don't care that you only grabbed her arm and I don't care if you are my friend or if you're named after the guy I give praise to, I'll ignite the fluid in your eyes.

I walk back over to Clementine and David looks at us.

David: Hello again, Clementine, Y/n. How did you get caught up in all this?

Clementine: Ask your brother.

She and I walk away, but we're close enough to hear them talk. I look at Clem and rest my head on top of hers.

David: They're trouble. Trust me.

I look at him.

Y/n: (Scoff) That's funny coming from you. Still to this day, you're just as high and mighty acting as you've always been.

Javi looks at David.

Javier: They're with me. I owe them my life.

Tripp goes over to him.

Tripp: They told us some pretty rancid stuff about you, man.

David: What did they say?

Javier: That you left them to die.

David: No. We kicked them out.

Javier: Two little kids all alone out there? Do you think that Mariana could have survived that?

David: Y/n's not just a little kid, if you seen the things I saw him do you'd be more than accepting of my choice. We had rules. They broke them. I would've done the same to anybody. They knew what would happen. Don't feel sorry for them.

I let go of them and start walking towards David with my hand as my body engulfs itself in fire. Everybody takes a step back as the heat coming off of me is immense and even the tags off of boxes start to fall off.

Y/n: You've got some fucking nerve, David. We did what we had to do to in order to protect our family. If you were actually around yours for sometime or even tried finding them, then maybe you'd have some inkling of understanding.

I want to walk further, maybe give David a big bear hug while still lit up so I can hear him scream while the flesh burns on his body. Unfortunately, Clem stops me by calling out my name and she makes a pretty good point.

Clementine: Calm down, Y/n. I want him dead just as much as you, but now's not the time...

I look back at her and her teeth are almost gritting themselves. I see her fists are clenched and I know she wants me to but she's trying to be calm for Javier. I sigh and release the flames from my body. I look at David.

Y/n: I don't know how on earth a man as good as Javier and a girl as sweet as your daughter could be from the same bloodline. I see where Gabe gets his anger issues though.

Javier looks at David.

Javier: All this time, you're still an asshole.

David: And you're still naive. Protecting family is not the same as protecting an entire community.

Before I can say anything, I look down and feel my hand clenching so hard my nails are almost driving themselves into my hand. Though Clem walks up and grabs it, interlocking our fingers before asking David a question. One that I'd been wanting to know about ever since we'd been forced out by the same people who used us as soldiers while trying to call it a "community".

Clementine: Did they suffer? Please. We have to know.

David: No. I wouldn't have let them. But I didn't have to worry about that. They lived, kids. They both did.

We look at David, almost unbelieving.

Javier: But how? He was dying and Molly was too sick to even move. They said so.

David: AJ bounced back. He was stronger than we thought. It was... a miracle. As for Molly, she was just too stubborn to die. I remember walking in on her practically strangling a doctor after she'd woken up.

Clementine: You're lying.

Javier: I don't know, Clem. I don't think he'd lie about this.

Y/n: You don't know this guy like we do. He might be your brother, but blood is only so thick.

David: Please, I'm telling the truth. I swear.

We step closer to David.

Clementine: Where? Where are AJ and Molly now?

David: I don't know for sure.

Y/n: How the fuck do you not know? Are they still in Richmond? Molly wouldn't have left without him.

David: Doctor Lingard took care of the boy until Molly woke up. He'll know how to find them. After Molly woke up and Ava told her what happened I don't think I've ever seen someone as angry as she was at that moment. She was dead set on finding you both.

Clementine: Then we're going back.

David: None of us are going anywhere until the walkers clear.

Again, Clem and I walk away but are still close enough to hear them talking. While they do, I look at Clementine but she practically jumps on me with tears in her eyes after hearing the news. She looks up at me as I hug her back, keeping my hands on her waist.

Clementine: They're alive. They really are....

Y/n: Looks like it. I knew that kid was stronger than he looked, just like Molly.

Clem and I share a small kiss and I wipe the tears from her eyes.

Y/n: Let's go find our family. I don't care if we have to uproot heaven and hell, we're getting them back.

Clementine: (Sniffles) Yeah. Let's do it.

