~Ashton's POV~
I looked at the sleeping body of Luke and I stood up. I heard a faint whisper coming from the far wall. I noticed a group of kids also from the hospital sitting on a hospital bed.
I walked over and asked who's room this was. I already knew who's it was because a doctor was telling him this was temporary which stung. The kid in the wheelchair introduced himself, "Hi,
I'm Leo and this is my room". I thanked him for putting up with us. I was about to ask them how they were doing when I heard a cough. A very familiar cough.
I turned around and ran over to the bed. "LUKE," Calum yelled to Michael who was walking back from the cafeteria. "Nurse!" I heard Emily cud as Luke started to cough even harder. "It's ok buddy," Connor said, "Breathe". I noticed the scars on Connor's wrist were fading but one fresh one remained. Connor noticed me and quickly pulled his sleeve down.
I looked back at Luke who seemed to be doing okay. He looked at Emily and said, "Where's Caitlyn?" Emily looked at him and told him she was in New York. He laughed and said, "Ha, I totally forgot". Michael looked at him and asked, "Are you hungry? You have been out for 2 days". Luke looked startled then grabbed a apple from the bedside table.
"Hey, Connor, remember the song you wrote for Emily when she was dating that kid Joey Graceffa in 8th grade? That was funny," Luke giggled. "What? Luke, your probably delusional from your medicine. Just relax," Connor said persistently. Calum and I started to giggle when Connor shot us a look.
"Omg, you did write a song for me," Emily laughed. "What is it?" she asked. "Nothing big," Connor muttered. "NOTHING BIG?!" I practically yelled, "ITS ON OUR NEW ALBU-". Calum cut me off. Emily stared at me and ran outside. "Shit," Michael said, "What did we do".
Connor paced back in forth and kept muttering, where is she, where is she. Emily suddenly came running back in holding a Rite Aid bag. She pulled out our new 5sos album and started naming songs. "Um, Good Girl," she asked. "So close," Calum chuckled. "OMG! Connor! Heartbreak girl!" Emily yelled. Connor blushed and sat down.
As the boys and I laughed we suddenly heard Luke singing,
'When the phone call finally ends
You say I'll call you tomorrow at ten
And I'm stuck in the friend zone again and again
I dedicate this song to you
The one who never sees the truth
That I can take away your hurt
Heartbreak girll
Hold you tight straight through the daylight"
Suddenly the rest of us joined in,
"I'm right here when you going to realize
That I'm your cureeee
Heartbreak girl
I bite my tongue
I wanna scream now
But I end up telling you what you want to hear
But your not ready
It's so frustrating
He treats you so bad
And it's not fair
When the phone call finally ends
You say I'll call you tomorrow at ten
And I'm stuck in the friend zone again and again
I dedicate this song to you
The one who never sees the truth
That I can take away your hurt
Heartbreak girll
Hold you tight straight through the daylight
I'm right here when you going to realize
That I'm your cureeee
Heartbreak girl
I know some day it's gonna happen
And you'll finally forget the day you met him
Sometimes I'm so close to confession
I've got to get it through your head
That you belong with me instead
I dedicate this song to you
The one who never sees the truth
That I can take away your hurt
Heartbreak girll
Hold you tight straight through the daylight
I'm right here when you going to realize
That I'm your cureeee
Heartbreak girl
I dedicate this song to you
The one who never sees the truth
That I can take away your hurt
Heartbreak girll
Hold you tight straight through the daylight
I'm right here when you going to realize
That I'm your cureeee
Heartbreak girl"
We all finished laughing and Connor blushing. Calum and I looked at Michael who was looking at Emily and Connor who were starting to kiss. Every time they did that Michael felt so protective over his little sister.
Luke started to laugh and commented, "Ah, Michael, big brother joe?" We all stared at him blankly and he started to crack up. His pain killers were working too much.
