All your white lies,
Painted in a deafening pink.
It's highlighted so wonderfully,
That you can't tell how the pink is red.
The pretty secrets you keep,
Encased by so many roses,
That you don't notice the thorns.
The pale skin,
Covered by such long and thick sleeves,
That you can't notice the chains,
Curling tightly against the wrists.
The lost gaze in your eyes,
It won't be noticed,
Because of the mask you wear.

I can see these things,
As I partake in them too.

The white lies disguised as pink,
Hide the red flags of being within your mind.
The dark secrets hidden by roses,
That cover up the thorns that tear you down as you talk.
Your lifelessly pale skin covered by sleeves,
Only hide the chains tying you to the wall that is your sorrow.
The happy mask you wear,
It hides your nervous and cold eyes.

I see all of this in you,
Because I know all those feeling too.

You can almost see how the colours,
That you briskly paint over what you must hide,
Are too loud for people to catch the loneliness in your voice,
As you continue to lie to them.
