More Than Just A Curse

10 2 0

The days are longer

But time passes faster

The nights are colder

But the sun shines the same

The world is brighter

But it's still the same colors

And my soul is kinder

But I speak the same words

My mind is lighter

But I still have a burden

And my eyes sparkle

But they still are dark

Everything has changed, for better or for worse

And I'm finally accepting it

As more than a curse

It was a disaster for the longest of times

All the fights and the nights spent crying

But now I see it for what it really was

A bump in the road

A little pit stop

A dark one at that, but necessary all the same

There was no one, not a single person to blame.

Now I'm free

And I can clearly see

That my lowest low

Was more than just a curse
