Pietro paced his sister's room; his accent was getting heavy in the air as he ranted about what to get you for your birthday. Wanda lay back on her bed, her hair fanning out behind her. Her light accent flittered into Pietro's ears as she attempted to calm her twin. "What are you complaining about now?" He turned to face his sister appalled she hadn't been listening. "Y/N's birthday!" Wanda rolled her eyes, "Of course. You've spoken of nothing else all month." Pietro ran his fingers through his tangled silver hair. "I need a good present for her. I need to impress her." Wanda sighed again. "You don't need to impress her." She closed her eyes and sighed. He kneeled close to his sister's head. "Help me." He pleaded with her. Wanda rose up onto her elbows and looked over to her brother. His cocky façade had fallen, he was displaying emotions that she hadn't seen him show for anyone but her.

She heaved a sigh and pulled herself to her feet. "Come on then." She headed not to the front door like Pietro thought but to your room. She knocked a couple times and when you didn't answer opened the door and went in. Pietro swore at his sister and cursed after her in his native language. "Wait there." She reprimanded her brother when he made to follow. "What are you doing?"

"I have an idea for her gift, but I have to check and make sure she doesn't already have a copy." She moved to the left of the room, Pietro looked on. He noted that your room was clean, some clothes were haphazardly thrown on the bed as if you hadn't had the time to put them away. There was an L shaped desk, on one a stack of books was displayed, a computer cord snaked across it there was no laptop lay on the other desk. Assorted objects lay littered across the desks. Pietro's eyes roved the room as Wanda checked your vanity, admiring the necklaces that were in the jewellery box, she also checked the books on your desk. She moved away and out of Pietro's sight. Pietro glanced around and for once in his life walked into the room. It was homey and smelled like your perfume with an undertone of books. He looked around, the door to your bathroom was open and there was a hint of your shampoo in the air. He turned over to where his sister had disappeared. There was another door, he followed. He gasped the room was filled with shelves which had all sorts of books on them. He walked around amazed that the sight. Pietro also found a window seat. The window seat was wide and would allow a person to spread out, the cousins were scattered due to you curling up and spreading out. Wanda moved through the shelves, "Pietro!" He jumped at his sister's whisper shriek. He attempted to defend himself. "I got curious." She sighed and rolled her eyes. "She doesn't have it." He bit his lip and widened his eyes with a slight shake of his head. He had no idea where she was going with this. Wanda grabbed her brother's hand and dragged him away.

You hadn't wanted a massive party, so the Avenger's had decided on a dinner with all of them. After the dinner and everyone else had given their gifts, you were all discussing different topics. Pietro still hadn't given his gift to you yet; his heart was in his mouth. Pietro followed you into the kitchen with his tightly wrapped gift. "Hey Pietro." You smiled at the young man, "This is for you." He handed the gift over, you opened it. 'Peter Pan' by J. M. Barrie. You grinned, "I don't have this one." Pietro grinned, "Wanda helped me check your books, to see if you did or not." You smiled up at Pietro, but instead of his smiling face you saw an acorn. More specifically an acorn necklace. "This is also for you." You smiled, turning and pulling your hair up you allowed Pietro to fasten the necklace around your neck. He dropped a kiss to the base of your neck were the clasp lay. You turned and grinned up at him, you leaned up and kissed him lightly. "Thank you."
