The dark isn't scary.
It's just the fear of abandonment.
That under the cover of darkness.
The ones you love will run away.
It's a rational fear spawned from irrational thoughts.
And even after countless 'I love you's the fear's never lost.
Because love is sparse.
And it's hard to hold onto.
And once you find someone you really care about,
You can't imagine them being gone.
But everyone leaves, one way or another.
And it's impossible to escape. So just embrace the dark.
And accept your fate.
Because if they really care,
Which I'm sure they do,
They'll wait till the morning to say;
I'm leaving you.
