Part 51
Mr. Blackbourne's POV
"Mr. Blackbourne, this is a huge decision, and I do not know that I can make it right this moment." Kota looked worried and confused and deep in thought.
"The text I sent out was to all of your brothers except Victor, Dr. Green and yourself. I have called a family meeting to be held here in" I looked at my watch, "ten minutes. This is your chance to talk to your brothers if you need. You have until after Gabriel's presents at Victor's house tomorrow to decide." We have to have a deadline on this. Too many are falling deeply in love with Sang and this decision could rip our team, our family, apart.
"Thank you for giving me time to think about it. This is a huge decision. There are nine others to consider in my decision." I could see his eyes darting back and forth quickly as he thought through something. What is going on in that mind of yours Kota? Are you trying to figure out another plan? Because I believe the Anderson team is right. There is not another way to do this. "Mr. B, what is Sang to you?"
SHIT!!! I was not expecting that. "I want to leave my feelings out of your decision Kota. If I said I love her, you would feel pressured into agreeing to the plan. If I said I don't love her, you would not consider your own feelings, just automatically putting a stop to the love her or lose her plan. I want you to be free of any guilt in your own decision."
"Yea, but like you said, we either all LOVE her or we all lose her. If you do not love Sang, then you will feel that I pushed a relationship on you, and you will be resentful to not only me, but most likely Sang too. And she doesn't deserve to have anything less than full commitment of love from whomever she is in a relationship with."
"I do see your point Kota, but I have said from the start of hearing the other team tell us this, that I will do what is right for my family. And if you all love her, I will too. But if one of you cannot or will not get into an unusual relationship with her and all your brothers, I will be the bad guy and remove us all from her presence."
"What do you mean hearing the other team tell 'US'? Who is us?"
"North was with me on that task."
"So North knows the plan before me? I thought I was team lead?" His voice raising in challenge.
"You are, but I felt he would be the biggest obstacle with whatever they told us. I felt he would need to hear the plan straight from the horse's mouth." I raised my voice in response but kept it under control.
"And what was his reaction to the plan?" Kota's eyes narrowed on me.
"At first he said the plan was shit. Then I showed him pictures that Miss Sorenson had sent to me of her with you, and her with Nathan and her with North and Silas from the first football game. And he saw what I saw."
"Which is?"
"Not only did each of you look happy, but Sang did too. Now I see that look of happiness on her face all the time. The shadows of sorrow and pain are still there, but the happiness is out shining those shadows now."
"How many of my brothers know about the plan?"
"Well of course Dr. Green knows, and North knows, and then as each of your brothers started showing signs that they were, in fact, in love with her....we would sit down and talk with them, letting them know about the plan." I don't know if he will be happy to know he is one of the last to hear.
"Which of my brothers have already agreed to the plan?" He challenged my deflection.
Honesty with family, that' what we do. "All but you, Gabriel, and Luke."
"When are you going to tell Gabriel and Luke about the plan?" He asked me.
"When they arrive for our family meeting. They should be here momentarily."
"Do you mind then if I wait to hear if they have accepted the plan? As a leader I want to take into account everyone's vote before I cast mine."
"Being a leader is hard sometimes isn't it? It requires sacrifice and acceptance of things you otherwise might not have agreed to." I was trying my best to reassure him and teach him too.
The doorbell rang in random pings alerting us to the others arrival. We took a seat as Gabriel, Luke, and North entered. Just the two I wanted to see. "Mr. LukeTaylor, may I have a word with you please?"
"Sure Mr. B." I walked upstairs to Sean's spare bedroom with Luke following behind me. Once inside I closed the door.
"Mr. Taylor, I need to know how you feel about Sang?" He started laughing. I raised my eyebrow in question. This isn't a funny matter. This is life decisions being made.
"You must want to know if I accept the love her or lose her plan." He looked at me as my face changed to recognition that he already knew. "Like I told North, I thought we already were sharing her and I am good with it. I can have my cake and eat it too! Or if you like this one better, All for Sang, and Sang for All!"
The corner of my mouth rose up, Luke really is a happy, go with the flow kind of guy. "I am glad to hear that. Now, if you wouldn't mind sending Mr. Coleman up here, I still need to speak with him."
