Hey guys, sorry for the long absence, I had essays and exams. I am now finished with university, I graduate this year (well as long as I pass my exams). So I am looking for a job now, (Yay! Off to join the rat race). I have decided to add One Chicago (Chicago: Med, Chicago: PD, Chicago: Fire) to the list of Fandoms I write for. Heads up I am not well caught up on the shows, so the timelines may jump around. Thank you for following me, voting and reading my works, it means a lot to me. Thank you, my lovelies. Enjoy, my dears.

You watched from your couch as Kelly paced on the phone, out of the corner of your eye you were watching reruns of your favourite television show. Some main character was busy confessing his love for the female character. Kelly threw himself down onto the couch, a pout adoring his lips. You nibbled your own wandering what was bothering him. He pinched the bridge of nose and exhaled loudly. You watched as his eyes glazed over as he watched the Christmas lights as they blinked in and out hiding in the foliage. "Kelly?" You questioned. He inhaled but didn't say anything. "You alright?"

"I just got a call my shift is working Christmas day." You gave a soft sigh, "Oh Kelly." He sighed and twisted in his seat to pull you into his lap. He buried his face in your neck and placed a small kiss there. "I had this plan about how we were going to spend Christmas." You sighed softly, "Well, you're not working the 26th so we can have a late Christmas then." Kelly groaned slightly, "I wanted to make this Christmas, our first Christmas together to be special." You smiled at him, "Any Christmas, hell any day I spend with you is special." Kelly smiled at you. Kelly deposited you off his lap, "Where are you going?" He kissed you slowly, "To get your Christmas present." You shook your head, "Nope, you are not. I want to wait till the 26th, please." You pouted and gave him the puppy dog eyes. He sighed and nodded. "Alright." He kissed you slowly as you both got up to go to bed.

That night as you lay snuggled into Kelly's side, your hand on his chest, one of his encasing your hand. Your mind was whirring about what you could do for the team at Christmas, an idea clicked and grabbed your phone to write it down. The next morning when Kelly had disappeared to head to the Firehouse, you called Cindy Herrmann to help with the execution of your idea which by now was fully formed. Together with the help of her children and with Peter Mills' family also in on the secret, you began to execute the idea. Herrmann's children and Mills' sister began to create the decorations and wrap the presents all of which were being hidden at Mills' sister's place. You, Cindy and Mill's mother began to bake, and cook the Christmas meal which you were hiding at the diner. You also began discussing ways to surprise the Firehouse. All ideas weren't what you wanted to do, however one idea sprang into mind. "We could just get them to help if they don't get a call out." You suggested, Cindy grinned. "There's a great idea."

Mills' mother grinned, "They will love that." The next day, you drove up to the Firehouse, Kelly had kissed you when he left early that morning. You were the first one of the team to arrive, Cindy had timed it so that everyone would be at the Firehouse and you would all show up before lunch to decorate the Firehouse. Suddenly the doors opened and all the trucks along with the ambulance began to leave. You sighed, you called Cindy. "They all left, might want to arrive now. We can make it a surprise." Cindy sighed. "I hope it all goes okay, probably a turkey fire." Slowly the rest of your team began to arrive. You and Mills' sister began to help the kids set up the decorations and the Christmas tree. Cindy and Mills' mother began to set the table up and arrange the food. Your phone rang, and everybody went silent. "Hey, Kelly. How's the shift?"

"The shift is going fine, we just had a call out, turkey fire. Luckily there wasn't too much damage, and no one was hurt." You sighed, "That's good that no one was hurt. How's the team?" Kelly sighed, "We're all on our way back to the Firehouse. Everyone's bummed about missing Christmas, but Mills said he and Gabby would make a turkey when we got back." You grinned, "That sounds nice, I have to get back to my aunt and make sure she doesn't burn our turkey. Love you, see you tonight." He sighed, "Love you too." You hung up. "They're on their way back now." Everyone shared matching grins. The sound of the doors opening sprung, all of you into action, "Quick hide." Cindy whispered. Herrmann noticed the change first. "What the hell?"

"Surprise!" You all jumped from your hiding places. "What's going on here?" Boden asked as the Firehouse shared looks of surprise and happiness. You shrugged, "We figured that seeing as you couldn't come to Christmas we would bring Christmas to you." Kelly grinned at you. "We have food and presents."

"Food first." Cindy declared. "Sit were your name is please, Chief would you like to crave the turkey?" Everyone nodded, Kelly kissed your temple as he pushed your chair in and took his own. Boden stood at the head of the table, knives poised to crave turkey. "First off, I would like to thank you all for being the best Firehouse in Chicago and to thank all of you who helped pull this off today." There was a round of applause and Herrmann kissed his wife while their kids pointed out to Mouch and Otis what decorations they had made. You leaned over to Kelly, "So how's this for a first Christmas?" He grinned and kissed your temple, "Perfect, thank you." As you laughed and began to eat, you loved that this was your family.
