Menon residence
A tensed Latha was sitting on the couch in her room shedding tears after witnessing Amritha's wedding.
Sameer gave her the water to calm her and spoke
"Dear, why are so worried?!! We will find the perfect partner for our Sanal. Don't you trust me?!!"
"It is not about trust, Sameer! I can't watch him sulk every day! I just want him to be happy with someone who will love him and take care of him. That is the least I can wish for my son's happiness. Shouldn't I?!" Latha complained to her husband who tsked and hugged her sobbing self.
He thought about her words and realised that they need to find a life partner for their son.
Latha told him about the Varma family and their lovely daughter, Prisha.
She continued telling him about the good background of the family and the humbleness of their daughter.
Sameer promised her that he will arrange a meeting between the family elders to discuss the future of their children.
Latha was somewhat satisfied that she was at least able to convey her heartfelt desire for a better future for her son.
Varma Hotel Corporation office
"Vinay! How nice to see you! What brings you here at my humble office?" Pradeep welcomed Vinay in his office.
Vinay was informed by Sameer on Latha's desire for Prisha and Sanal's matrimony. So, as an informant for both the family, he thought to visit the Varma's for a formal introduction of the family over dinner.
"Of course. We will surely join for a dinner. But..." Pradeep was hesitating on dictating his thoughts.
"But, what Pradeep?" Vinay encouraged him to which Pradeep got up from his seat and walked towards the office window.
He gazed at the busy street surrounding the Metro and its occupants hurrying to their destinations.
Vinay was worried that he might have to return empty handed.
"Vinay, my daughter is very fragile. She is strong minded, but her heart... It is still not strong enough. She is pampered a lot by all of us. *huff* you can say she is my angel!" Pradeep explained the humble nature of his only daughter.
Vinay remembered the one person who also considered his Reine as an angel. He smiled and got up from his seat knowing exactly the feelings of a father.
"Pradeep, I know how you feel. I am not telling you to marry off your daughter just like that. We can meet up with each other. See how compatible our family is. And then perhaps if all is well, we can consider the proposal. If not, then we can always be friends. No matter what." Vinay was hoping to get Pradeep accept their dinner invitation.
Sameer wanted to meet Pradeep himself. But when Vinay came to know about Latha's interest towards Prisha as Sanal's bride. Vinay volunteered to convey their message to Pradeep with whom he had developed a friendly bond over the time.
He wanted to handle the situation smoothly and for the betterment of both the family.
Flashback
The Empire Hotel Corporation Office
The board members agreed on the proposition for the new order that they received.
Sameer told his assistant to forward the mail once the order has been processed.
He was thinking of his conversation with Latha in the morning for a bride for Sanal.
He had heard about the Varma family and their prestigious hotel empire. He was also aware of his grandfather being mentioning about the Varma during his random talks.
"Sam, Ready for our lunch meeting with the Clients? Dan, just called me that they are about to reach the premises. Sam?!" Vinay had entered Sameer's cabin and made himself comfortable in the chair. He saw his friend zoning out and paying zero attention to his words.
Sameer looked at his friend when he snapped him out of his thoughts.
Vinay asked him for his tension to which Sameer narrated the willingness of his wife to marry off Sanal to Prisha.
Vinay said that they were unnecessarily hurrying the matter.
"Sam, I hope you know what you are planning? Marriage is not a joke. And moreover, Sanal has just come out of a heartbreak. You can't just marry him off just so you want to see him happy asap. Give him some time. He needs it," Vinay tried to make his friend understand the trauma that Sanal was going through.
Sameer said that he had tried to make Latha understand the same but she was adamant. He told about the Varma family and their daughter who was basically the suitor selected by Latha for Sanal.
Vinay then thought that if he could just...
"Sam, I know that girl. She is perfect for our Sanal. But, before we take any steps towards the path of marriage. We should check whether the children are compatible with each other or not. Coz, this is not our generation, where the children will just agree to whatever their family wants them to do," Vinay was making his friend know the seriousness of the issue.
"And moreover, the Varmas' are not the type of people that you want to annoy by breaking their beloved daughter's heart. That child, Prisha is the most polite and simplest girl I have seen. She is practically an angel! Her entire demeanour is not what today's kids have. She is humble to those who deserve it and looking back at the time that I have conversed with her. She is the most genuine person who is bound to become the perfect partner for any guy. So, think about the girl before you decide to make her as your son's bride." Vinay was very straight forward in his views about Prisha. He didn't want to hurt the pure soul just because they wanted a saviour to mend Sanal's broken heart.
