Out of all the family scary stories, this is the only one that I was present when it happened.
A few years ago my older brother, Aston and his (now ex) girlfriend, Emily were going camping. My brother had moved in with Emily due to a fight he had with our step dad. They stopped at our house to say hi before they left for the camp.
After their visit they get back in Aston's truck. My little sister, Nova, who was about 6 or 7, asked them "Who's the boy in the back?" The thing is, no one was there. The back seat was full of blankets and pillows.
Aston and Emily turned and looked in the back seat. When they turned back to us Emily asked "What boy?" To which Nova replied, "The boy in the backseat. He looks like he feel down." I looked at my mom and I could see the confusion and fear on her face.
To this day Nova says she can see ghosts.
