There's colourful banners, streamers and ribbons everywhere as you shove your way through a crowd of people to your seats.

As soon as you come within a metre radius of your friend, she launches into a long ramble. "This is so unfair you know, this carnival? Because it's serious and for those super fast people like you to compete in. They should have one of those races for the super slow too," she says, shaking her red pom-pom around.

You tune out her rant and begin stretching. Good lord, just be quiet and enjoy it all, won't you?

I stand where the rest of EXO is mucking around, and where Baekhyun and Chen are being chased around again after committing some sort of terrible prank.

"Guys, we should go up into the stands," I suggest, pointing to the seats that are slowly filling up.

We flock into the front row seats like a bunch of hyper chickens.

"What ratheth are you competing in, Lu?"

"The relay?" I answer distractedly, watching the animatedly dancing cheerleaders avidly.

"Anything elthe?"

"Maybe."

Sehun leans over my lap to tap the girl beside me on the shoulder. She turns around.

"Hello!" she says cheerfully.

"Can I pleathe borrow the theet with all the ratheth on it?"

"Sure." She hands it over, smiling brightly. "You're from EXO right? Sehun and Luhan?"

I groan internally, hoping she isn't a sasaeng.

She beams again, her pretty face lighting up. "Well, that's really cool. My name's Priscilla and it's nice meeting you." Priscilla inclines her head and turns back to her friend.

I sigh in relief.

"Good thing thee wathn't a thathaeng. That would've been awful," Sehun remarks, reading through the plan.

"There's a lot of races."

Sehun gives me a look. "Of courthe, Luhan."

"First call for 1200m sprint, competitors, please make your way to the marshalling area."

I get up and so does Priscilla, and as we walk out of the stands, Sehun slips a pen into my pocket. "What the-"

Sehun puts a finger to his lips and shoos me away. "Jutht go."

Priscilla and I get put into lanes next to each other. "Good luck Luhan."

"You too."

"On your marks... Get set... Go!"

I run off, determinedly looking at the track as the crowd cheers. The EXO members not in the race are standing up, waving a banner with our logo an indecipherable drawing. Probably Kris' masterpiece.

The discus net obscures my vision of the track ahead as I go around the corner and I urge myself to run faster. I can see Chaeyoung behind me, obviously trying her hardest.

The finish line is so close.

"LANE NUMBER 6 WINS!" shouts the commentator. Victory is sweet.

"Good job!" Priscilla says, red-faced and breathing hard.

"Thanks."

We stumble back to our seats and wait for the next race. I participate in a few more, and get relatively good placings. The last event is the 8 x 100m relay.

Again, Priscilla and I go back to the starting line, where we get placed around the track at 100m intervals.

"On your marks... Get set... Go!"

The first runners sprint real quick. I'm the 7th runner and Priscilla the last. Eventually, a fiery-haired girl passes a blue baton over and I immediately take off, practically throwing the stick at Priscilla, who catches it easily finishes the race.

We win.

"WE WON!" Priscilla yells, waving her arms around.

"Calm down Lala," I mutter, ducking as she swings her arm at me.

"Sorry!" She gives me a cute, apologetic smile.

We return to our seats where Sehun is smirking and drinking bubble tea. "Where'd you get the bubble tea?"

Sehun shakes his head. "I left to get it, but I didn't mith your rathe. You were thtaring at Prithilla a lot, you know."

My cheeks redden. "Was not Sehun. You couldn't even see my face."

Sehun gulps down another mouthful. "I'm not blind you know. I could thee it."

"We won, we won, we're champions," Priscilla chants, still high on victory's euphoria.

"Do you want to go get ice cream from the stalls?"

"Ice cream? Sure!"

We find the small stalls outside, selling refreshments.

"Two vanilla ice creams, please."

Priscilla shrugs, clinking the coins onto the counter. I hand them back to her and give the shop assistant some notes. The lady smiles. "Such chivalry," she remarks, passing back the change.

I blush profusely and give Priscilla her cone, who seems to be off in La La Land.

"Thanks," she says. Biting into her ice cream, she unrolls the napkin to wipe her fingers only to see writing on the tissue.

It's a string of numbers that looks notably like a phone number. I try walking away awkwardly.

"Hey Luhan!"

"Yeah?"

"This is your number right?" She points to the writing.

I nod embarrassedly.

"Okay," she says, "I'll text you then. Valeria's waiting so see you later."

I watch her leave before returning to the other EXO members.

There's a text waiting when I arrive at the dorms.

Hi, it's Lala :) ~PriscilLala1

I smile and text back.

"Ooh! Luhan'th got a girlfriend!" Sehun shouts to the rest of the members.

"Shut up, Sehun!"