Sameer took into consideration the words that his bestie had told him. He said that he would not want to ruin a girl's future, just to save his son's screwed up life.
As Vinay was standing in the elevator, waiting for his floor to arrive. He thought about the crumbled situation that Sanal was going through and the cheerful nature of Prisha who would bring sunshine wherever she went.
As he sat in his car, he thought about the possibility of removing the sadness from Sanal's life through Prisha. He was sure that if Prisha would enter Sanal's life he would definitely look at life in a more hopeful sense.
He told his driver to take the car to the Varma Hotel Corporation.
End of flashback.
Afte much refusal, finally Pradeep agreed for the dinner party with the Menon's and Nair's at the Menon residence for the coming Sunday.
Vinay conveyed the message to his bestie who was having mixed feelings about this meet. Vinay assured him that he would be the mediator for him at the dinner.
Varma Residence
Prisha had finished her yoga session and now was preparing to have her bath.
She applied the ubtan blended by herself taking into the knowledge given by her grandmother, Sharanya's mother.
As a little girl, Prisha had spent most of her childhood in the village alongside with her grandmother in Sharanya's ancestral house.
So, she was a village belle who was not in lieu with the usual vibrancy of the city girls.
Yes, she was modern in her thinking and attitude but she was grounded to her traditions and wanted to stay like that.
After her bath routine, she called Gaurav asking him to meet up in the park.
In the park
Benny was munching on her protein bar, waiting for her friends for the past 20 minutes.
She saw Gaurav jog towards her with his sparkling smile.
Gaurav took Benny in a bear hug which she reciprocated equally.
They then asked for their Prisha who shouted from a distance smiling at them.
"Guys, I think we should go to this gallery opening next month. I mean Prisha it is your favourite artist. Remember you went for his autograph during his visit at the art exhibition in our university. But missed him by an inch. This is your chance," Benny lured Prisha who was excited to meet her favourite artist.
Gaurav high fived the idea of a party. Benny corrected him saying that it was an art trip.
"What is the fun in that?!! I mean she would be conversing with her fav. And what will we be doing?!! Gazing at them?!!!" Gaurav was annoyed at the zero fun trip that the girls had planned ignoring him.
Benny grabbed his shoulder and smiled saying
"There is a food mela happening in the adjacent hall. We can move in there while our friend chats with her artist. What say? You game?!" Gaurav liked the idea of food and he thumbs up his inclusion on his favourite topic. He clutched her shoulders giving his involvement. They were smiling looking into each other's eyes.
Prisha chuckled at their weird bonding. But they were producing an unknown energy between themselves. Especially Gaurav, who was lovingly looking at Benny who was blushing!!
Prisha was astonished at their behaviour who didn't seem to realise her presence.
*Clears throat*
Benny let go of Gaurav and started talking random stuff at the disturbance created by her friend who pursed her lips smiling, at their odd behaviour.
Prisha was aware of Gaurav's feeling for Benny but she wanted to assure it from Benny.
So, she thought to tackle her when they would be alone.
Menon Residence
In the evening
Sanal was tired at the immense work that he had pulled in the office. Juggling from his Dad's office to his uncle's. He thought to take an off next day and called Dino stating his absence for tomorrow.
"Dude! You can't do that to me! We still have the realignment of the photos for the opening of the website. Please, you have to give your approval. Don't do this to me!" Dino low shouted at him stating his dilemma.
"Dino. You can go ahead with the photos. I will mail my approval to the secretary. He will convey to uncle. Don't worry. Please I need this day off. I am tired to the bones..." Sanal grunted with pain at his left shoulder.
Apparently he had bumped badly into a door while going inside the printing press office for the final print of the placard. His assistant was busy with arranging the photo gallery for the clients in the office completing forgetting about the placard.
Sanal went to the printing press office personally to make any modifications if required.
Dino hummed on the tiredness exerted by his friend and told him to send a copy of the approval mail.
Sanal told the maid to set his dinner as he wanted to hit the bed early.
At the dining table,
Latha saw that Sanal was having his dinner.
She brushed his hair back to get a tired smile from him.
"Tired?!" Sanal nodded at her words and continued his dinner.
Latha told the maid to prepare the herbal soup for his aching body.
She informed him about the dinner with the Varma's the coming weekend.
Sanal said that it was difficult for him to attend the dinner as he had already planned a get together with his college squad.
Latha told him to try to involve himself in at least one of the family dinner parties.
He smiled and told her that he will try to.
Latha saw her son move to his room after his dinner and thought about how he needs Prisha to take care of him.
At the mention of Prisha and seeing her pic, Latha had started drawing the perfect life for Sanal and Prisha.
