'But before they were born, before they had done anything good or bad, she received a message from God (this message shows that God chooses people according to his own purposes; he calls people, but not according to their good or bad works.) She was told "Your older son will serve your younger son."

Romans 9:11-12

The bible verse says it all really. God chooses people, not because of their actions and what they do, but just because he has an individual plan for everyone. He calls people because he has chosen them for this job before they have even been born. God made a plan for your life before you had even seen the light of day. Isn't that amazing?

Of course, that doesn't mean we have to follow that plan. It is our choice that decides our actions. We decide what path to follow. But God's plan will lead to happiness and a lifetime in heaven, should you choose to take it's road. Yes, it may be the long road, a wearisome journey, full of boulders and boundaries, but the destination is heaven. If you want to follow that path, the path that God chose for you before you even entered this world, pray this:

Prayer

Dear Lord,

Please help me along the path that you have chosen me. I choose to follow your way. I choose to embark on this glorious journey with you. I love you. I want you to be my guide, my leader, my teacher. Show me the way. Let me know when I am going astray. Let me follow you, Jesus. I have chosen you. I want your way.

Amen
