Part 49
Kota's POV
Mr. B had asked me to come to Dr. Green's at 10:25am. I thought this was odd since Victor was supposed to pick Sang up at 10:30am. Why the five minute overlap? Not that I minded seeing my perfect 10.
I pulled up at 10:23 but sat in the car until it was time. Mr. B likes punctual but doesn't always like early, since he might be busy with something else if you are early. At precisely 10:25 I hurry to the door and ring the doorbell. 1 long, 2 short. Random, that's Academy.
Sean called out "come in" even though the lock was engaged. If it really is one of our team, we have keys to let ourselves in. I opened the door and relocked it behind me. Then I walked into the living room where hopefully Sang will be.
I know I got to see her at school yesterday, but last night's preliminary work was exhausting. It felt like I hadn't seen Sang for a week. Once in the living room I made a quick scan for Sang. Ahhh, there she is! She doesn't look hurt, that's good. Maybe they really did keep her out of Trouble last night.
My 10 jumped up and ran over to me bouncing as she went. I held out my arms for her, and she jumped into my waiting arms. Squeezing her tight to my body, her legs wound around my waist. Good God! Her legs spread wide, leaves her crotch next to mine. If I just walk with her like this I would have some nice friction going on. And a hard on! Ha ha ha.
"You're here!" She squealed at me drawing my mind away from my crotch.
"Only for a little bit. Then you will leave with Victor." I repressed a sigh.
"I know. But at least I get to see you for a little bit first." I set her down and looked at her fingers. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10! Perfect as usual! This gives me relief to know she is whole. Too many close calls for me.
I grabbed her hand and walked to the couch. I sat down and pulled Sang onto my lap. "What have you been playing?" I was looking at Dr. Green putting some cards away.
"Blackjack. I'm not very good at it though." I laughed and snuggled my face into her neck. She smells divine!
"That's ok Sweetie. It is not necessary in life to be good at blackjack." And we both laughed.
"Kota, have you already gotten started on your assignment for the weekend?" Mr. B asked me. Does he really want me to talk Academy in front of Sang? Looking at him, he wants an answer.
"Yes. I did some preliminary work yesterday so I could finish quickly today. Victor invited us all to stay over the night at his place, since his parents are out of town for the weekend, once we are done with our work. I told everyone they would not go to Gabriel's party at Laser-fx unless their work was done." I made sure he knew the work came first.
"I bet they are all up and at it already then. Thank you for the report. What is the plan for tomorrow?"
I know he doesn't want fluff, just specifics. "All day at Laser-fx starting at 10am and finishing at 5pm. Lunch includes pizza and salad bar. Presents and cake afterward at Victor's place. And don't forget we are doing black light laser tag. So wear something dark, unless you want to glow." I can't help but smile as I remember the first time we played laser tag with black lights. Luke had on light blue pants and Victor had on a white shirt. They both lost so bad, it was funny.
"Dark fatigues it is." He said in confirmation. "Does everyone else know what to wear?"
"Yes. We talked yesterday at lunch."
The doorbell rang and Dr. Green yelled, "come in." Victor walked in wearing casual clothes and Doc said, "Good morning Victor."
"Good morning Doc." Then Victor looked at each of us as he said our names. "Mr. B, Kota, Princess."
Sang got up and walked over to Victor. She stopped right in front of him and they held hands. They just looked at each other. "Are you about ready?" He quietly asked her.
"Yes." She whispered back. I was watching them. Victor didn't look as possessive as he use to. I remember that first sleepover when he was ready to fight me because I wanted to dance with her too. Look how far we have come.
"Go have fun Miss Sorenson. Victor take good care of her and do not let her out of your sight." Mr. B instructed. "Dr. Green, do you have to leave for a shift now?"
"Yes. I am just putting on my shoes and I will be out the door behind Victor and Sang."
"Do you mind if I stay here and talk with Kota?"
"Be my guest. I will see you all later." Doc walked over to Sang and kissed her cheek. Then he went upstairs.
I got up to say goodbye. I just got to see her and one of my brothers is already taking her away again. I walked over to Sang and said, "I will see you tonight. Listen to Victor and please stay out of trouble." Then I kissed her cheek too. It is always hard having to say goodbye to her again.
Mr. B motioned for Victor and Sang to leave. He opened the door and walked out with them, effectively cutting off my time with Sang. It's ok though, when I finish with my assignment today I can go to Victor's and spend all night with her.
Mr. B came back inside and sat in an arm chair near me. He wasn't saying anything, just staring at me all stoic. I could hear Doc banging around upstairs. Then he came running down the stairs ready for work.
"I will see you all later. I get to go play doctor now." Doc said to us.
"Sean, you are not playing doctor, you are a doctor." Mr. B said and rolled his eyes. I don't think I have ever seen him do that. Nor have I seen Mr. B wear such casual clothes, except when we are in fatigues. But even then, he doesn't look casual. It is like being in the twilight zone.
"I know, it just makes my work day sound better if I say I am playing rather than working." And he shrugged his shoulders. I chuckled at his comment.
Mr. B walked Doc outside to his car and I am left just sitting here waiting to see what Mr. B needs to meet with me about. About two minutes later he comes back in.
"Before I talk with you I need to send out a text ok?" He stated with only a slight question to his voice.
"Ok." I responded. I sat there for a minute. I thought it might be for our team. Well, it wasn't a text that included me because my phone never pinged.
He put his phone in his pocket and sat back in the chair, putting his left ankle on his right knee. His hands on his ankle. "Kota, I need to have a serious talk with you about Miss Sorenson."
