The one morning I wake up happy,
An hour later,
I'm greeted with the news,
That you're gone.

You've been taken too.
I just wish I could've been given the chance,
This time,
To say "I love you."
And, "Goodbye."

Two grandparents gone,
Same hour,
Same month,
Almost to the day, to be,
Just over nine years apart.

I tried not to be close,
For fear that your death,
Would hit me this hard.
It didn't matter.

You were still my nan,
And I still love you,
Thank you for fighting for as long as you did.

Please,
Please,
Rest in peace.
