Kono bit her thumb nervously, she paced the floor of her living room as she waited for you to arrive. You had been undercover for the last few months, and tonight was the first night you would be back in Kono's arms after being apart for so long. She had dressed up for the occasion. You were currently being debriefed at HQ. Kono had dinner waiting, she was all made up ready and waiting to see you.
Kono heard the crunching of gravel underneath a car's wheels and she moved to stand by the door. You knocked, and she grinned widely, Kono opened the door. You dropped your bags at the sight of your girlfriend. "Kono." You breathed, you gazed at your gorgeous girlfriend. Kono bounced on the balls of her feet, she gave a cheeky grin lifting her thumb to her mouth to give it a mischievous edge. Her hair was pulled up and piled in an elegantly messy bun, her makeup was a natural look, highlighting her beauty. Her gold hoop earrings glinted in the light. "I made dinner." Kono told you, "Why don't you shower and change while I set it up?" You grinned at her, picking up your bags you moved inside. You stepped forwards to kiss her, but she stepped back. "You really need to shower first." You laughed, "Sorry Steve shoved me into garbage." She laughed. "Sounds like Steve." You moved away to the bathroom.
You dropped your bags in the laundry, you turned the water on and shed your clothing. You stepped into the deliciously hot water. You closed your eyes and allowed the smell of Kono's shampoo and conditioner fill your senses. After a while you stepped out and dried yourself, searching your closet you chose your favourite outfit and put it on. You were quick with your makeup, adding some jewellery your look was complete. You stepped into your heels and walked downstairs. Kono pressed play on the stereo and your favourite song began to play.
You ate in relative silence, simply enjoying each other's company. You sat close to each other. When you had finished the meal and cleaned up. You both moved into the living room, the music played slightly louder, and Kono held out her hand. You took it. She tugged you closer, she was taller. You wrapped your arms around her neck, as she placed hers around your waist. Together you swayed to the music. You rested your head on her shoulder and breathed in the warm scent of coconuts. Kono tucked her face into your neck, pressing a soft kiss to your shoulder. You felt her eyelashes brush against your skin. You smiled, "Thank you for waiting, Kono."
"I will always wait for you, Y/N."