"Sure Mr. B, but I talked to Gabe this morning and he is good with the plan too."
"Thank you, but I still want to hear it from him to be certain." I remembered how Victor told me that Nathan was on board and the whole plan nearly blew up in our faces because Nathan was not being honest with Victor. But I am a human lie detector. I will know if Gabriel is lying to me or not if he talks to me.
Gabriel walked into the room. "What's up Mr. B?"
"Mr. Taylor informed me he has spoken to you about the plan and I wanted to hear from you what you think?"
"Fucking hell! I about shit my pants when he told me. But if I get to spend every Goddamn day of the rest of my fucking life with her, she can love all of you shit heads, as long as she fucking loves me too." We definitely need to work on his vocabulary skills. Was he raised by rednecks?
"Mr. Coleman, I thank you for your honesty, but could you please refrain from using so much profanity?"
"Sorry Mr. B. I will work on it." That was obviously a lie. I could see it in his eyes and in his body language. We have a lifetime to work on his vocabulary.
I heard the doorbell ringing again. Others were here. "Could you please send Mr. Lee up here? I would like to talk to him before the family meeting begins."
"Sure, but if you think Kota is going to accept the plan in the next 2 minutes, you have lost your fucking mind! He will need more than 2 minutes to process."
"Thank you for your concern. I just need to speak to him. Please send him up."
That is everyone. Everyone except myself and Kota. I guess Sean too. He never has said out loud that he is in or out. It was just the way he acted after hearing the plan that leads me to believe he is in. Kota entered the room and shut the door.
"It would seem that Mr. Taylor heard the plan from North and accepted without question. And he has since explained the plan to Mr. Coleman, who also accepted the plan. Now you still have time to think if you need, but I still need an answer by tomorrow night."
"Thank you. I will give this a lot of thought."
"I know you will. You are a great leader. And you will make the right decision. Whatever that decision is." We started to head downstairs to join the others.
Inside, I want to scream, JUST SAY YES! I don't know that my heart could survive not having Sang in my life. I would definitely need to move far away from her. I'm not even sure if Europe is far enough away. The British always say the Atlantic Ocean is just a pond. I don't think a pond could keep myself or my other brothers from having Sang in our lives. If Kota votes no, everything we have worked for will shatter. This family will not exist any more. It might even be just Kota leaving our team as the rest of us continue on with the plan. If he chose that, we could all help Sang to heal from the heartache I know he would cause her. Yes! Love her or those that don't, can choose a new family and lose her. Because I am NOT losing her!
I just stepped off the last step into the living room and everyone is here. I was so caught in my own thoughts I just blurted out, "I love her Kota!"
The room went silent and all eyes stared at me. I'm not sure anyone was even breathing. "Yes, I love Sang. I don't know how it happened, but she found her way past all my barriers into my heart. I have never truly loved a girl before. And I don't know that I will ever love another girl like I do Sang." I stopped talking as I took in the look from each of my brothers.
"That's fan-fucking-tastic!" Gabriel hooted.
"Shit! It's about time!" North commented.
Luke was smiling a happy warm smile at me and Nathan looked a little nervous. Silas just looked relieved but Kota looked pained. Damnit! What have I done? Now he feels the pressure I told him I would not force upon him.
Just then our phones all pinged with a text. Simultaneously, we pulled out our phones and pushed play. What we watched, couldn't have been more perfect.
We heard victor's voice say, "close your eyes." We could see him pull the helmet out of the truck and then shut the trunk. He aimed the camera at Miss Sorenson and the camera got closer to her. She is simply breathtaking!
The camera stopped moving and we heard him say, "Put your hands out." She did as she was told. He placed the helmet in her hands and said, "Now, open your eyes."
The look of surprise was written all over her face. Then she began tracing her finger over the intricate ivy design where she stopped at a red heart. Victor zoomed in so we could see Peanut written in it.
Nathan gasped at what he saw then smiled as Victor zoomed out to show us Sang's reaction. Her face melted a little and it looked like she was having difficulty swallowing.
He followed her hand movement as she located the second heart, pale blue with Forever written in it. Luke made an, "awwwwwe" sound and then started laughing as he touched his phone screen. He was obviously trying to touch Sang.
