Life Never goes as Planned

Could it be?

I walk back to the hospital and I make my way towards the maternity floor. As I'm walking by the nursery I bump into someone. "Are you Killian Jones?" I gave this woman a weird look. She looked awfully familiar but her pale white skin and frosty white hair threw me off. She grabs my hand. "Come with me!" She runs off and pulls me away. As we are running we stop at a room here in the maternity floor.

I let go of her hand. "I'm sorry miss I don't know you and I need to get back to prepare the things for the burial of my wife." She smiles. "That's what I'm here for." I gave her a baffled look. "We've been trying to look for you, we have great news." "What is it?" "Your wife." I sigh. "She's dead I can't bear see her in that state." She smiles. "She's alive." I gasp. "What?" She nods and points at the room.

I stare at the door knob and I back away. "Are you sure you're not playing with me, I can't get my hopes up." She sighs. "Is your wife Emma Jones?" I nod. "Then there she is!" I turn the knob and I walked in. I see her laying on the bed with an oxygen mask on. I can hear her heart beat on the monitor. At that moment I fall to the ground.

My love is alive! The lady walks in and I get up and hug her. She hugs me back and pats me on the back. I back away and smile. "How did this happen, she had died?" She sighs. "I know I had wheeled her out but as soon as we were prepping her I felt a slight moving coming from her. At first I brushed it off and continued with the prep. I looked over her chart and it broke my heart that she had just given birth then died." I sigh.

"I was washing her body and that's when her arm flinches and I jump. I check her heart beat and it was super low but it was there. There are rare cases when this happens but it seems that she was fighting for something." I couldn't help but cry. "I dried her up and brought her up here and that's when the doctors check her and confirm that she's back with us." I smile and tears were rolling down my face.

"She should wake up at any moment." She says. I nod. "Thank you so so much, you have given me my life back Miss?" "Liv, I'm the M.E. at this hospital." I go and hug her again. That's when we hear a groan. She backs away and smiles. "I think someone's waking up." I nod and smile. I walk over to Emma and look back at Liv. She smiles and walks out the door. I sit down and I grab Emma's hand. After a couple of minutes I see something that I never thought I was going to see again, her gorgeous green eyes. 

Emma's POV
I open my eyes and I'm laying on a bed. I didn't know why but I was scared as can be. I thought I was at FA. That's when I see Killian looking at me with tears in his eyes. I half smile. "Killian." I say and I take off the oxygen mask. He quickly grabs my hand, kisses it and caresses it with his face. That's when I feel a weird pain in my belly and I look down and I see it completely flat.

"Killian where's Leía, what, what happened?" He sighs. "Well you had passed out at the institute and were brought here." He says. I nod. "Ok but love why are you crying, did Leía die?" He sighs. "No Leía is perfect! Love, you died." I gasp. "What?" He nods. That's when someone bursts through the door. "So its true?" Lacy screams and runs and gives me a big hug.

"Emma you're alive, I'm so happy I thought you had left us." I give Killian a weird look. He nods. "I don't know you were fine during the surgery, I mean you were hypothermic but that's not the case." I laid there still confused as can be. "Ok where's Leía and why did I faint?" Killian sighs. "She's in the NICU because she was small." I give him a weird look. "Small, she was about 8lbs, how?" He half smiles.

"The reason why you fainted and Leía is small is because someone else was in there with her." I was confused what did he mean? I looked at Lacy and she was smiling. That's when the door opens and a nurse walks into the room with a baby wrapped in a baby blue blanket. She hands Killian the baby and walks away. My eyes shot open at the sight of that.

"My love we had twins, this little guy was in there with Leía." I look over at Lacy and she's smiling super big. I couldn't believe it. "Are you serious?" I ask him with a huge smile on my face. He nods. "Well no wonder I was huge as can be and very weak." He nods and smiles. I look at him and tears started to form in my eyes.

"Love, what's his name?" He smiles. "I wanted you to pick a name for him." I smile. "Can I hold him love?" He nods and hands me our baby boy. As soon as I held him in my arms I fell in love. "Hello there little guy, mommy's here." I say and he smiles. I look up and Killian is crying non stop.

"Liam." Killian looked confused. "His name will be Liam." He smiles. "I love it Emma." I smile. I looked at him and he leaned in closer to me and gave me a huge and passionate kiss. We let go and I gave him a confused look. "Killian what's wrong?" He smiles. "You don't know the pain I felt when I saw you die." I sigh.

That's right I was so caught up with figuring out how I fainted and about Leía that I forgot that I had died. I held his hand and I kissed it. "I'm sorry my love and I'm sorry Lacy." They both smile and nod. Lacy goes and sits at the end of the bed. "I'm just happy you're alive." Lacy says and I smile. "You guys can't get rid of me that easily." They shake their heads and smile.

Killian goes up to me and puts his forehead against mine. "I love you so much Emma." I caress his cheek and smile. "I love you too." He buries his face in my neck. "Please don't scare me like that and leave. I seriously don't know what I would do without you." He says while crying. I couldn't help but cry myself. I caress the back of his head and smile. "Don't worry my love I promise I will never leave."

He leans back and smiles. He leans in and gives me a soft yet passionate kiss. I could totally tell he had missed me. "I love you." He sweetly says in between breathes. "I love you too." I say in between breathes. We let go and I look over at Lacy. Lacy comes to my left and lays down next to me. "I'm so happy to know that my best friend is alive." I caress her head and smile.

That's when Killian places his head on my lap while I had the baby in one arm. We sat there in silence and my did it feel good. I looked down at all three and it made me realize how blessed I truly am to be loved by these amazing people. The only thing missing from this family moment was my Leía but I am happy to know that we were all here together as one.
