Emma's POV

Emma Lucia DeLuca - Bishop.

I had the same last name as my mommies. I was so happy and the fact that Mamma give me my Nonna's middle name meant so much to me.

I loved how safe they were.

I could wear boy clothes and they would still love me the same. I could play with dolls and they would still love me.

All of me.

Mamma always tough me rules but I've learnt not to be afraid them.

She was gentle just like Mommy. She told me how afraid of she was to teach me new rules. Mommy mentioned her dad a few times and she was sad every time. I didn't really understand what he did but I don't want to meet him.

She was a great Mommy.

Only a week until my fifth birthday.

I never really had a birthday party before. I didn't remember having them as a small child and Nonna said I wasn't important enough to make a big fuss about it.

Mamma and Mommy asked what I wanted as a present as we were watching movies and cuddling on the couch.

"Bambina what do you want for you birthday?" Mamma was excited

"Non lo so (I don't know)" I answered in Italian knowing Mommy understood it as well.

I had everything.

My aunties and uncles bought me everything I could imagine. "Mamma what do you do on your birthday?" I wanted to know how a traditional birthday looks like.

"Well Bambina, your Mommy usually wakes me up with breakfast in bed" she looked at Mommy with a smile. "Than we would do something together in the afternoon but we always swing by the station because your aunties and uncles love celebrating birthdays." she played with my hair softly

"That sounds nice Mamma. What about you Mommy?" I looked up at Mommy as I was laying in Mammas embrace.

"Well it's harder for me since I was not use to making it a big fuss." she looked sad again and I realised it was about her dad "I didn't really celebrate it until your beautiful Mamma. She always makes me her special French Toast with chocolate syrup" They giggled as Mommy continues "The rest is the same. Station for my team entertainment and then something special just the two of us. Well in the future it'll be more than just the two of us." She smiled at me. Her eyes were filled with love.

"I have never had a birthday party before" I was embarrassed

"Ohh my Princess, why?" Mommy moved closer to me

"I don't remember any of them when I lived with mom and papa." I stopped for a second "Nonna said I wasn't important enough to make a fuss for" I played with Mamma's collar awkwardly

"Bambina" Mamma's voice was softer this time "look at me" she liftedy chin up gently "You deserve so much more than the a birthday party. I want you to know how wonderful you really are." she kissed my forehead and I giggled

"Love you Mamma. Love you Mo... Mommy?!" as I turned towards her I have noticed that she was crying softly next to me

"Sorry Princess it's just..." she paused and wiped away her tears "I just want to protect you so you don't have to go through everything I went through because of my dad"

"Mommy you're safe. Mamma safe too. I have aunties and uncles. I'm safe" I climb into her lap amd hugged her tight

"I love you Princess. I love you so much and I promise you that you're worth every fuss and if someone can't give it to you it's their loss. I promise I will always make a fuss for you. We'll be the loudest mommies at every school events amd every achievements. We'll be embarrassing for sure but that means everyone knows that you have a whole village to cheer for you. Don't get me started on the graduations with your aunties and uncles. " her tears rolled down on her face as she hugged me so tight
