The hardest part

Sorry if it might be short in the beginning cause I'm going to be going back to how it was 22 years ago for my grandfather when we took him life support after his heart gave out. It will get longer in time

The decision was made to turn off the machines in the morning from both grandparents and hospice will take over and it was going to be a matter of time before they passed away

"Well shall we stay or go back to the hotel and get some rest then come back and wait this out?" April asks the bunch

"Go back to the hotel and get some sleep and be back in the morning cause it might be a few hours or a couple of hours or days before they pass away" Juliette says to the group

Everyone agreed cause they needed to sleep off the jet lag and get a good night sleep as well cause it will be a hard couple of days as they were going to bury their parents and get custody of the girls

"Plus, the hospital might kick us out" Greg says as they were leaving to go back to the hotel to get some sleep and maybe get something to eat

Abby was happy to see her cousins for the first time and spend some time with them cause they were close to her age, and she could not get over the fact that she will be kissing goodbye to Kendall and Logan her other parents that took care of her after her grandparents started to go downhill in health. She was hoping to be in touch with them cause were great parents in her eyes, and she knows she will need a mom figure later on in life to explain things to her and Kendall and Logan could not do that

"Bye Abbey and Cam see you in the morning or whenever" Kendall says as he left the girls with their relatives for the time being cause they might want to stay with them for a while or so until they want to go back to Kendall and Logan in time and by the looks of it they won't want to come back

"Bye daddy bye papa" Abbey says as they left

(Next morning)

The kids were at the hospital early so they can meet the hospice team that was going to take care of their parents as soon as they stop support

"I guess this is it" Greg says as he comes with his coffee in his hand

"Yeah, it is and now the hard part begins" Adam says cause the girls were staying downstairs until hospice comes cause the guys were going to do the hard part of shutting off life support and seeing the parents and see what happens cause they might pass right away, or they might linger for a few to a couple of hours to days or weeks

The guys were going to pray before going into the unit where the grandparents were at the moment, and they were going to tell the nursing staff what decision was made

"I think the guys should have the honor of going in and telling the nurses to stop all forms of support" Juliette says as she came in with a box of Kleenex cause it was not going to be a good day

"Okay if we do that call one of the local pastors to see if last rights can be done" Greg tells her

"That we can do cause I don't know if they will go right away" Juliette says as she was going to call her pastor and see if he could come and do the last rights for the parents once they go

The girls were going to be calling to the local churches and they were going to call the home where the parents stayed at to see if they have a pastor that could do last rites and their pastor was going to come right over since most of the pastors did not know the parents or know if they went to their church

"Luckily, Pastor Lipschitz is coming over" Juliette says after she got a hold of some one for the last rites

"That's a load off our shoulders right now" Greg says as he was able to get himself together before going in to have the nurses stop all treatment

"Yeah, it is" Adam says as the guys headed in together to tell the nurses to shut off the machines

More will come hopefully next week if I'm off
