Chapter 20: Afraid

Stupid Galloway. How dare he?

He comes and asks for the 'bots to leave peacefully after they saved the planet hundreds of times and never asked for anything in return.

After listening to Galloway about asking my family to leave Earth peacefully if their president says yes, which kinda(really) made me mad and....I stormed off to my room to cool down a bit. Which isn't working.

Why? Why does he want the 'bots to leave?

He really believes that the bots' attracts danger to this planet.

That's bullsh-

"Liza?"

"Huh...?" I was so angry I didn't even notice a tall man standing in my doorway. I didn't know him, but for some reason he seemed familar. "Who are you?" I asked.

He was just a bit taller than Ironhide's holoform; probably 6'4.

He wore an all black outfit with brown boots; Electric blue eyes that looked like they were glowing and dark blue hair that could've been mistaken for black.

"It is me, Liza."

At hearing the deep baritone voice of the man, I instantly knew it was my dad. In his holoform.

"Dad?"

He approached me in a calm way with a look I didn't understand. Anger? Sorrow? Sadness? I don't know.

"What's wrong?"

I tilted my head at the sudden question.

Yes, I was still a bit upset about the whole Galloway thing, but I kinda cooled off a bit. (Lies) Eventually I'll get over it....probably.

"Nothing. I'm fine."

I thought I was fine, but I really wasn't. I held his gaze as he narrowed his eyes at me, almost like he was searching for any type of emotion. He dropped his head and sighed.

"Your hands."

My hands?

I looked down and noticed my hands were in tight fists, so tight that my knuckles were white.

What the- I didn't even realize that. Geez I guess I was angrier than I thought.

I felt a larger hand placed upon mine and heard a soft sight escape my dad's lips.

One by one he unfolded each of my fingers from a fist and placed a soft kiss on the back of both hands.

"Why are you upset?"

I held my head down, avoiding his firm gaze. He gently lifted my head, forcing me to look at him.

"Tell me." He demanded in a fatherly tone.

I knew there was no point in making excuses or brushing him off. He knew.

He knew I was still upset and he wanted find out why.

Now.

I bit my lip nervously, turning my attention to my wall. He watched my actions carefully, as he waited for an answer.

"I heard you talking with General today." I started nervously. I relaxed a bit at seeing my dad's expression soften. "Y'all were talking about Shanghai and the Deceptions until...Galloway....um."

"If you heard the conversation between me and the General I assume you heard Galloway a-"

"He wants you guys off the planet dad!"

"Sweetspark-"

"Dad he wants you gone! I-I don't want you to go. I don't want any of you to go! You're the only family I have left!"

"Liza, calm do-"

"Please don't go!" I cried out while flinging my arms around his neck, pulling him into a tight hug. He pushed my head towards his chest and rubbed my back soothingly while placing his head on top of my mine.

I buried my head into the warmth of his chest, afraid of losing him. He was the only real father I ever had. I didn't get hit, yelled at, or kicked, but instead I was loved and cared for by him. By my mom, Bee, Hide, Ratch and all of the bots' and humans. They showed me love that I thought I would never receive. I always thought I was a mistake and was never meant to be here, but they gave me a reason to be here. They encouraged me to ignore the negativity and push on in life.

I know how being abandoned feels. I don't want to experience it again. I don't want to lose another family. No not again.

"There sweetspark. I'm not going anywhere." He hugged me tighter and kissed my head as he continued to comfort me. I leaned into the to the warmth of a father. Something that I yearned for when I was much younger.

"Daddy...please don't go. D-Don't leave. I love you too much." I whimpered, wincing as my voice cracked.

"I love you too sweetspark. Don't worry. I'll always be here with you." He said a bit above a whisper. He sat there, comforting me, like a real father.

We sat together, enjoying each other's company as he whispered sweet sayings to calm me. That was until Bumblebee walked in the room. Once he saw me a look of concern instantly appeared on his Ivory colored face.
He looked over at my dad while gesturing to me basically asking "What's wrong with her?".

"Do not worry Bumblebee. She was upset about a few things earlier , but she's alright now." Dad reassured.

I could tell he seemed a bit hesitant at believing his answer, but decided to let it go.

"Don't worry about me. I'm fine BeeBee. Anyways what are you doing here?" I asked changing the subject to stop him from worrying.

Bee paused for a few seconds, before he looked towards my dad.

"Oh...Sam is leaving for college soon and Bumblebee wishes for you to come with him to assist him with packing and goodbyes."

College?!

My whole mood brightened.

"Sammy?! He's leaving soon and I totally forgot!" I quickly hopped off my bed and ran towards Bee, grabbing his arm and began pulling him out the room.
"Come on Bee we gotta go!" I exclaimed pulling Bee out the room with me, missing the faint chuckle behind me.
