Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding.

Piper wouldn't stop texting or calling me. I didn't pick up and I didn't read her texts. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding.
My curiosity got the best of me and I looked at my phone.

"I'm sorry."
"I love you."
"Please come back."
"When you asked me not to leave, I didn't."
"So why did you?"
"Al, please"
"I'M SORRY"
"Ugh, fine, be like this. Whatever"
"C'mon Alex. I'm sorry."
"Baby, please"
"I don't know what to say."

I rolled my eyes and put my phone on mute. I didn't want to hear from her, I didn't want to read what she had to say and I didn't want to hear her shit apologies.

I walked aside the road with a look on my face that could kill. I knew exactly what I was going to do. I walked to a news stand and asked for a telephone book. I looked under Victoria.
There were so many I didn't know where to begin, but I was determined to find the right one.

89 missed calls, 56 text messages from Piper and 3 hours later, luck was finally on my side.

"Hello?"

"Hey. I need to see you right away. It's about Piper."

"Excuse me? Who is this?"

I took a deep breath and decided to lie in order to get what I wanted;

"Piper's in danger. You need to come meet me on fourth and sixth, I'll be outside the pharmacy. Black leather jacket, tall, glasses."

I hung up and hoped that she would show up.