She found the next heart that was black and inside it said Baby. North grunted. Victor captured the tears that were forming in Sang's eyes and I looked at North. You could see love pouring out of his eyes towards the girl of his dreams. Silas playfully punched North's arm and North smiled at him.
Next, Sang found a Purple Heart that said Pookie and I couldn't help but smile for my best friend Sean. You could see she loved him by the way her finger caressed over the nickname. I hope he gets time to watch this video at work.
On the top of the helmet she found a navy blue heart with Aggele inside it. Tears were streaming down her face now. And Silas verbally cooed at his phone as if she could hear him, "Aggele, don't cry. You will always be Aggele Mou." This gentle giant looked like he might start crying too.
Then she found the heart I have been waiting for, as soon as I realized how Victor had personalized the helmet. The hunter green heart on the center back of the helmet with the number 10 in the middle. Sang's face grew into a smile. I looked at Kota and he looked lost in love. THANK YOU VICTOR! How did he know we needed this video right now?
On the very front of the helmet was an orange heart with trouble inside of it. "Hell right Trouble!" Gabe exclaimed as Sang began laughing. Gabe started laughing with Sang and everyone else did too. Again my eyes went to Kota. He was smiling and laughing like the rest of them.
When Sang found the white heart you could hear Victor groan a little as Sang ran her finger around the shape of the heart and then run her finger over the word Princess. It was as if she had just caressed his dick.
My pants were getting a little tighter as I anticipated her seeing the heart that represented me. Her breath caught and she gasped as she found the grey heart and inside it read Miss Sorenson. I couldn't help the smile that broke across my face. She was still crying, but she looked like she felt absolutely loved. I wanted to reach through the phone and pull her close to me and hold her forever.
She looked up at Victor, love obvious in her expression and she said in her sweet voice, "thank you so much. This is perfect."
"No Ten, you are perfect." Kota said firmly and looked at me. Then he looked back to his phone as we watched Sang hug and kiss Victor on the lips. There were groans by a number of the boys and lots of shifting and readjusting of pants.
"I agree to the plan Mr. Blackbourne. We will all love her." Kota said without a doubt evident in his voice.
My phone rang and I saw it was Sean. I raised my finger to hold that thought as I answered it. "Sean?"
"Put me on speaker Owen." I did as he said.
"You are on speaker, everyone can hear you." I told him.
"I just got the video from Victor. You have all watched it?" He questioned.
"Yes." We all responded.
"I believe that everyone has been made aware of the plan?" He asked.
"Yes."
"I want my vote heard and not assumed. I vote yes! I want this to work. I NEED this to work. I cannot lose her boys."
"Your vote has just made it unanimous, Dr. Green. We now need to figure out how to tell Miss Sorenson without scaring her off. I think we are all too deep in love with this beautiful bird to muck up now."
"We can't tell her as a group, that will freak her out." North spoke first.
"But who gets to tell her first? And if that person tells her they love her, won't she just go into her head with worry again like after I messed up and told her?" Nathan asked, concern and sorrow in his voice.
"What about throwing the race tomorrow?" Luke asked with excitement.
"What do you mean throw the race?" Silas asked, confused.
"If Sang wins racing go-karts she gets a reward from each of us. Now we don't know what she will ask, but if the rewards are done individually, we can tell her then."
"But how do we tell her that we all love her if we tell her one at a time?" Gabriel asked.
"With honesty." Kota responded. "I love you Sang, or I am in love with you Sang, but so are my brothers. Can you allow us to all love you?"
Silence, as everyone thought about what he said. North started nodding his head, Silas squeezed Kota's shoulder, Nathan reached out for a fist bump, "oh it's on, like Donkey Kong!" Gabe proclaimed. "All for Sang and Sang for all!" Luke cheered. Sean was laughing on the phone.
"Well that's settled. We will all love Sang, and she will love all of us back." This better work!
"This meeting is adjourned. Get your assignments done so you do not have to miss out on Laser-fx fun." Kota said in his command voice. I cannot help but smile, he is a good leader. He truly wanted to make the right decision for everyone, and that included Sang. Witnessing her receiving the helmet was what solidified his vote.
Watch out Miss Sorenson, because you are about to be fully loved by nine men!
