3rd Pov.
Troy: Hey! That ain't your concern. Get that stuff over to them boys. Just follow them cables.
Y/n and Clementine walk as walkers pound on the outside of the fence. Clem and Y/n enter one of the buildings, a clothing store. They drop their buckets and runs over when she sees Kenny slam Mike against the wall as Molly is sighing.
Kenny: I ain't nobody's laborer. Fuck that! Let 'em do this shit themselves if it's so goddamn important.
Mike: Get your fucking hands off me, man.
Molly: These fucking morons...
Molly spots the kids after a moment and walks over to them. She looks at Y/n and gives him a hug as she's happy to see him after last night. Y/n hugs her back and after a second she stops.
Molly: Holy shit, I'm glad to see you're alright. I didn't get a chance to talk to you earlier, but it seems like you're fine.
Y/n: Yeah, I'm okay.
Clementine looks past the two as Kenny and Mike are still fighting with Kenny being the aggressor.
Kenny: You ain't gonna force me to do this bullshit.
Mike: I said get your hands off me!
Kenny: Or what? You gonna go tell on me?
Mike: I'm trying to help you, asshole.
Molly sighs and Clem looks at her.
Clementine: What's going on?
Molly: These idiots have been going back and forth ever since we were put here. It's a pain in the ass to get anything done.
Kenny keeps pushing Mike against the wall, he looks back at her.
Kenny: Well excuse me for not wanting to be some got-damn slave for these assholes.
Mike: Get off me!
Kenny turns back to Mike.
Kenny: I bet you're one of them, aren't you?
Before things could escalate further, Clementine gets them to stop by yelling at them. Telling them about what had happened to Reggie only moments before as Y/n stands beside her and Molly holds a hammer.
Clementine: Reggie's dead! Carver killed him!
Kenny and Mike stop fighting and look toward Clem.
Kenny: What?
Mike: You sure? Well, did you-
Suddenly, out of nowhere, walkers manage to break through the window of the store after somehow managing to work their way past the fence. The sudden event startles everyone, causing them all to stare in surprise for just a brief moment.
Mike: Shit!
Kenny lets go of Mike and they both back away as Clementine and Y/n fall back next to Molly.
Kenny: Fuck! Grab something!
Walkers start to pour into the store one after the other, the tight space not allowing for Y/n to let off full plumes of flame so he starts to quick fire flaming bullets from his hands like in a western. Quickly taking down two walkers, more start to go towards the others, but some also take notice of him, too.
Y/n: Shit.
Y/n gets separated from Clem and Molly as he leads walkers away. In the meantime, Molly takes her hammer and slams it down onto one of the walkers skulls before kicking into a small group of them. Mike shoves one into another, pushing the both down while Kenny finishes both with a stomp. More walkers start going towards Clem and she picks up a plank, using it to bash the one coming after her until she's backed into a corner.
Clementine: (Mind) Shit, shit, shit!
She dodges the walker and moves through the gap behind a shelf and the wall as the walker follows her. The spiked edge of the shelf blocks her escape; she pushes it backwards and runs out, and the spike impales the walker's head. More walkers approach her as she starts to back away. Away from her and the others, Y/n has a small group of five walkers toward him towards another section of the store. Two on his left, two on his right, and one straight down the middle.
Y/n: Alright, shit, lets see what I can do with this.
Looking around at the narrow hallway and the advancing walkers, he notices that there is decent room enough for him to move, but not much. With the walkers advancing on him a singular thought comes to mind on how to take them all out in one fell swoop without him causing a shit ton of damage.
Y/n: (Mind) The walkers are moving forward a little too quickly and I'm in kind of a tight spot to accurately shoot all of them in the head before they reach me. Though, If I'm quick enough, I'll be able to get this next move off without a hitch. I gotta make it back to Clem and the others.
The approaching walkers, each a varying size, all shamble toward Y/n in a surprisingly quick manner. More walkers start to come into the same hallway Y/n is and the other walkers are in, probably due to them hearing the noise from the other walkers. It's just gone from five to ten.
Y/n: Shit, I better do this now and stop thinking about it.
Without another thought, Y/n gets into a sprinting position and dashes toward the walkers before getting low to the floor. He quickly tosses his hat to the side before getting in between all of the walkers and spinning on top of his head while letting out concentrated blasts of flames out of his feet.
All of the walkers are blasted back as the upper halves of their torsos are set on fire and practically scorched along with the walls behind them. The walls luckily don't catch fire, however the scorch marks are pretty obvious. When all of the walkers are laying on the ground, scorched, Y/n stands back up properly and picks up his hat.
Y/n: Well that certainly could've gone better, but it could've gone worse, too. No time to dwell on it, let's get back to Clem.
He places his hat back on his head and runs back to the main part of the store where the others have dealt with most of the walkers except for a few stragglers. Y/n looks at Molly and gets her attention.
Y/n: Molly, where's Clem?
Molly smacks one of the straggling walkers in the head with her hammer before looking back at him.
Molly: Towards the back left of the store I think!
Y/n nods and runs towards Clem's direction as Molly finishes off her walker. As he makes it to the back he notices a line of three walkers going into a room & figures it must be where Clementine's at. He sees the one in front fall down and starts to assume the worst so he quickly dispatches the two remaining walkers.
Y/n: Come here, you assholes.
He grabs them both by the backs of their shirts, pulling them back to the ground and shooting them in the head then so they wouldn't fall on Clem after and land on her. After he kills the two he notices Clem trying to push the walker, which she killed with a screwdriver, off of her. He goes over to her and throws it off of her. She looks up and notices who it is.