Here it comes. He wants her in the Academy. No Way! "Go ahead."
"What exactly do you feel for Sang? Do you see her as a friend, as a sister, as a girlfriend, as just a neighbor, what?"
That was not what I was expecting. Yes, she is a friend and she is a girl but she is not my girlfriend, yet. I want her to be, but I don't know if I could get her to say yes to me. I can't have what I want with everyone else still vying for her affection. Did one of my brothers come tell Mr. B that he and Sang were now exclusive? Which one could already be at that point with her? I have seen her hold hands, sit in laps, hug and kiss cheeks of all my brothers, but that's as far as it has gone. Or has it gone further? Doc, Mr. B and I all had two minutes in the closet with her. And that two minutes was pure Heaven!
"KOTA!" Mr. B snapped his fingers twice at me, "get out of your head and answer me please."
"Sorry. Um... How do I feel about Sang?" I paused again before answering. "She is my perfect 10. There is no other way to put it." Mr. B smiled at me. Why would he be happy if one of my other brothers had already come to him to claim her. Maybe she said something last night about wanting to date me and he is just trying to help the relationship work.
"KOTA! STOP REVERTING INTO YOURSELF!" He commanded with authority.
I focused on Mr. B so he would know I am listening. "I'm focused now."
"How do you think Sang feels about you?"
"I don't know really. I hope she likes me. We hang out together, I sleep next to her, and we have kissed." I began blushing a little.
"Now the tricky questions, how do your brothers feel about Sang?" He stared at me with all seriousness. One eyebrow was raised as he questioned my response before I could even give it.
"If I was being honest, I would have to say that all of them probably like Sang the same as I do."
"And does that bother you?"
"At first we had a little bit of jealousy and too high of testosterone flowing, but we would always diffuse the situations before they became anything."
"Again you avoided the question. Does it bother you that your brothers have feelings for Sang?"
"I wish I could call her my own, but I know that we all had a part in saving her life on many different occasions. If she and I had been exclusive, she might have died. So I know it is important that she have us all in her life. It seems to take an army to look out for her." And I laughed.
"Ok. So how does Sang feel about your brothers?"
"Again, I don't know. Probably the same as me. She has done the same things with my brothers that she has done with me and she willingly goes to all of them to sit with them or play with them or work with them." She really is the perfect girl. Man I am lucky to have her in my life.
"I have met with another all dog team. They were a group of four, and they had a similar situation with saving a bird. They had to keep her close to keep her safe. But after so long together, as a group, they all found they had feelings for her. Each of them were in love with her. And to their surprise, she loved them all."
"What exactly are you saying Mr. B?" My senses heightened that the bomb is about to drop.
"They had a solution and I think our team would be able to make it happen too. Let me tell you this, before I tell you the plan, the other team said multiple teams have tried to bring one bird in on an all dog team and their solution is the ONLY one that has worked."
"What is the plan Mr. B". I ask a little coldly. I am not liking that he hasn't told me the plan yet. It means I am not going to like what I hear. If it wasn't that bad, he would have just told me. Everyone knows to just rip the bandaid off quickly.
"We either all love her and she loves all of us, or we all lose her."
Silence and tension have filled the room. I finally break that silence, "yet another reason she cannot be brought into the Academy! She will never go for that. It is one thing to form a friendship with nine guys and it is a whole other thing to say she is going to love all of us. And do you mean love us as in eventually having a romantic intimate relationship with all nine of us?"
"So is that your vote then Kota? You vote we all lose her? Because it is one or the other. Either you love her and you accept that your other brothers all love her too or you don't love her and we all walk away."
"What do you mean walk away?" I asked, not liking the sound of that.
"Do you honestly think that any of your brothers that are in love with Sang could stand to be within the same state as her and not be near her? Fuck! Do you think they could even be within the same country or continent and not want to be by her side? Think about it Kota. If any one of you votes no....we all lose her. We all walk away."
He just sat there looking at me as I think about what he is saying. Could I lose her? Could I do that to my brothers,if they really are in love with her too? Why now though? Why does this have to be decided today? "Mr. B, why the urgency of deciding this today?"
"I recently saw an assignment come over the Academy wire, a team is needed in Europe for a year. If one of you votes no, we will drop the Ashley Waters assignment and move next week. The only way any of your brothers or even Sang, for that matter, could allow their heart to heal would be with a clean break. If you vote yes, we stay and we love her for the rest of our lives. If you vote no, we move in a few days."
That is a ton of pressure to put on one person. I know that I am team lead and I could chose to lead my team into a loving relationship with Sang, all be it an unusual relationship, or I could lead my team to another country for a whole new life. Time to heal. Time to forget. "Mr. Blackbourne, this is a huge decision, and I do not know that I can make it right this moment."
"The text I sent out was to all of your brothers except Victor, Dr. Green and yourself. I have called a family meeting to be held here in" he looked at his watch, "ten minutes. This is your chance to talk to your brothers if you need. You have until after Gabriel's presents at Victor's house tomorrow to decide."
"Thank you for giving me time to think about it. This is a huge decision. There are nine others to consider in my decision." It just hit me, was Mr. B saying he was in love with Sang too? And Dr. Green? Well I can see Doc falling for Sang. He calls her Pookie and flirts with her all the time. Yea, he is for sure in love with Sang. But Mr. B always calls her Miss Sorenson and I don't know that I have seen him touch her much. Maybe her elbow or her shoulder to calm her down. But something more intimate? "Mr. B, what is Sang to you?"
