You stirred the pot of stew, as you ran through the list of food that was ready. The rolls were resting on the bench, steam rising from them. The rest of the meal had been set up on the island in the middle of the kitchen. Peter Parker was sitting on one of the stools by the breakfast bar. There were used bowls and utensils littering the space. The room that wasn't taken up by you had Peter's textbooks spread out along with an empty glass that had contained water and a plate with crumbs.

You and Peter were good friends, you had met while Peter had some work experience at one of Tony's labs. You had started working with Tony after you had finished university early. Being a child prodigy had its advantages, and its downfalls, one was you didn't make friends well. Peter was a few years younger than you, Wanda was the same age. You discussed random topics, crushes, bullies and superheroes, of course. You sighed. Peter looked up at you running his fingers through his hair, "You okay?" You nodded. "Still haven't figured out how to ask Wanda out yet?" He asked. "You ask Liz to the dance yet?" He huffed while you smiled at him, he opened his mouth to ask you about physics, but you interrupted him. "How can I ask her out she's so...so...cute." You finished lamely, not finding the right words. "Cute?" Peter asked mockingly. You twisted and pointed your wooden spoon at him. "No mocking." He laughed. You waved the spoon at him, "Go tell the other's dinner is ready. No getting FRIDAY to do it for you!" You shouted at him as the young man jumped up and raced out of the room. You began to place the food on the table, you began to ladle the stew into bowls for them. "Tell Wanda how you feel it will all work out." You muttered under your breath. "Yeah, right. Like that works. It only works in movies half the damn time. Tell Wanda how you feel."

"Feel what?" Wanda's accented voice questioned causing you to stiffen in place. You turned and dropped the full bowl of stew. Red wisps caught it and delivered it back into your hands. "Thank you." You managed to force the words out despite it being no louder than a whisper. You turned and placed the bowl in the last place on the table. Walking back to the kitchen, you noticed that Wanda was gazing at you, with a soft fondness in her dark eyes. You reached out and picked up the lid for the pot, Wanda leaned in close to you and plucked the wooden spoon from the side. She dipped it into the stew and drew it out, she brought the spoon to her red stained lips and tasted the mixture. "It's delicious." You smiled nervous at the close quarters, "Thank you." She placed the spoon in the sink and reached for the lid you had placed back on the side. Her soft fingers brushed the back of your hand lightly. The soft thud pulled you out of your daze. You blinked confusedly, and Wanda smiled before brushing her fingers across your forehead and drawing them down your cheeks. You bit your lip. Wanda leaned in to you, her hand snaked its way across your waist pulling you in close by the small of your back. You leaned up towards her. Her other hand cupped your jaw gently and she leaned in. Her lips were slightly parted, she breathed in lightly before leaning in to capture your lips. She tugged your lower lip lightly into her mouth while pushing her upper lip into yours. You inhaled lightly as she kissed you before humming and smiling into the kiss. She sighed lightly into your mouth. You pulled away, Wanda smiled and brushed her thumb along your lips, moving the smudged lipstick. She grinned at you and was about to say something when the door was flung open and the pair of you flinched away from the other. Peter tumbled in oblivious to what had happened moments prior. "Dinner's on the table." You managed to tell him without a shake in your voice. He nodded, and the other Avengers moved through the kitchen towards the dining room. They all gave you weird looks. Wanda began to follow but you pulled her back towards you and kissed her once more.
