Breathing in deep, the salt air twisting in the warm breeze. The wind lifted the stands of your hair which sat on your shoulders, your skirt swirled around your legs. Flicking your shades on to block out the setting sun. You adjusted your bag and stepped towards the cab you had hired. It made two stops, one at Steve's house for you to dump your gear, you settled your handbag on your shoulder before re-entering the cab. It headed towards Five-0 headquarters.

You waved at Duke as he passed, he smiled at you. The perp he had collared wolf-whistled at you and Duke shoved him towards the building. You pushed the button for the elevator, entering it when it arrived, jabbing at the floor which would lead you to Five-0. The doors dinged when they opened. You stepped out, your skirt swishing around your tan legs, heels clicking on the floor. Steve was standing with Danny, Kono, and Chin. They didn't notice you at first, but Danny turned and saw you, a wicked grin spread across his face. "Steve, you have a visitor." Steve who had his hands braced on the computer table, dropped his head, but he didn't turn around. "Please tell me its not the governor." Danny grinned, Kono moved carefully turning to face you and she grinned, Chin turned around fully and smirked at seeing you. You gave a small wave which they returned. "Oh, it's not the governor." Danny tried to hide his laughter. You gave a laughing smile still remaining silent as to not give the game away. "Then who, is it Danny?" You grinned and shrugged, Danny grinned, "Turn around and find out, then Steven." He mocked. Steve turned around, his face flashing with annoyance, confusion, and finally happiness. "Hey love." He crossed the room in long quick strides. He pulled you into a warm hug, the others moved over and hugged you when Steve released you. "I thought I'd drop in and say hi. I have a few days off, before a photoshoot here. Then I have a month off which I'll use to design my clothing line." Steve grinned, his arm around your waist. "I also thought you'll all want to go out for drinks tonight." Danny grinned, "Who is paying?" You rolled your eyes. "I'll pay, Danny."

You were all relaxed and laughing at some dumb joke of Danny's which is at Steve's expense. Chin took a sip of his beer, he swallowed, "So Y/N, where did you go this time?" You sipped at your cocktail, "Israel, Greece, Egypt, and Korea." Danny whistled, "Wow." Steve grinned. "Why did you agree to marry this ape then?" You laughed while Steve pouted.

"Steve?" You all turned, a dark-haired woman walked towards you, she was wearing a navy dress with a low-cut neckline. "Catherine. Hey." He stood and hugged her, the others did the same. You stood and shook her hand. "Don't I know you?" You smiled and shrugged, "I have one of those faces." Steve waved one hand, "join us for a drink?" Catherine smiled, "aren't you going to introduce us Steve?" He choked on his beer, "right, Catherine this is Y/N, my fiancée." Catherine's smile faltered, "oh." Steve waved towards Catherine, "this is Catherine, we've served together, she's assigned to the Enterprise." You smiled and gave her a hug which she returned.

Catherine joined all of you for a drink, jealousy nipped at her. She hadn't heard that Steve was engaged. A year and half earlier, she had had drinks with Steve, and he had gotten drunk and kissed her. While she had rejected him, knowing she wasn't ready for a relationship. Now she felt she was and so she had come to see him. She had hoped that he was still single, she hadn't thought he would find someone as amazing as you. She smiled she was happy for Steve and you. She took another swig of her drink. She made a joke at Steve's expense which got a laugh out of the team. Catherine watched as Steve lay his arm across your shoulders and kissed your temple, his eyes lighting up as you looked at him. You smiled at Steve, eyes shining. The warm breeze lifted everyone's spirits as they drank to happy times.
