3rd Pov.
With the night running on and the moon high in the sky, most of the group is asleep or just resting. However, Y/n is sitting at the edge of the deck where it had broken off and he's not speaking whatsoever. Just looking at the part of the deck where Sarah is buried under. He's beside his guitar that's laid to his right.
Y/n: (Mind) I'm sorry, Sarah. I hope you're with Carlos, Nick, and Pete. God knows you deserve rest.
As he sits there, just looking out at the field in front of him. He looks over at his guitar and picks it up, laying it on his lap as the breeze of the coming winter goes through his hair. Y/n takes off his hat and places it to his left while untold to him, Molly is watching him while laying her back against the wall. Clem, who had been asleep, also began to wake as Y/n begins to strum his old guitar.
Y/n: ♪We'll meet again♪ Don't know where, don't know when ♪But I know ♪We'll meet again ♪Some sunny day♪
The music is soft and almost like a lullaby for the newborn baby boy who had been fussing a little unknown to Y/n. As soon as the newborn heard it, the baby slowly started to calm down causing Rebecca to smile. She turns her head to face Y/n's direction and of course, he continues to play.
Y/n: ♪Keep smilin' through♪ Just like you always do♪ 'Til the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away♪
Clementine raises her head up and hears Y/n playing. With a yawn, she stands up and walks past Kenny and Carley who are also listening. They couldn't sleep anyway. Clem walks up to Y/n and takes a seat beside him, on his right, laying her head on his shoulder but not speaking to him as he keeps singing.
Y/n: ♪And will you please say hello to the folks that I know? Tell 'em that I won't be long♪ And they'll be happy to know that as you saw me go I was singing this song♪ We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, But I know we'll meet again some sunny day♪
Y/n lays his head on Clem's and continues to play his guitar, letting the strumming go for a minute. Playing his guitar has always helped him get his head on straight after tragic stuff.
Y/n: Yeah we'll meet again, I don't know where and I don't know when... But I do know that we'll meet again some sunny day. ♪So Honey keep on smilin' through, just like you always do♪ 'Til the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away♪
So many people are dead within the last two days... Y/n is unsure about how things will turn out in the coming days, but even after suffering a loss like this, he's sure they'll be fine. So with more lyrics to sing, he finishes off the song. Singing the Johnny Cash version of We'll Meet Again, as he prefers it to the original.

He finishes singing his song and places his guitar down after picking up his hat. Clementine looks at her boyfriend and places her hand on top of his as Molly continues to watch them. Molly's happy to see them together, glad that they have each other to depend on if no one else.
Clementine: You alright?
Y/n: As "alright" as anyone can be these days, I guess. How about you?
Clementine: I'm alright, too, I think.
She moves her head from his shoulder and Y/n looks at her. Without much thought, Clem places her hand on his back & it makes him jolt a little as it lands on the part where he'd been branded.
Y/n: (Whisper) Shit!
Clementine quickly moves her hand away.
Clementine: (Whisper) I'm sorry! I didn't mean-
Y/n stops her, placing his hand on her leg.
Y/n: I-It's okay. Just hurts still. I guess a day isn't long enough for me to heal, huh?
Clementine: No, it's not.
Suddenly the two hear a sound and look behind them to see Molly. She's holding something in her hand and she sits down in between the two. They both look at her & Molly places her arms around their necks.
Molly: How are you two doing? Holding up okay?
Clementine and Y/n nod.
Molly: Good.
She places both her hands back in her lap after moving her arms back to their resting positions. Molly looks at his back and wonders about the branding, which of course, he notices without a second look.
Y/n: (Sigh) Before you say anything, I'm alright.
Molly: Says the guy who nearly threw himself off the deck when Clem touched your back. Remember what you said to the baby? I think you need to take your own advice and start looking at it.
Y/n crosses his arms.
Y/n: What a pain. If it causes me any trouble, I'll look at it, but until-
Molly: Don't be stubborn. Let Clem take a look at it. Here.
Molly turns to Clem and hands her what she'd been holding. It was two tube of different things. The first was antibacterial cream to keep the brand clean so it doesn't get infected and the next was a tube of Emollient cream which will help with easing the tightening of the skin when it is beginning to close.
Clementine: Thanks, Molly. I'll make sure he actually looks after the brand.
Molly: (Smiles) Good. I can always count on you to look after his stubborn ass. Now if you'll both excuse me, I'm going to sleep so I don't want to die in the morning. It's getting chilly, but luckily I've already got my hoodie.
Clementine: Goodnight, Molly.
Y/n: Goodnight, Molly.
Molly: Goodnight, guys.
Molly hops up and goes back to her spot on against the wall; meanwhile Clementine gives Y/n a look. One that says "We're doing this whether you like or not" and of course Y/n doesn't want to.
Clementine: You already know what I'm going to say.
Y/n turns his head.
Y/n: Do I have to?
Clementine: Yep. Don't be a baby, we've already got one to look after now.
Y/n groans.
Y/n: Fine.
Scooting back onto the deck so his legs aren't dangling anymore, Y/n takes off his hat and his tank top. While most would be cold, especially around this time of year, the breeze and chilly wind didn't bother him too much. Clem stands up and goes behind him to look at the branding which obviously still looked fresh.
Y/n: How's it look?
Clementine: Like it hurt.
Y/n: Yeah, well, it wasn't exactly fun. I can say that much.
There's a pause as Clem takes off the cap of the tube of antibacterial cream.
Clementine: I'm glad Carver and Madison are dead.
Y/n: (Chuckles) Kenny and you saw to that.
Clementine: Well using your bat helped. Especially after you set it on fire.
Y/n: Nothing like sending people on a one way trip to hell via a flaming baseball bat.
Clementine gets up real quick and grabs some water from one of the water jugs, pouring it into a water bottle she'd found earlier within the small shop where Rebecca had given birth. She pours some inside with the help of Carley and comes back over. She pours some of the water onto her hands to make sure they're clean before drying them off. Then, taking some antibacterial cream, she rubs it on her hands and applies it to his back.
Y/n: (Mind) Ow!
Clementine rubs it all over his branding scar and then takes some of the Emollient Cream for the sides of the branding mark. After a minute, Clem is finally done and washes off her hands with a little water as Y/n puts his tank top and hat back on. As he turns to face Clem, she smiles at him. Though Y/n sees the bruise on her right cheek from Madison smacking her that one time and he places his hand on it.
Y/n: Does this still hurt?
Clem shakes her head.
Clementine: No. I'm more worried about your brand than my bruise. I'm just glad you're okay.
Y/n: (Grins) Y'know, Clem, you're always good for a smile.
Y/n places his head against Clem's and of course, she smiles. They might be kids, but they've lived through some of the worst shit people could imagine and yet, they always manage to get through it in one piece. As long as the two have one another they'll be fine, but it's always nice to have other friends in their lives as well.
