a/n- this is just how i expect nolan to be since we haven't actually seen him yet, enjoy!

You were sat in class one morning, writing notes that the teacher wrote on the board when a knock on the door interrupted the class. The head teacher walked in with a boy you'd never seen before, he had short, dark blonde hair and an almost model like face structure.
"Sorry to interrupt your class, sir," the head teacher said, "but you have a new student, Nolan," he turned to the class, "please welcome him to our school, kids." He nodded before he left, leaving the boy standing nervously in the doorway.
Your teacher welcomed him to the class and told him to take the empty seat which happened to be next to you.
He walked over to you, you smiled as he approached. As soon as he saw you his lips curved into a smirk, immediately liking what he saw but it was soon replaced with a frown when he caught your friends Scott and Stiles staring at him.
You wondered why, Scott had probably sensed something about him already.
Nolan seemed distracted the whole lesson, looking around. You saw him fidgeting with his hands nervously until the bell finally rang and he grabbed his bag and rushed out of the classroom.
You turned and stared at Scott and Stiles as you grabbed your bag, "why were you staring at him, Scott? You made him uncomfortable."
"Him? Uncomfortable? There's something about him, y/n. He smelt of fear and anxiety." Scott noted.
"Probably because it's his first day at our school." You said sarcastically.
"No... that's not it, Deaton warned me of a new threat coming to Beacon Hills..." he trailed off as he saw Nolan at his locker, glancing around nervously.
"See!" Stiles exclaimed, agreeing with what Scott thought about him.
You shook your head, "you think he could be a threat?" You asked as you observed how nervous the boy seemed, he definitely didn't look threatening.
Then Stiles looked like he had an idea, he glanced at you excitedly, "y/n," he grinned, "why don't you be our informant?"
Scott nodded, "become friends with him and see if he's dangerous."
You rolled your eyes, "anything to prove you guys wrong." You said before walking over to Nolan who was closing his locker.
"Hey, Nolan." You said, striding over to him.
He turned around, his eyes widening when he saw you but he quickly composed himself, "hey- sorry, I didn't get your name?"
"Y/n." You smiled.
His lips curled into a smile, "well, it's nice to meet you, y/n... say, you couldn't show me where the library is, could you?" He asked.
"Of course! I'm heading there now actually." You smiled, starting to head towards the library Nolan fell into step alongside you as Scott and Stiles stared after both of you.
"Is this a bad idea?" Stiles asked, worried that you could get hurt.
"Y/n can handle herself." Scott assured him, he'd taught you how to protect yourself after all.

Later that day at lunch you reported back to Scott and Stiles as they sat on their table outside, "there's nothing threatening about him," you said as you sat opposite them, "he's just nervous because he doesn't know anyone and he doesn't know where anything is."
Stiles sighed, "well, I guess we'll have to work harder to find who the new threat is."
You saw Nolan wondering around looking for a table, immediately you gestured for him to sit with you, "Nolan!"
Scott and Stiles glanced at each other, then smirked at you.
"What?" You hissed.
"Someone has a crush." Scott teased.
"Because I want him to sit with us? Sure, Scotty." You groaned.
Before Nolan reached your table Scott chuckled, "I can hear your heart racing, y/n."
"Shut up, Scott." You whispered as Nolan took a seat besides you.
"Hey, y/n." He smiled, his dazzling blue eyes sparkled under the blinding light from the sun, distracting you.
Stiles kicked you underneath the table and you glared at him, "hey, Nolan." You finally replied.
"I'm sorry, I haven't introduced myself," Nolan said to Scott and Stiles, "I'm Nolan."
"Scott," Scott grinned, then pointed to Stiles, "Stiles."
For the rest of the lunch the conversation was light, Nolan asked about Beacon Hills and the school, but there really wasn't much to say since they couldn't trust him with their knowledge of the supernatural yet.
The bell rang for the final period and everyone went their separate ways, you walked Nolan to his next class.
"Thank for today, y/n, I didn't think I'd make any friends this quickly." He admitted shyly.
"No problem." You smiled, you watched as his eyes flickered over your face quickly, stopping at your lips.
Then he snapped out of his daze and looked away, "well, I better get to class, see you around, y/n." He grinned.
After school you were heading to Stiles' jeep for a ride home when you spotted Nolan heading towards a black Range Rover with a man leaning against the boot of the car.
You slowed your pace to observe him.
The man opened the boot and your eyes widened as you saw the contents of the car. Rows of guns and hunting weapons were stacked inside the boot.
Nolan immediately shut the boot and appeared to be yelling at the man.
"You can't bring these here, dad!" He whisper-yelled.
"I thought you were proud of this business, son." His dad mumbled.
"I am. But you can't show these off in public!" He exclaimed, looking around to see if anyone had seen the array of guns.
You quickly turned around and headed straight to the jeep. Unfortunately Nolan saw you and he moaned, "great."
"What is it, son?" His dad asked as they got into the car.
"Nothing." He mumbled as he stared out of the window at you getting in a blue jeep, he had to admit he did like you but now he thought all of his chances were gone if you'd seen the guns. He'd wanted to keep it a secret, his family were hunters and he'd been brought up to take over the family tradition.
His family knew of the supernatural in Beacon Hills, but now Nolan worried that if he became close to you you could get hurt. Anyone associated with the supernatural tended to get hurt, he just had to learn that the hard way.
"You know, your mom would be proud of how far you've come, son." His dad mentioned as they drove out of the school car park.
His heart ached as he thought of his mother, "thanks, dad."
Meanwhile you had already told Scott and Stiles what you'd seen.
"I told you there was something odd about him!" Scott exclaimed.
You sank back in the back seat of the jeep as Scott and Stiles talked about Nolan and their theories, you didn't want to believe what you'd seen.
