If the truth,
Is what it says it is on the tin.
Why would you cover,
Or rip the label,
Just to hide it?
I may be scared of the truth.
Too honest to speak of it,
But too nervous to speak of it,
Just the same.
I may be scared of the truth.
Things are said.
Rumours are believed.
So I have a reason,
To fear the truth.
I may be scared of the truth.
Truthfulness and honesty,
Morals that we should live by,
But, we just don't.
People will talk.
People will lie.
So, am I wrong?
Am I wrong to fear the truth?
I am scared of the truth,
People talk.
People accuse.
That's my reasoning,
To be scared of the truth.