She and I walk back over to the group and sit on a couple of boxes while we hear the plan that David has supposedly come up with. Clementine is sitting on my lap & I have my arms around her so she doesn't fall.

Javier: What's your plan, David?

David: We used to store a vehicle up this way. Provisions. I came to get you set up.

Javier: And?

David: And say goodbye. I don't want you to worry about Kate and Gabe. I'll take care of my family from now on. They'll be safe with me.

I look at Javier and shake my head.

Y/n: Of course. This is the shit he pulls.

Javier looks at David and yells at him.

Javier: Not happening, David. They're my family as much as yours.

David: Is that what you think? Last I checked, Kate was my wife and Gabe was my son!

Javier: And last I checked I've been looking out for them ever since you drove away and never came back! I've been there for them every step of the way, can you say the same David? Hm?

David: You've got some nerve-

Walkers suddenly slam against the door and it swings open getting all of our attention.

Y/n: Shit...

Jesus: Board it up!

I start shooting at any approaching walker from my angle with some fire bullets until Jesus drop-kicks the rest of the walkers back outside. He & Tripp hold the door closed while the dead bash it trying to knock the door open again.

Tripp: We need something to buffer! Something heavy!

Javier: There! Help me!

Javi and David move a shipping container to block the door while Clem and I hop up from our seat. Well, I hop off the box and she hops off of me. We walk over to the others but we hear an angrily surprised Tripp say something while he looks at the container.

Tripp: Wait a half-second, where'd you find this?

Javier: Over there.

Tripp: Show me.

We follow Javier as he turns on his flashlight and shines it on the containers, which say "PROPERTY OF PRESCOTT AIRFIELD ". These aren't just containers, but containers with numerous amounts of stolen shit from Prescott.

Y/n: Well looky here.

David: What the hell is all this?

I notice Jesus picks up one of two radios that were lying around here all willy nilly.

Jesus: These could come in handy. Don't want to just take them, but...

Tripp: I might be going crazy, but I think these came from Prescott.

I notice that Game Phantom Punch from the bar back in Prescott just lying against a wall and I poke Tripp's arm, pointing it out to him who looks at it with a shocked expression covering his face.

Tripp: That's Phantom Punch!

David: I don't understand how all this got here.

Tripp: Like you don't know.

Y/n: (Chuckles) Looks like Mister High and Mighty is going downhill fast. And here I thought Clem and I were the miscreants but here you are looting from other places after they get raided by the same men who work for you.

David: Hey, none of this stuff was here before. I don't have a damn thing to do with it! We've only ever kept a few basic supplies here, for scouts. For emergencies.

Y/n: Yeah, this looks like a few "Basic supplies" to me.

I roll my eyes, but Javier is more willing to give his brother the benefit of the doubt.

Javier: Whoever did this, they have to be stopped!

David: Damn right they do. As soon as we find out who.

I go over to Clementine and find her looking inside a box for something when all of a sudden I see her groan and hold her stomach. Concerned, I look at her and place my hand on her arm. She looks back at me.

Y/n: Are you ok-

Clementine: I'm fine. Don't worry about me. It's...just a little stomach pain.

Y/n: (Sigh) Don't do that, Clem. I remember we promised to tell eachother everything. This is a part of that.

Clementine looks away and I see a light pink form on her cheeks, almost like she's embarrassed to tell me what's going on.

Clementine: I... I've been bleeding recently.

Y/n: Bleeding? Are you hurt? Where is it happening? I don't see any wounds.

Clementine: It's... It's just something that happens to women every month. I don't know much else, but Christa, Carley, and Molly had it too. It hurts.

Y/n: Oh. Well, maybe we should ask one of them for advice. They could-

I turn around, but Clem grabs my hand and stops me.

Clementine: No. We don't have time for this right now. We'll deal with later.

Y/n: But are you going to be okay until then?

Clementine: I'll be fine.

Y/n: Hm... Okay. You promise?

Clementine: I promise.

I give her a kiss on the forehead and turn back to the others.

Jesus: Who else knew about this place?

Tripp: Your outfit is the only one that gutted my town.

