When I woke up, it only felt like ten minutes of sleep, but I had to go pee so I sat up and looked at the time and it was 7 a.m. shit! wasn’t I supposed to be getting back to the Mayhem Festival?
“Joey” I said shaking him
“just leave the cookies in the oven for ten more minutes dummy” he moaned
“Joey!” I said shaking him violently
“earthquake!” he yelled sitting up and then looked at me with a smile,
“oh hey! It wasn’t a dream! You are with me!” he said happily and then I couldn’t help, but laugh.
“god I missed your laugh” he said giving me a small kiss on the lips,
“so whats up?” he asked with a smile. I giggled a bit and then I remembered why I was so worried!
“oh! We’re supposed to be getting back to Mayhem!” I squealed
“oh shit! What city?!” he asked
“Phoenix Arizona”
“what?!”
“wait you want me to repeat it again?”
“no I get it…we can’t skip it and then go tomorrow?”
“tomorrows New Mexico! And no I can’t skip today! Its my job and I promised Lauren I would be there!”
“maaaaaaaaan! Fine get ready cuz we leave in 15 minutes! Its gonna be a loooong drive” he said with a sigh.
“yay! Thank you!” I squealed as I hugged him and hen kissed his head and quickly ran to the bathroom. My bag was there so I quickly did my business and then got changed into some clean clothes and then I did my hair and makeup. When I made sure I looked okay as usual, I gathered all my stuff and made my way out of the bathroom where Joey was already ready.
“I feel dirty wearing the same clothes again, but then again I always do that” he said with a laugh
“yeah well you still look hot” I said with a smile
“oh and you look even hotter” he said walking up to me and then pulled me closer to him so that our noses touched.
“so are we gonna go or what?” I asked with a smirk
“I was hoping we’d stay in bed” he said returning the smirk
“lets go” I said pulling away, but then he pulled me back and kissed me and then let go,
“alright then” he said making me laugh as we grabbed our stuff and then walked out of the room and to the elevator.
“how long do you think it takes to get from here to Phoenix?” I asked Joey
“well it should take about five hours” he replied
“five hours?! So we’ll get there like one in the afternoon?! I’m supposed to be there by eleven at least!” I said in disbelief trying to calm down
“I can’t help, but think that this is my fault” Joey said sounding guilty.
“no its not” I said with a small laugh as I got closer to him and hugged him and then the elevator doors opened.
“yeah it is” he said a bit bummed out as I let go of him and then we got out of the elevator. He went up to the front desk to check out of the hotel while I stayed behind and watched him for a bit, and then I quickly grabbed my phone and dialed Lauren’s number and waited.
“hello?” she answered
“Lauren its October!” I replied
“October! Where the fuck are you?! Please tell me you’re almost here”