Clementine: Holy shit!
Y/n helps her to her feet and she immediately hugs him before resting her head on his chest. He rests his hand on her lower back before giving a light kiss to the top of her head.
Y/n: Jeez, I'm glad you're okay.
Clementine looks up at him.
Clementine: Yeah, it, uh, wasn't easy, but I managed.
Y/n: Sorry about not being there, I was kind of preoccupied with some of them myself.
Clementine: It's alright. I think you lead a good portion of them toward you. Talk about lucky for the others, huh?
Y/n chuckles and rubs her back a little to calm her down some more until they hear the voice of Madison come from behind them.
Madison: Well looky here.
The two stop and turn around to find her standing behind them, resting her back against the nearby wall. Troy is in the back yelling at the others as she rests.
Madison: I heard all the commotion and decided to see what was up. I'm glad to see it was taken care of by you guys. It makes my job a lot easier. Though I do have something to say.
Clementine crosses her arms and Y/n looks at her.
Clementine: Please enlighten us.
Madison chuckles and walks over to her, and without saying anything she smacked Clem across the mouth like Carlos did to Sarah. She did it with enough force to send her to the ground, much to the surprise and shock of both Clementine and Y/n. The smack was loud enough to be heard by the others and Troy calls out to Madison as Y/n quickly kneels down to the floor to help Clem.
Troy: What the hell was that?
Madison calls back to him.
Madison: Nothing. Just sorting things out.
Troy goes back to yelling at the others as Y/n is kneeling beside Clementine while she holds her face and a bruise forms on her right cheek.
Y/n: Shit, Clem are you okay?
Clementine glares up at Madison as she huffs, but no tears fall out of her eyes.
Clementine: I'm okay.
Y/n turns to glare at Madison and unintentionally sets the plank nearby them on fire with his mind. This doesn't stop Madison as she walks over to them & stands over them with her hands to her side.
Madison: I want you two to realize one thing. You're my property now. I own you and I can do whatever I want to you. I might not be able to hurt one of you physically, but I don't have to. I just need to make one of you hurt so it fucks with the other one. Can you guess who I'm talking about?
Neither of them speak, but this doesn't stop Madison. She kneels down and grabs Y/n by his face, holding it. She looks at the both of them and speaks low enough for just the two of them to hear.
Madison: The next time you burn me, I'll make your girlfriend watch as I take something from you. And it won't be an item.
She lets him go and stands back up.
Madison: Now get the fuck back to Bonnie. The both of you.
The two stand up, both not speaking. Clementine is clenching her fists so hard her nails are digging into her hand and causing a few drops of blood to leak out. Whereas Y/n is just quiet. They start walking towards the door when the others approach them. Kenny and Molly go to them.
Kenny: Oh, thank god, you're both-
Molly stops him as she sees the bruise on Clem's face and looks over to Madison where she sees her lightly waving at her.
Molly: What did Madison do to you two?
Kenny finally notices the bruise.
Kenny: What the fuck-
Before anything else can be said, Troy steps in.
Troy: Alright, enough mushy shit. You two get back inside right fucking now. I'm sure they got shit for you two to do in there. Now! Think I'm fucking around? Now I gotta sit down here and babysit you assholes. Can't do a simple fucking patch job without me here cracking the whip?
Clementine and Y/n leave the store and start walking back to the store in silence before Clem pauses her steps. Y/n looks at her and in a fit of sudden anger she turns to the wall and starts punching it with all her force as Y/n looks on in shock.
Y/n: Clem, stop!
She doesn't listen and punches the wall another time before Y/n finally grabs her fist. He turns her to him and she starts crying as she puts her head on his chest. He holds her hands as some knuckles start bleeding. Their voices are starting raise, but they are still low enough to only be heard by each other.
Y/n: Clem, calm down. It's okay.
Clementine steps back.
Clementine: It's not okay! Didn't you hear what she said she'd do to you?!
Y/n: Clem, don't worry about that. You're the one she hit.
Clementine: I don't care that she smacked me! That's not I'm upset about, and it's not even why I'm crying! I'm just... I'm just so fucking angry!
Y/n walks forward and holds his hands out to her. Clementine takes a moment and looks at him, grabbing his hands after a minute.
Y/n: Take a moment and breathe.
While holding his hands, Clem does as he says and slowly starts to calm down. After a few seconds, she looks back at Y/n and he pulls her closer to him.
Y/n: Listen, I know this is getting harder to deal with, but I promise you that we won't be here for much longer. We'll find a way out, I know we will, we've just got to bide our time. I doubt she's a liar, but I also doubt she'll do anything to me yet. I don't know why but I just have that feeling. It is going to be okay.
Clementine slows her breathing more and more until finally she's better. She's still angry, but Y/n wipes her anger tears away and plants a small peck on her forehead.
Clementine: I trust you, Y/n, but all I'm going to say is this. If and when we do find a way to escape, we aren't leaving without killing her. Not after everything she's done. And when that time comes, I'm going to kill her myself.
Y/n: (Sighs) It sounds like your mind's made up about this. Sure, when we find a way out we'll deal with her before we leave. You can have full swing.
Clementine: And I know just how I'm going to do it...
Y/n: But until then...let's get back to work.
The go back to walking, holding hands as they do. At the same time a vast and infectious anger is building up inside Clem. Years of apocalypse and all the hardships she has faced so far hasn't made her as angry as Madison has. And when the time comes, she's going to unleash hell like it hasn't been seen before on that woman. Whether they find a way to escape or not, something is going to go down. She'll make it.
