I wish I could,
Share sweet words.
But I cannot,
For that would be lying,
To every atom of my being.

I do not have that,
The ability to spell out,
Many sweet words,
In quick succession.

The world needs someone,
Who can shout,
Who can mumble,
The sweetest of words,
Whenever a broken heart,
Needs some reassurance.

Perhaps I will be the reason,
That I will rarely speak sweetly.
I am still playing the warrior,
The fighter who doesn't need support,
That's the biggest lie,
The most difficult act,
I've ever had to keep up.

I can hear sweet words,
Spill from your lips.
They're so delicate,
So unimaginably precious,
Yet the sounds drift into the air,
Where no one can tell it was a lie.
