Leave me here now,
Let my words begin to fail,
Tip over the edge,
Mess up my pronunciation,
And come out slurred,
And I vow to not try again.

Now you think the way I speak,
Is poorly worded and quiet,
So you let my words begin to fail,
Fumble around themselves into a silence,
And come out jumbled,
Into my breathless silence.

I left my words to fail,
I leave my sentences to fade into the air,
A pile of poor pronunciation,
A whispered memory of breathless quiet,
A slurred mess of blurry lines.

So as my words fail,
And I vow to never try again,
The people point and laugh,
And I still let my words fail,
As I promise to swear myself,
Into a breathless silence,
Where only words fail.
