Chapter 18: Learning

........

It played like a never-ending move in my head. It kept playing over and over and my heart broke each time.

Sam! Sam where are you?!

Dad.

You're so weak.

I listened as the unforgettable words continued in my head, haunting my mind. I couldn't forget that evil grin and those red optics. The face haunted me, not leaving my memory once.

_-_-_-_-_-_-

"Wake up!"

"Ah!" My body jumped in fear and would've fell forward if the seat belt around me wouldn't have tightened its grip and pull me back. My eyes blinked rapidly in confusion as my brain tried to process what happened.

"Easy. Just calm down."

"What happened?" I asked in confusion while looking around Ironhide's alt form.

"You were mumbling things while you were sleeping." Ironhide answered.

"I was asleep?!"

"Yes and-"

"How long have I been sleep?"

"Not long."

"But dad he...how-"

"Optimus is fine."

"Where is he? Is he at base?"

"He should be there."

"How long do we have until we get there?

"We'll be there in approximately 20 earth minutes."

I looked out the window and noticed that we were in the quiet wastelands.

We'll be there soon.

"What is bothering you?" Ironhide suddenly asked.

"W-What?"

"What is bothering you?" You've been acting like you're paranoid or scared. You've been acting this way since we were with Annabelle and Sarah. Has someone threatened you or something?"

"No I'm fine it's just-"

"Is it that silly dream you were blabbering on about?"

"It's not a dream."

"Stop letting that bother you. Nothing is going to happen."

"But it won't get out of my head."

"Well get it out of your head."

"I'm serious. You're not listening to me!"

"I am listening and I haven't heard nothing but crazy foolishness from you!"

"It's not foolishness! If you'd just listen and maybe-"

"Liza."

"This hasn't happened before, so-"

"Nothing. Is. Going. To. Happen. Stop worrying!" He growled, cutting me off.

"What if my vision means something?"

"It's just a silly dream! How many times do I have to tell you?"

"It's not a dream! It felt so real!"

"Just your imagination."

"It's not my...ugh..do you think cause I'm a kid I don't know any better?"