Jesus: This is bigger than just Prescott. There's spoils from other towns here, too. Towns I heard got raided a while back. There's stuff here from the Kingdom.

Nobody says anything else as we all hear a voice in the building with us. A familiar one. But then more start to speak and we realize we're not alone in this place.

Badger: Look how many there are already. Goddamn herd's nearly on us. Hurry the fuck up!

Man 2: You hurry up!

Max: Wouldn't be in this mess if you hadn't gone all trigger-happy on David's family.

David: Take cover!

Everyone hides, but we listen to these assholes speak. I don't know one of them, but I've heard Badger and Max speak before. I think I used to terrorize Badger when I was with David's unit just for fun because he'd always be a creep towards Molly who in turn broke his nose once. Afterward no one fucked with her.

Y/n: (Mind) Ah, memories.

Badger: Fuck 'em. I'd do that little bitch again, just to see her head pop.

Max: You sure as hell are stupid, ain't you?

Man 2: You only just realizing that now?

Max: I told you. Joan is on the warpath. Last thing we need is people get wind of all this stuff.

Badger: Look at all this shit. We're fricking rolling in it.

Max: I'll give you that.

Man 2: Just glad we found some more smokes. That shit is the new gold.

I look at the others and nod toward the trio of assholes bragging about killing that girl. I mouth to them that we should sneak up and they agree. Slowly, our group comes out of hiding and we sneak up on Max, the second guy, and Badger. Javier pulls out his baseball bat & yells at them.

Javier: And now we get to see your head pop, you piece of shit!

David punches Badger, and he falls to the floor, dropping his gun.

Max: David?!

David: I thought better of you, Max. I really did. You too, Lonnie.

Lonnie is the second guy, apparently.

Max: David. Come on, man! We're a unit. There's no need for-

Max draws his gun at fires at the group, and the others dive to avoid being shot while I just stand there with my arms crossed as Max runs away while shooting toward our direction. David fires at Max and Lonnie as they run away; Tripp and Conrad take cover. I look around for everyone of the assholes, and find Badger trying to run off so I point him out to Javier.

Y/n: Javi!

Javier starts chasing after him and everyone goes after one of the guys. I see Jesus chasing after Lonnie, so I decide to join him along with Clementine. We run out of the door chasing after him, but he slips into the woods. Clem and I want to chase after him, but Jesus stops us, telling us to go back.

Jesus: I'll keep after this guy, go back to help the rest of them!

We nod and start running back to the warehouse and as we get back I see Javier's head go through the pane of glass up top.

Y/n: Shit.

Clementine: Should we go help him?

Y/n: Probably.

Clementine and I make our way up to Javier only to find him standing over Badge who has a shotgun wound to his stomach. Tripp & Conrad soon follow up after us and we all look at the guy.

Javier: You're the worst kind of filth, Badger. This is how it had to end.

Badger: Bring it, then... See if I...see if I give a shit.

I look at Badger and laugh.

Y/n: Look at you, you dumb bastard. Seems like your nose is a little crooked from where Molly punched you in the face all that time ago. And now you're bleeding out against a wall like an animal. Ironic, Badger.

Conrad looks at the guy but Tripp talks to him.

Tripp: Easy, Conrad. He's already down.

Conrad kicks Badger.

Conrad: Remember my woman? Francine? You! You snuffed her out like she was nothing.

Badger: She was... nothing.

Tripp: He's finished. Get it over with.

Badger: Come on... What are you waiting for?

Tripp: We've got to move. No point drawing it out.

I look at Javier.

Y/n: You've got your lick in, let Conrad finish the job.

Javier: (Nods) Conrad...

Badger: What? Ain't got the guts to kill another man?

Conrad stands in front of Badger and pulls out his gun.

Conrad: No. You're not a man. You're nothing.

Conrad shoots Badger in the head. Our little group hears a gunshot and we run out of the room to find David fighting Max. David disarms him and he falls to the floor. Max is put on his knees as David looks at Javier.

David: He's all yours.

Max: Stop! Please!

David: Raiding?! Looting?! You betrayed who we are! You betrayed Richmond!

Max: C'mon, David! This is Richmond!

