I gently touched Piper's face with my hand and pulled her near me. Our lips locked and we kissed passionately. Everybody stood up from their chairs and started clapping and smiling at us. Nicky was the loudest and the most excited one. Piper and I turned and faced the audience, holding hands.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Mrs. and Mrs. Vause-Chapman!", the marriage officiant announced and the clapping got louder. Piper and I looked at each other, still smiling and kissed again.

"Uh, the wedding reception will be held right here, on this beautiful beach. You may all follow the brides and let this party start!", Nicky exclaimed and Piper and I were the first ones to leave towards the tables, which had purple orchids on them and lots of drinks and food. The band started playing as we all clinked our glasses together when Bill took the microphone and cut off the band;

"Excuse me, I would just like to say a few words. Piper, I know I haven't been there for you like I should have. I wasn't a very good father to you lately and I can only hope that you can give me a chance to fix that. I am hoping that these words can mean a fresh start for us. Your wedding was not at all what I had expected. It was way better, because I see how truly happy you are and I couldn't be happier about the fact that you chose to listen to your heart instead of your, sometimes stupid father. May you both stay happy and in love. To the bride and the bride!", he raised his glass and everybody followed his lead. I smiled at him and he winked back. Piper grabbed my hand and I looked at her. Tears ran down her face and I could tell she was very moved. I wiped them off and kissed her lips;

"Your father is a good man."

Bill continued;

"May we please have the bride and the bride on the dancefloor? It's time for their first dance as a married couple."

I looked at Piper, smiled and put down my glass. She took one more sip of her drink and put it on the table near us. I took her by the hand and led her to the dancefloor.