David: What's that supposed to mean?

He pulls out his gun.

David: What's that supposed to mean?!

Max: I ain't got nothing to say!

Javier sighs and I look at David.

Y/n: Say David, why don't you grab Max's hand and make sure it can't move.

David kicks Max to the floor and stomps on his arm so it can't move. I take out my baseball bat and press it against his hand.

Y/n: Here's the deal, Max. You've got information that we want and if you don't give it to us, I'm going to take my baseball bat here and break every single limb or attachment you got until you do. Starting with this hand. You've got until I count to one from three to give it up.

I start counting while raising up my bat.

Y/n: Three...

I increase the grip on my bat.

Y/n: Two.

I raise my baseball bat above my head.

Y/n: One-

I got to swing but Max calls out.

Max: Wait! Please, wait... I'll tell you everything...

I stop mid swing and step back, looking at David who releases Max and lets him lay back up on his knees.

Javier: Everything about what?!

Y/n: Speak or bye bye fingers one through ten.

Max: C'mon, man! It wasn't like we were doing this by ourselves. Joan was in on it! We did it on her orders! She... she said we needed it to survive! I wanted to let you in, but she told me you'd never go for it! I'm... I'm sorry.

David: It is too late for sorry, you backstabbing shitbag!

Max: Please, don't kill me! I'll help you! I'll tell everyone in Richmond about this! I'll help you get back inside! Expose her to the others!

I look at Javier and he nods.

Javier: Maybe he'll be useful.

Max: Thank you! Thank you!

David hits Max with his gun, knocking him out.

David: I needed that.

Our group leaves the warehouse as it is swarmed by walkers. We reunite with Jesus who comes running up to us before stopping.

David: Where's Lonnie?

Jesus: He gave me the slip. High-tailed it back towards Richmond.

David: Son of a bitch. If he warns Joan...

Jesus looks past us, asking about the other one.

Jesus: Wasn't there one more?

Y/n: There was. But not anymore. He's suffering in the place all pieces of shit go. New Jersey. Ah, I, uh, mean Hell. Pretty similar though.

David: He won't be hurting anyone else.

Jesus: My people need to know about what we found here.

Javier: What about your missing friends?

Jesus: I'm not holding out much hope. Don't have time to keep looking. They'd want me to get home and warn them. So that's what I'm gonna do. Sooner the better.

Javier: You're a good guy, Jesus. That's rare.

Jesus: I could say the same about you. I won't forget about you. You have my word.

Tripp: It's a shitstorm out there, man. I don't see how you're gonna make it.

Jesus: One step at a time.

Jesus walks away.

David: We need to get back to Richmond fast. I have loved ones in there...

Javier: We both do.

Clementine and I hold hands.

Clementine/(Y/n): We all do.

Tripp: I gotta break Eleanor out of there. Once she's safe, I-I'm gonna tell her how I feel. You said it yourself: if it ain't messy, it wouldn't be important, right?

Y/n: Well I've already got my girl by my side, so it only makes sense you'd want yours too. I say you go for it.

Tripp: Yeah, I think I will.

David turns to Javier and I hear him speak about his plan. Which isn't exactly a real plan, but good enough I suppose.

David: We're gonna need allies in Richmond. Lingard and Clint, they're out best bet. If I can get to them before Joan does, maybe we have a chance. I know I was ready to say goodbye before, but I can't do this without you. Can I count on you? I won't be able to pull this off myself.

Javier: Of course, David. You're my brother. I never forgot that, even if you did.

David: I'm glad to hear that, Javi. You and I, we should talk, when this is done. If Lonnie raises the alarm, they'll be waiting for us at the gates. There's a way in round back that'll get us around any sentries. We can take Badger's truck.

Javier: I doubt he'll mind.

David: C'mon, we gotta get on the move.

David gets in the front seat and starts the truck.

The herd is closing in so everyone gets in the back of the truck and David drives away. Clementine is sitting in my lap again, laying up against me as per usual and I can tell she's extraordinarily tired but still pushing on. It's rare when either of us get any actual sleep, however... I think that is going to come to an end. Soon, we'll be able sleep again for real.
